1. Anyone looking for one of these, Thomann website sells for around £200 for this very cab depending on exchange rate. Not sure about postage. Been tempted by one of these for a while. Maybe with a micro head like Eden or GK. No room or the strength for the big stuff now ;-)
2.
Anyone here know how to contact Deezbar? - I PM'ed him on the Roscoe but he hasn't been online since Nov 2nd.
Its his Roscoe that is on ebay right now sitting at £520 with under 2 days to go. Try contacting him via ebay if you're a member.
3. Decals guy is cool with me passing on his details so p.m. me for his email and prices. You wont be disappointed.
4. I'll put up the email address or p.m. anyone interested for the decals once Glen gives me the ok.
5.
It does say if you read the small print sir Will put some picks up if I can work out how... cheers Max
If you would like I can put you in touch with someone who provides Fender decals if you want to fit a replacement. Ive used them and they are excellent quality.
6.
If anybody wants to take a look at this JB, I travel up and down M4 weekly so its possible to meet up. Pictures are availible on request ...it really is in good condition, the body is almost mint.... Sensible offers are invited..
I believe forum rules say you must quote an asking price.
7. Nice looking Tobias on ebay at 'buy it now' or 'best offer'. Anyone got one/ played one?
8. Might be interested in the combo but would have to be willing to send it by courier as Im up in Braveheart territory.
9.
For Sale!! My Roscoe LG3000 lefty fretless. On EBay at mo BIN at £800,anyone here fancy it £700!! Bargain for a lefty Roscoe. As fretless's go..it's as good as it gets :-)
Yeah, I spotted it today. Still got the Wal?
10. If you're still after a control plate there are a couple on ebay. They are not listed as left-handed but if you look at them it seems a simple case of unscewing the 3 bolts holding the pots and jack connection and simply moving them around to suit as whole thing is symmetrical. Choice of chrome, gold or black.
11. Ooh er...Looks like im already late to this:-( Any chance you have a stash of these at same price?
12. Im on site via my mobile and have just managed to delete my friends, haha. Sorry bout that if it was you. Stupid bass fingers!
13.
I know why it disappeared sblue as bought it and dont want to tell us crafty bugger
Haha! Just had another look under completed listings and isnt there. The guy did include a phone number so prob sold it private. Looked like a cool copy with correct logo etc and vintage Ricky parts. He had it up at £450. No idea whether that was a good deal.
14. Didnt Hadge just pick up a Ricky? Maybe this copy would make a good gigging option if his real one is too precious to play live.
15. There's a nice-looking Ricky copy on ebay right now. No idea if value is accurate but seller seems open to contact.
16. Is the complete rig still available? Needing something portable as back aint up to the big stuff anymore.
17. I would be all over this had it been a lefty. Gutted that Squier couldnt be bothered producing any CV bass models.
18. There's a classic vibe p bass in fiesta red on ebay right now.
19. Thanks for the info guys. I know with the brass ones you can simply unscrew the individual string adjusters out and reverse the order. This would be preferable.
20. Ive been looking at a Warwick bass currently for sale. Thing is, Im a lefty and would need to turn the nut round. It has a plastic nut not a brass one. Can these be unscrewed and switched around?
21. I meant for the Fender museum. They could also make an exact replica as the Jaco models currently offered are really just estimates from photographs. Jaco must be responsible for the jazz bass being the most popular bass out there. Almost everyone who is anyone in the bassworld cites him as an influence or inspiration. Trujillo did the right thing. A fan getting his hands on it and playing it. I doubt the Pastorius family will ever own it. There are several other Jaco basses out there that ordinary people seem to own with no legal objections yet we know most were probably stolen from Jaco in his latter fragile state. Cant wait for the documentary film being made to come out.
22.
I dunno man. I'm not a fan of Metallica but why is it bad he's playing the bass? Yeah he's a "less skilled" player I guess but other than that, how is it "inglorious" that he play it? I still don't understand this logic. It is a legendary bass and Metallica are still pretty big in terms of popularity. Just think, you could get a big buzz for the younger generation to check out the history of it and then they may get into Jaco's music too?
I agree. Anything that keeps the music of the 'greatest bass player in the world' alive is fine by me. Personally, Im amazed Fender didnt buy it considering what Jaco must have done for the sale of their basses.
23.
Did you have to chamfer the screw holes when flipping it?
The workshop guy had to counter-sink the holes on the flip side and slightly file around the pickup area so it would fit. Also a couole of holes didnt match up but this wasnt a problem to fix. The finish is matte on the flip side as opposed to the brushed finish on proper side but colour is good. Work was done at a guitar place in Glasgow.
24.
I'd have it myself but the missus'll do her nut, i couldn't hide a red one
Haha!
