1. Has anyone imported a 2nd hand bass from outwith the EU recently? How are import duties worked out and is it straightforward to pay for and collect the instrument?
2. Love it
3. Becoming seriously tempted now. However, I couldn't get on with the scale length of my Thumb so moved it on but I've never owned a 5'er.....
4. Aww man, wish I was able to craft stuff with my clumsy paws :-(
5.
[sub]Does anyone know if they do left handers. [/sub]
I'm afraid not. I already contacted to ask. However, Bravewood guitars will build a lefty relic, although they are more expensive.
6. Remove the strings and unscrew the neck plate. Remove the neck to see if there are any markings on either neck join or body cavity to help identify but I doubt there will be. Best is to search ebay UK + US as well as google image search for 'Jackson bass'. If you see a matching one, the webpage its on may hold the info you require.
7. Excellent job blablas. Let us know if you ever decide to start making custom pickguards for fellow lefties.
8. I bet Seasick Steve snaps this up!
9. Patience young Paduan. A buyer will reveal themselves soon enough. In the meantime, I'm enjoying those pics before this thread is locked once sold :-)
10. I would have some real tasty basses in my collection had I been able to hold on to everyone Ive ever owned so good luck getting back the 'special one'!
11. Is the nut reversible? I play with strings in reverse order.
12. Ha! That's a classic wind up. On topic, a lefty Bravewood P and matching J bass would be my ideal if I could generate the funds. They do look the bo@##cks.
13. Lovely colour. I don't know where Limelight source their parts but it must be limited as they can't offer lefties. However, Bravewood say they can. Is their reputation as good?
14. Would these be too big for a half size?
15. I played at the Overwater stand at a Glasgow music show a long, long time ago. Really nice basses even then and Chris was keen to build me a discounted lefty but I was young and skint and still the latter....hehe.
16. I only played short scales for years. Main gigging bass was a 1968 Gibson EBO with back up being a 1978 Fender Musicmaster with a replacement Seymour Duncan Basslines single-coil 50's P bass pickup. Sold both when I stopped playing for about 7 years. Now equipped only with P and J basses.
17. Just out! Sterling by Musicman Ray34 in natural.
18. Is this one going to be fretted or fretless?
19. And still no lefties offered in this range :-(
20. If I could make just one of those knobs I would be well chuffed never mind a whole instrument.
21. Black with maple. My favourite combination :-)
22. Strange tuning system. What's the string tension like?
23. Link not working for me. Maybe post up a photo?
