I've decided it's time to thin down my collection and first up is my Fernandes APB-4, which is great bass but don't really need 2 of them. The bass in question has an Ash body, maple 3-piece neck and maple board. Weight is around 9lbs. It is active with an artec 3 band eq (volume, blend, bass, mid, treble) with gotoh tuners and bridge. The neck is one of the nicest I've played, very slender. Believe the bass was made in the early 90's. Overall the bass is in really good condition with no issues. Some minor dings near the input jack. I've attached a couple of links to reviews of these basses to give you a bit more info on the bass. I first bought one of these basses back in the mid-90's and it was the 1st proper bass I ever bought. I bought this one a couple of years ago as a spare, but reality is it never gets used, and wouldn't part with my original for sentimental reasons. Pricewise I'm looking for £200 plus postage. Any questions let me know http://www.bgra.net/...d=270&type=bass http://www.jeffnet.o...nandesapb5.html (ok it's a review of the 5 string version, but most of the info is still relevant)

Towergate Entertainment do a policy specifically for entertainers/musicians which works out quite well. I've recently sorted out a policy with them in the joint names of all the band members which gives us public liability cover too. The good thing is you don't need to specify items so we have cover for upto £25k for anywhere in the UK. Collectively we probably have about £40k worth of gear (if we had to replace it all new), but worst case scenario is if the van/trailer got written off in transit then that would cover us. Previously I had a policy with Musicguard for £6000, but this didn't include all my items, as you have to specify everything with them and I never know on a week to week basis what gear I'll be using at gigs; that's GAS for you.

Just done a deal with Chris, and very happy with the deal. Item very accurately described and very pleasant guy to deal with and great communication. Would have no hesitation in dealing with Chris again, although hopefully my GAS is in check now!! Rob

Looking to possibly trade my Euro LX5 for another 4 or 5 string bass. Not really sure what I'm after so let us know what you've got for trade. Possibly would be interested in a fretless, Bongo or a Shuker with cash adjustment for the right bass. The bass is in good condition but has a slight ding on the headstock and a couple of scratches in the lacquer on rear of body near input jack. If you'd like to know anything about the bass feel free to ask. For sale price is £750

Bought Martin's Stingray 5 this week and very nice guy to deal with. Completely happy with purchase and bass was actually in better condition than I'd expected.
