3.
Here's my contribution to this thread !! Mine's a Sei Offset Flamboyant 7 string www.seibass.com otherwise known as 'Jezebel'. I'd wanted a Sei for about 12 years before I was in a position to place the order. I'd met Martin Petersen at one of the music shows and, even though I'm just a regular Joe, he spent time to go over the designs and construction of his Sei basses. From that time, I've never played a bass that felt as good, or that was as well built as a Sei. Come 2006 and I placed the order, a year later the bass was ready for collection. The thru-neck is flamed maple & wenge and is topped with a birds-eye maple 'board with my signature laser-etched into a mother-of pearl block at the 12th fret. The core of the body is walnut, with a veneer of bolivar which has been dyed claret (which actually looks pinkish) separating it from the full facings of lacewood. Pink is my fiancee's favourite colour so it was great to incorporate that into the instrument. Electronics are passive and are just 1 custom Kent Armstrong humbucker, to 1 volume control. I have basses with active circuits, but I always leave the EQ flat anyway, so I didn't see the point in having any onboard tone shaping!! The bass has an XLR out in addition to the regular 1/4" as well as coil-tap button on the lower edge. Pull the volume pot and the purple LED's on the side of the neck light up. It's just one heckuva bass !! The close-up pics are courtesy of London-based Graphic Artist, Gareth Jones.
If that was headless it would be PERFECT,never have liked that headstock, stunning bass though mate
  4. I've worked in a Guitar shop, and would never have dreamed of saying that to a customer, afterall, repeat business puts food on the Table You should have responded that "You should get a Job you actually like, but don't make it comedy" I wish I could afford/had the space for 57 basses,I know someone that has over 100 USA Handmade Neckthru B.C.Riches,he doesn't know exactly what he has or indeed where he's stashed them all LOL I also kinda know a guy in Scotland that has over 170 instruments including 30 Gibson Thunderbird basses Keep on collecting mate, and shop elsewhere
Oh my oh my, Just woke up this morning to find an email from the seller telling me I have not read his terms and conditions and has now sent me the full amount back into my Paypal account and due to the weak pound against the dollar I have ended up making £40. 7.
When it was new two and a half years ago, my car definitely had the edge. Now it has 130,000 miles on it I think the basses have the edge! Rich.
WHAT!!!!!!!! Do you ever sleep,or do you do that whilst driving? 8.
Just a quick update, checked the tracking code again and this came up: "The U.S. Postal Service was electronically notified by the shipper on October 4, 2008 to expect your package for mailing. This does not indicate receipt by the USPS or the actual mailing date. Delivery status information will be provided if / when available. Information, if available, is updated every evening. Please check again later." Tried a couple more emails to seller and no response as yet. I can't help but feel a little concerend still.
I would be VERY concerned, especially with your post "Tracking complete",it should not be complete at all!! Here's the way my tracking went on a bass recently Accepted New Jersey 13th september In New Jersey central sorting office 18th September (Bas***s,it was 17 miles away!) Left USA 21st Sept In foreign (U.K.) Customs 22nd Sept At Parcelforce 23rd September Letter through the door, stating holding bass until duty paid 23rd September, went and got it And that was sent to me with SUPER cheap shipping from the USA $134 via USPS Like I said,I would be extremely worried by now, sorry
  9. Another +1 for Interparcel next day delivery and NO damgage (Via TNT) on a thru neck handbuilt bass -1 for TNT forgetting to pick the damn thing up on a friday, meaning next available time for the seller was the following Tuesday
  10. You probably won't believe this, given the sharpness of my basses but Billy Sheehan missed the list,as he's just got so repetative,so Bernard Edwards (R.I.P.),and a B.C.Rich player to boot-good man Pino Palidino John Myung and bringing up the reserves,my good friend Bob Daisley

  12.
I would really love to borrow this bass for tomorrow night's gig and play Mustang sally with it
Funny,I used to play in a Jazz band with the 1979 B.C.Rich Bich 8 string bass in the front of this picture and the 1979 Bich 8 string bass in the back on the left I still own the 2 Biches at the back and the Phil Lynott Mockingbird

  18.
Hi Lorne, lovely looking bass and a good job the numpties at ups didn't smash it. Are we still friends?
Sure we are-Are you the guy who wanted lefty BCRS???
  19. I got this handmade 1987 USA B.C.Rich neck Thru ST bass for an absolute steal from my friend in New Jersey,he bought a Road Runner polyfoam case for it and shipped it via USPS Unfortunately they decided to drop the bass on it's headstock, but the polyfoam case allowed the bass to shift forward and puch it's way through the foam, slowing it down enough to not damage the bass at all,If it had been in a Proper hard case, the headstock would have snapped off Anyway, here's my new old bass and the damage the headstock and one of the tuners did to the case

    RIP Leftysteve

Steve and I didn't see eye to eye recently, but I bear him no ill wind, never did Rest easy Steve
  21. - 1 million for USPS took 11 days to deliver a bass from the USA,even though it had a 6 to 10 day delivery time, and NO it wasn't the stuck in customs excuse-it took them 5 days to move it from Clifton New Jesey to Jersey city,a distance of 17 miles!!!! Also,I would like to thank them for dropping a through neck bass on it's headstock For having a sh*t tracking system, for having an even worse email notification system, sign up for email notifications and don't get any and - 10 for Parcelfarce, who have changed the rules concerning paying Import duty,no longer will they collect cash on the doorstep, they will hold your item, you pay by credit or debit card and they deliver it the NEXT day, like you haven't waited long enough You do have the option to drive to their depot and pay cash
  22. Water pump? Email me bro
  23. Bro,you're killing your market with the "No shipping" thing, best of luck mate
  24. Too true,I was the very first owner of this bass, and I obtained the proof, directly from B.C.Rich,that this bass was indeed the very bass they used at the Winter (January) 2004 NAMM show,a very very very nice bass,I only released it to obtain another customshop B.C.Rich bass
