  1. Might need a tiny bit of cash on top! Just added a video demo for those that asked for one. Cheers
  2. Sadowsky Japanese Metroline RV5-PJ Alder Body Morado Board 1 7/8” Nut Width Hum cancelling P and J pickups 19mm string spacing Sadowsky Preamp with VTC Around 9lbs/4.2kg Built in 2018 Sadowsky Portabag included. The inlays are the amazing Jockomo stick on ones which remove without leaving a mark if you prefer. Same with the rubber finger ramp below the P pickup. New photos added below. There is the tiniest bit of buckle rash but it wouldn’t show up in pictures. It’s in really great condition but wanted to show every imperfection I could. I’ve owned it since new and it hasn’t been gigged a huge amount. Would much prefer pickup from Chessington, Surrey or Central London but would consider posting. Any questions give me a shout. Thanks Dan
  3. Hi all - thanks for all the messages - didn’t expect it to be this popular this quick! I’ve done some quick pictures below - I’ll give it a proper clean up and restring before the buyer gets it. Any marks that appear in the pics are either just the lighting or finger prints. The only actual imperfection is a small scratch on the back top horn (pictured). Couple of other things - it currently has an 18mm bridge on as it’s my personal preference but I will swap it back to the original for when I sell it. Also, the small thumb ramp is just a stuck on rubber foot, it comes off without leaving a mark so will sort that too. Thanks for all the interest, I’m willing to reserve it for anyone who wants to put down a small deposit. As I said, it’s needed for a couple of shows but should be good to go around the end of next week as I have something arriving. Let me know if you have any questions. Cheers Dan
  4. SOLD!! Reposting as my old topic got locked for some reason, please let me know if I did something wrong! For sale at a final price drop before withdrawel is my Musicman USA Sub Sterling. Made in the USA in 2005, not a cheaper 'Sterling by' model These were made along USA Stingrays and are pretty rare, particularly in the UK. Upgraded to Aguilar Preamp with push/pull for passive mode and switchable mid EQ. Sonic Blue Nitro Finish Neck stripped and finished with gunstock oil Weights in at just 8.8lbs It has the original alnico pickup but the cover has been swapped to cream. I have the original knobs/pickguard/pickup cover and electronics, although I wouldnt want to guarantee the preamp still works since it has been removed for a while. I will include a Musicman Hardcase is posting but pickup from central London or Surrey is preferred. Demo below showing various settings, any questions give me a shout. If this doesn't sell in the next week or two I will be selling elsewhere so let me know asap! Thanks Dan
  5. Hi Alec - one little video at the link below but will try to do another one at some point soon. Thanks Dan https://www.instagram.com/p/CZe2vVFg3h-/
  6. *Withdrawn for now* Putting up for sale my Japanese made Metro MV5. It's a great bass, only selling to fund another Sadowsky purchase. It's in pretty much as new condition and I have an extra off white/mint green pickguard for it. 4kg/9lbs, balances very nicely. Has the preamp with VTC and sounds mega. The 'inlays' are the jockomo stick-on ones (look them up if you don't know them, they are amazing) but they can be removed without leaving a mark if you prefer. More pics to come but gauging interest for now. I wont be able to sell for a week or two until the new one arrives as it's needed for some shows. UK postage possible but pickup from central London or Chessington, Surrey preferred. Any questions, give me a shout. Thanks Dan
  7. Few messages but no sale yet, feel free to make me an offer. Would also potentially consider a mustang trade (not the PJ one) Cheers
  8. Price drop to £750 picked up in Surrey/London or £800 delivered in the UK
  9. I had the same issue with these strings for a set I bought around a year ago but barely used. Ernie Ball weren't interested and suggested I 'wipe down the strings' and buy another product of theirs - I've never had it with any other set, even after several years...
  10. MEY Guitar and Double/Upright bass stool. Now discontinued but comparable in quality to K&M. This cost me £120 about 10 years ago and only selling due to a clear out. It folds flat for easy storage transportation and is a comfortable 1 arm carry. Removable back rest and also fully adjustable from very high to very low. Also has a fold out foot rest. Full disclosure - there is a small 2-3cm rip in the leather that is covered by gaffa tape, doesn’t effect function at all. There is also one screw missing at the back of the back rest but but again doesn’t effect anything. Pickup from Chessington KT9/South West London or I may be able to deliver for fuel costs. Any questions let me know Thanks Dan
  11. PRICE DROP TO £695 picked up or £750 delivered in the UK Tentatively posting what I believe to be a very rare Musicman USA Sub Sterling. This is not the cheaper Sterling by Musicman model - it was made in the Musicman USA factory. This bass was a little lockdown project of mine. It’s refinished in Sonic Blue Nitro and the neck has been stripped and finished with gunstock oil and is very skinny, smooth and fast. The preamp has been upgraded to Aguilar 3 Band with Switchable Mid and push/pull for passive mode by The Gallery. I’ve also swapped the pickup cover and knobs to white/cream although the originals of both are available. A rosewood fender thumb test has been added and the pickguard swapped to tortoiseshell, I have the original of this too. It’s very lightweight for a Musicman (4kg/8.8lbs) and is a genuinely great bass. I’ve had both flats and rounds on it and it’s great with both. Currently strung with rounds. I would consider posting but would much rather meet up in person. I’m based in a Chessington, Surrey/SW London but willing to travel to meet someone. Give me a shout with any questions. Thanks Dan
  12. Hi there You certainly could get away with what you suggest, the strings would be fairly low tension but a lot of people, myself included, like that. You could also just buy a low B string and shift all the others up one. So you definitely wouldn’t need a whole set. I can have a look at what strings I have lying around in case I have one that I could throw in if that helps too! Cheers Dan
  13. No problem at all, I probably should have done one in the first place! Still open to reasonable offers if it helps…
  14. Hi all Excuse the Sunday outfit/hair but here's a quick demo showing the bass pizz and arco. The bass is plugged directly into a Markbass LMK set flat. Audio recorded by a condenser mic in the room so should be a very good representation of how it would sound live. In my opinion, if you shut your eyes you'd be hard pushed to notice the difference between this and a 'real' double bass with a realist pickup. Hope this helps! Thanks Dan

TC Electronic Polytune - SOLD Korg Pitchblack Poly Pedal Tuner - £40 posted TC Electronic Sub N Up Mini - SOLD Boss AC-2 Acoustic Simulator - £40 posted Mooer Thunderball Overdrive/Fuzz - SOLD True Bypass Single Looper Pedal - SOLD MXR Vintage Bass Octave - SOLD Thanks Dan
  16. Hello! The reason I bought this was was because of how similar to an upright it feels. It is the closest sounding EUB to an upright that I’ve personally ever played. I also considered the NS designs ones but found that they basically sound like a fretless and the action is so low in them that you can’t play them like the real thing either. The Oakwood has a ‘proper’ double bass scale length of just over 41” (I think a lot of the NS ones are shorter) and also has a hollow body so does resonate on its own like a double bass, although a lot quieter. Yes it can be plugged in direct - I tend to use a preamp to shape the sound a bit but you could do the same with the EQ on your amp. I can do you a quick video later today to show you the sounds if you like? Let me know if you’d like to come round and give it a try. Thanks Dan
  17. Bumps and also to answer a couple of questions: - This is proper double bass scale length, not the shorter scale like NS design etc - it’s also set up to feel like a ‘proper’ double bass, you can dig in properly and play with a bow etc. Thanks Dan
  18. Hi all I bought this lovely EUB from The Gallery just before lockdown for a show that never happened and feel it should be enjoyed by someone who will play it more than I do now. It is an old Oakwood which as far as I know was build in the UK in the 80s and has a 'laminated figured sycamore and bubinga body'. The built-in pickup has a very similar sound to a Realist. It's in great condition for its age, there are a few chips around the 'shoulder' which you can see in one of the pictures and a few small age-related dings elsewhere but nothing major. Some useful dots on the side of the neck too! Currently strung E-C but have also had it set up B-G with no issues. You're welcome to come for a coffee and to give it a try in Chessington, Surrey (South-West London). I'm also more than happy to pick you up from Surbiton station (20 mins from Waterloo) and drop you back afterwards if you're serious about it. Very good quality soft case included, the 'shoulder' is removable for easy transportation. Bow and quiver not included, but happy to sell with the quiver if you'd like it. SOLD The closest I can find currently for sale is this four string one one here https://edinburghmusiccentre.co.uk/guitar/vh98ju6dav7y9eb305m73cm2ism3eo for double the price! Any questions, give me a shout. Thanks Dan
  19. Need to make space so make me an offer on this!
  20. now £79 Up for sale is my mono Bass Sleeve. Only reason I'm selling is that I got a Mono Tick for Christmas so would like a case that has the rings for it to fit. Really good used condition, no issues. Trade with cash your way for an M80 or Vertigo! Also would trade for Way Huge Pork and Pickle pedal. Thanks Dan
  21. Lovely bass and a great guy to deal with, GLWTS!
