1. Shuker 3 - 1 Fender What would play better?
2. My £700 budget has had a recent upgrade to £900ish. Great news. So after much thought I've narrowed my choices down too two and here they are in no perticular order Fender american jazz black on black with maple neck and Shuker j classic both are around the same price but which would you go for?
3. Thanks for all the advice guys. By the way its become a little more confusing as my price range has gone up too 900
4.
As a shop price that sounds pretty good and there is more and more love growing for the 90's Rays. Try and get a new strap/strings etc whatever you can get to sweeten the deal.
Good thinking Thanks budd
5.
It sounds ok to me if its totaly mint, If its not as good as what I would call mint (As good as when it left california) then knock a drink off it or include the postage whatever is agreeable, Maybe £750-775?
Its from a local shop so hopefully I can knock him down or maybe trade in my Ibanez sr500
6. Hi all I've just seen a EBMM stingray 1997 for sale with original case both in mint condition going for £800. Is this a fair price?
7.
I'm another that would urge you to seriously look at 2nd hand basses. Some people keep their instruments immaculate so if you're lucky enough it can be like buying a new bass and saving a fair few bob in the process! On that note, an example: http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=111569
I see what you mean. That P bass looks awesome. I've just seen a 2nd hand shuker in the for sale section for £775. Very nice indeed
8. Well I've thought about 2nd hand and even though you get more bang for your buck there's (quoting Trent Resnar) "nothing quite like the feel of something new". So far I've narrowed it down to a few: Fender aerodyne jazz Fender highway one jazz Ibanez btb 700dx Ibanez btb 670 Ibanez srt 900dx Has anyone played any of these
9. Does anyone know of a bass shop in the south Wales area with a good selection guitars for me to try out. Cranes is ok but I'm looking for a bigger stock of instruments
10. Thanks doc
11. I've just seen a mint condition SR1000E 1991 for sale at £350. Is this a fair evaluation of the bass and are they any good? Thanks in advance
12. Thanks for all the replies guys. I was concidering changing my sr500 but after such glowing reports I think I'll hang on to it
13.
Oh aye......that is glorious. You're right about the sunset/sea thing too. Love it. Can't wait for mine!
Absolutely divine mate. Whats the price tag look like
14. I never thought I would but I find myself really taking a fancy to the fender jazz bass. It's a good looking thing. The thing I'm wondering is what exactly is the difference is spec and build quality between the 3 different places of manufacture and does the price increase really justify itself? I like the look of the "highway 3" any views on this bass or the mim deluxe jazz ? thanks in advance
15. I've seen an sr1000 1990 model for sale at £400 in mint condition. Looks very nice. Not sure if its worth the money though.......
16. MY AWESOME wife has just agreed that is a good idea for me to get a,new bass. I've a 700 budget. I really fancy an ibanez srt900dx. beautiful thing. Is there anything else I should be considering at this kind of price? thanks in advance
17. I've been looking on the net and after a while I've come up with a not too pricey (dont think the wife would agree mind) wishlist 1, ibanez srt900dx 2, yamaha trb1004 3, fender aerodyne its nice to dream
18. Hello peeps. I'm not a very experienced player and I'm looking for some new strings. The problem I have is the sheer volume of choice is quite overwhelming. Make, model, gauge, material = a lot of choice. Any advive on what I should put on my ibanez sr500?
19. Well I was toying with the idea of a new bass but after all the awesome comments about these guitars I think I'll stick with what I've got. Thanks guys What strings do you use?
20.
I have an Ibanez SR765 and am in the somewhat long winded process of exchanging a BTB470 for a BTB555... I've had Fender J's ("proper MIA ones") and Rickenbacker 4001's.. Prefer the SR to all of the them.... Wide range of tones, great neck. built really well (my SR is one of the last MIJ ones) - what's not to like except the the badge..? Mark
what do you mean by MIA Mark
21.
Love my Prestige SR1000, very well made, great sound, lightweight, slim neck, and I paid less than the price of a new SR500 for it. It doesn't sound aggressive without extreme EQ (but I go back to my Jazz Deluxe if I want that!), but has a great range of tones. Very happy with it, and will never sell it, because it would cost a lot more to get something of the same quality.
beautiful bass bud
22. I've owned 3 bass guitars in total 1, squire p bass special 2,court something or other (sorry can't remember the name) and right now I'm the proud owner of an sr500 which I love dearly. From my experience I don't think I would ever buy from another manufacturer. I would like an srt900dx or a prestige model but cannot afford or justify the expense at the moment. What do you play and What's your opinion on the ibanez range?
23. Thanks for the advice guys
24. I've just started to learn about key signatures aand I'm looking for some advice on how to go about it? How do you remember the sequcence of them? Some advice on increasing my speed and accuracy would be greatly appreciated Thanks in advance
25.
What board are you studying for your Grade 4? Because I know that Rockschool has their own pieces to do,and I'm pretty sure that RGT don't have a section to play songs of your choice. I may have misunderstood what you want them for,so if I have could you clarify what it's for.
rockschool grade 4. my teacher gave me the option of picking my own piece if I want to
