    PM'd, I bought a Boss tu3 tuner last week, so if you'll sell without the tuner with a reasonable price adjustment I'll take the rest off your hands. I've got to come from Birmingham to pay and collect so that's nearly a tank of fuel I shall have to factor in to the price, lol. P.S .... If you don't want to delete the tuner I'm still interested, PM me.

    I agree about the panasonic, I've got the z7 and it takes a decent sd vid on 640x480 although it doesn't zoom in video mode. The q3 that I dissed a couple of days ago was a brand new black one with firmware lowlight upgrade and I bought it and returned it only last week. The audio is okay but it is really messy visually. I've now just picked up a canon hf m31 cam which I got for a steal (Currys £849 ebay £374!). It's only got a single 1/4in cmos processor so it wont be brilliant in really low light, but it does have an external mic socket so I can use a good mic or plug a lead into the sound desk. We've got an Academy gig coming up soon and an old school mate who is now an independent film maker is going to film for us and I will be interested to see the difference in quality. Also a local college student on a photographic course asked us this week if she can do a project based on the band, so that may be interesting.

    The Roadhouse in Stirchley, South Birmingham has an open mic session on a monday night. There are two or three slots for jamming with other musicians (watch out for the old guy with a sax) and if you want to do your own thing you usually get a three song slot. A girl called Sally organises it and she's hot! You sign in around eight o'clock and it starts around 9pm. My favourite open mic venue is the Tardebigge just outside Redditch but sadly this sunday or tuesday may well be their last jam session as management are ripping out a great stage set up to replace it with more "two for one" meal covers. We've used regular extended slots recently to tighten up some new material that we've written, and we've promised Rich who's done a top job of organising it that we will play on sunday or tuesday (whichever is the last) so that we can give the Bigge venue a big send off! It's sad when commerce wrecks good music.

The video in low light is truly awful (flashing lights bu*ger it up all together!) and it wont give you anything worthwhile to edit. The audio is a disappointment as well in a gig situation as it seems to have been designed to stand close (a couple of feet) to one instrument rather than to record several disparate sounds. Stand it on a piano during recital and it will record pristine audio, but as a band tool I found it about half as good as my old mobile phone!

We were considering 2.5m x 1.5m in fabric for ease of transport. Thanks for the names of suppliers guys, and the suggestion about local signwriters.

    We're a new originals band and we've got a gig in november at the Academy 2 in Birmingham. There are 5 bands playing and as we're headlining I've been told to bring our bands banner. We don't have one. :blush: Advice on the optimum size of banner for this size of gig and other medium venues would be appreciated, and also the name of a quality banner supplier would be a great help. Thank's in anticipation, tbkicks.

    As a newbie I just want to say that Clarky is a gentleman. I PM'd him this afternoon and offered him his price plus £50 (ie £800) if I could rush down from Brum and pick up his ad200 as I have a packed day tomorrow and am gigging tomorrow night. He pointed out to me that he had another PM just before mine asking him to put it on hold at £750 until tomorrow midday, and even though I pointed out to him that his other PM may well have something to do with the sixteen bidders who are chasing an ad200 & 410cab on ebay (which coincidentally finishes an hour or so before midday tomorrow) he affirmed that he was a man of his word and would wait for the guy tomorrow. Clarky you've cost me a fortune mate with your honourable ways I've just bought a brand new orange ad200 amp in black and an obc410 cab in black . Finally if anyone's thinking of selling a good obc115 cab could they please pm me as buying new is a bit painful. PS: all the best with your sale tomorrow and your quest for a lighter amp.
