  1. I think packing away your own equipment should take priority for all members - helps clear the stage area which in turn speeds up packing away of PA etc. After that, it's all hands to the pump to do whatever is needed.
  2. Anyone had any electronics repairs made to a JC bass? Tone control doesn't seem to be working for me. Would prefer to give to a tech with experience of the hollowbody electrics, if anyone had a recommendation.

    Peak Wal?

They are a very dated bass. I get that people have memories of 80s bands playing Wals but to younger generations they are entirely antiquated. See also - Status
  4. Jerry Harvey Audio files for bankruptcy protection: https://www.lsionline.com/jerry-hall-audio-files-for-chapter-11 Not sure exactly what this means but surely can't be good. Anyone want to buy a set of Roxannes that are moulded to the shape of my ear?
  5. Incredible. I'm feeling inspired now! Thanks for sharing.
  6. Fascinating. Schecter valued at 6k sold for 415k!
  7. As much as I am inclined to agree with you, EBMM don't really have much to do with the manufacturing of this bass bar licensing the design.
  8. The absolute state of EBMM's recent pickup alignment
  9. It's basically the September bassline innit?
  10. This whole debacle is very disappointing. A shim is really just to supplement a poor manufactured instrument. I'd have expected better from Fender's flagship line to be honest. I hope you find a solution
  11. I'm always surprised how EBMM get the pickup to string alignment so consistently wrong. Another G string lost in the mix
  12. We talk about influences regularly in our band. I often get asked too when I'm depping etc. It's always the same list so I just rhyme it off!
  13. Yeah this is what we do in my rock band. Allen and Heath desks have specific monitor-only apps (Qu You, SQ You) which allow each member to access only their mix. Very intuitive and saves a lot of faff.
  14. It depends on the calibre of musicians but I would say 3 or 4 per rehearsal is plenty.
  15. Mr Brightside is a bona fide classic now but when a band plays Bruno Mars, Lady Gaga or Shut Up and Dance I find these artists/tracks have not aged as well and you can see it in the crowd's reaction. A bit dated.
  16. I quite like the Rotosound RB45 as a budget nickel roundwound. They feel good, nice tension and very reasonable at around £18 a set.
  17. I store mine so that the cables are at the top when the case is being carried. Just doesn't make sense to me to have a full pedalboard weighing down on top of the jacks - surely would increase risk of failure.

  20. Depending on the band dynamic - this could either be perfectly innocent or something to worry about. The fact you are posting about it on BC makes me think it's the latter for you - and therein lies my advice I suppose.
  21. I'm certain they do as I bought it all as a complete kit - however I will double check this evening and get back to you. Regards Danny
  22. Possible cures: - Fitting with a Kiogon loom (if allergic to passive - try a John East pre) - Try 'wearing' TI flats - High quality bitsa - Needs to be sub-8lbs
  23. Stuart is a gentleman and very easy to deal with - thanks!
