1. Is the E string saddle on your bridge significantly lower than the others? Next thing I'd look at is distance between pickup and strings, string by string. If all good with the above I would look at EQ.
2. Not everyone in a bar wants to hear a band tho. A lot of people want to be able to conduct a conversation without the usually deafening pub band drowning them out. For that reason, a seperate section of a bar usually works to keep both sets of punters happy.
3. What's the difference between the Thumpinator and Micro Thumpinator? Considering adding one of these to my live setup
4. Colour me interested if you are moving on your Pino

6. Hi All For sale here is a Fender USA Bass Bridge, bought a couple of years ago as a replacement and never installed. Proper weighty, solid bridge in brand new condition and comes with installation screws. Will fit any Fender/Squier bass with standard dimensions. £25 posted to you! Thanks Danny
7. Hi All Fairly self explanatory - genuine Fender tugbar as seen on most 60s basses. Comes with screws. £3 posted to you good sir! Thanks Danny
8. Hi All For sale here is a Fender Bass Neckplate and Screws. Opened but never installed. £7.50 posted to your good self! Thanks Danny
9. Hi All For sale here is a bridge taken from a 1962 replica Jazz Bass, built by John at Bravewood Guitars in England. A lot of you will be familiar with the Bravewood name - high quality, period-correct bridge with slotted saddles and flat head screw adjustments. Comes with installation screws. Will fit any Fender style Jazz or P Bass with standard measurements. Some minor pitting but in great working order. Would make a great addition to a 60s style bass, slotted saddle bridges are not found often nowadays. How does £20 posted sound? Cheers Danny
10. Hi All Selling brand new unused Neutrik XLR connectors - both male and female. I have a surplus of these so selling in packs of 10 (Male, Female or a mix of both) Proper heavy duty silver variants (product codes are NC3MXX and NC3FXX). These as you know are industry standard, tour grade connectors. Bought from Studiospares a couple of years ago for a project that never materialised, have receipt to prove genuine etc. So - pack of 10 posted to you for £20 all in? How does that sound? Cheers! Danny
11. Hi all For sale here is a set of tuning keys in brand new condition, taken from a Squier Classic Vibe Jazz Bass neck. Great solid keys that hold their tuning perfectly, I believe Chinese made. They come with ferrules and all screws. Would make a great addition to any bitsa, project bass or as a replacement for flimsy tuners on a budget bass. Will throw in a string tree and screw too if you like. How does £25 posted sound to you? Cheers! Danny
12. A true gentleman who I would have no hesitation doing business with again - Thanks Ralph!
13. You're with the wrong people. Don't compromise on quality, eventually you will be surrounded by the right musicians.
14. Hi All! For sale here is an Aguilar DB410 (4 ohm) cabinet in absolute mint, 10/10 condition. Basically brand new, less than a year old, kept in a wheeled flightcase since day 1 (can supply flightcase if buyer interested). Been used for a handful of gigs and hasn't been driven hard, as I primarily use in-ears. The tone is phenomenal! One of the best, loudest 4x10s out there with a max SPL of 130db. Sounds sensational with a valve amp. Can be supplied in original box with original purchase receipt if buyer prefers. Price is £850 (these are around £1,300 RRP presently). No trades thanks. Price includes insured courier service to anywhere in the UK - cabinet is in Northern Ireland, should any interested parties wish to give her a whirl! Happy Bidding! 16. I'd love to own a Rick! Such a distinctive look and sound. I will own one some day!
17. The bass fill at 4:16 in It Gets Funkier is my favourite thing ever - just wow. Can't wait to see them in Dublin this September. I'm expecting that 75% of the audience will be bass players!
18. Talking Heads 'Once in a Lifetime' - two notes the whole song despite a key change.
19. Fees in Northern Ireland for a 5 piece live band with lights, PA and DJ included range from £1,200 to £1,500, for what is essentially a full night's entertainment from after dinner to closing time.
20. If you have never been to Ireland before, Dublin is a must. Plenty to do if you have a day to spare, plus very accessible by air from anywhere in the UK. The usual tourist stuff is pretty good actually - Guinness Brewery, Kilmainham Gaol, Glasnevin Cemetery, plenty of nice museums and of course the Temple Bar area which is the hub of music, nightlife and 'craic' in the city. If you plan to spend a little longer than one day, I would recommend an open-top bus sightseeing tour on the first day (weather permitting) and thereafter making a note of your favourite sights to visit later/the next day.
