1. She's lovely. If I didn't already have my pennies ear-marked for another bass I'd have a pop at this, even though I'm not really in the market for a fretless.
 2. Gorgeous through neck fretless > link
 3.
Ah, you mean like our crazy german friend? He seems to be guilty of both aforementioned Ebay crimes!
I like the German dudes auction style. It saves time when I stumble into them by accident, as soon a the fluorescent green starts loading I hit back page.
 4.
Btw i can actually get a SUB for less than that, my housemate is selling a SUB 4 if anyone knows a potential buyer?
Put it in "basses for sale" and see if anyone wants to swap a ray for it.
 5. How much is the case worth plus throw in a bit of bid wars... it shouldn't have gone much past £400. I don't think that a precedent has been set here, just a fool and his money have been separated.
 6.
One went for £465 plus £16p+p last week.....
I was under the impression that the perceived (pre credit crunch) re-sale value of a SUB was ~£350. Some nice Rays have been seen to go sub 500 lately. It just don't add up.
 7. Paul's a top bloke to deal with. Paid asap for some black bass bits n bobs and stayed in touch throughout. Cheers man. Rich.
 8.
Aria stb series jazz copy http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ARIA-STB-series-Bass...id=p3286.c0.m14
Good find. Someone in Staffordshire should go round and pick this up in person and save paying 50% of the BIN price on postage.
 9.
Aria anyone? The Aria neck actually suits it better but it's a bit like putting a sequin on a rats arse IMHO.

 11.
Awesome quote but aimed at me?
Sorry bud I thought you were having a pop at the thread title (pups) it wasn't til after I'd clicked "add reply" that I thought you might actually have meant something else and I forgot to check... I've had a beer.
 12. Yeah, it's not awful but they do say "Great for any beginner or intermediate players" which in my book translates as "it's a pig to set up right".
 13. Woah it's gone again!
 14.
"Pickups: 1 standard mm2"
I knew this would come up. It was a sp error ok. But (as Moss would say) prepare to put mustard on those words, for you will soon be consuming them along with this slice of humble pie, that comes direct from the oven of shame set at gas mark egg on your face. Strictly speaking, you open it up and I think you'll find there's 2 pups my friend.
 15. I bought a P neck off Eude. He then proceeded to coerce me into buying further bass bits from him. I was no match for his sales technique and folded under pressure. Great guy to deal with. Cheers man.
 16. Bump and huge price drop on the Reflex Reds - someone must want them.
 17. Not if you don't have one of these, a genuine Leo Fender cancelled cheque -> link

 19. I thought this thread might get some danders up.

 23. Now sold pending the usuals.
 24.
I came home late at night just in time to catch the very last song of David Gilmour... I went to bed after hearing one of the best guitar solo's I have ever heard in my life.. I think the song was called Mr. Blue and the sound, the phrasing and the intensity were mind-boggling...What a fantastic musician he is and he only gets better and better.
That's what I was trying to say before but I don't think we're allowed to enthuse over guitars here and it got royally lugged. He got phrases of that solo to sound like seagulls, which is I think is part of the theme. Effing brilliant! I spent years learning his solos (can still muster a pretty mean Shine On You Crazy Diamond parts I–IX) before forsaking 6 strings for 4 and he remains my hero to this day. Pity about all the soloing gurning he's started to do the older he gets.
