  1. Its the one that looks like a bent bit of tin and I was just thinking of having a change To be honest the bass is awesome so I should probably just forget about it and get a d-tuner instead
  2. On my shuker I cuttently have a gotoh bridge fitted. I've been concidering buying a badass upgrade. Would it be worth it?
  3. I have 21 frets and I tend to slap at the end of the fretboard I'll try out what you suggested and I'll let you know how I get on Thanks Rich
  4. I seem to be having trouble getting a clear slap tone when I'm playing on the D and G strings up around the 12 fret area? Marcus Miller can do it so why can't I? (He is a little bit better than me mind you) What am I doing wrong guys? Help me please it's driving me nuts
  5. I managed to find "the improvisers bass method" as a free download!
  6. I guess what im specifically looking for is a book to help with fretboard navigation and theory. Are any of these books suited to my needs
  7. My bass teacher is due to give birth to a baby boy in the summer and will be out from teaching for around 13 weeks! 13 weeks is a long time out from learning so I thought I could get myself a good book and work my way through it until my lessons start back. I'm currently studying for my grade 5 so I don't really want a beginner's book I've been thinking about getting "Gary Willis Fingerboard harmony" but I'm not sure if it's the right book for me What do you guys think?
  8. Maybe I should have said combo not amp
  9. I'm sure this question has been asked a thousand times before but please indulge me I'm currently in the process of selling my Ibanez sr500 and roland cube 30 bass combo for £280 As the roland is the only one I have I'm going to be in need of another but the choice is overwhelming I play all sorts of music but my favourite has to be funk Has anyone got any suggestions as to what combo i should be looking at?

  18. Well I've finally bought my daughter a bass. Its a nice little 3/4 pink P type bass with amp etc. She's having it for her birthday tomorrow (can't wait to see her face ) She want's me to teach her but where do I start? She's only 9 so I was thinking maybe something simple like Primus? But seriously, should I start with scales, nursery rhymes, learning the fretboard? Any advice would be greatly appreciated Thanks Dale
