1.
Under 16kg... Not bad at all! With a healthy output into those cabs I can't see that lacking in any department. I realise you've not had the rig long but would you gig one cab for small venues or will it always be the pair?
I used a single UL310 for the whole of 2005 (80 gigs) and it was fine on its own and so I'll probably use just one cab. I just always fancied two of them and because of they are 5.3-ohms this is the only practical way to do it. 6string bassist wanted to get rid of a UL310 and the UL902 and so we struck a deal which included my UL502. For the local jams I'll use the Ashdown LG1000 and the two 1x12s as the stage is very, very small.
 2.
That does look tidy and as you say a reasonable weight, very nice. Just out of interest what is the combined weight of the 902, tuner and case?
15.6Kg. Even I can carry it one-handed. As well as the case, UL902 and tuner, that figure includes a 1U 13A power strip along the back and the speaker cables inside
 3. After a fair amount of selling and saving I've finally cracked it. Lightweight and wicked.
Hi Louis left us in January, it became difficult for him with all the travelling from Reading - he works in Chessington but had to go back each evening to give the Mrs a lift. I still Jam a little at Woking (the ex-Worplesden crowd) and Molesey. Good to hear from you althopugh im not sure who OBBM is! Kevin
Have a look here and see if you remember. pm sent.

 7. Just got back home having done some Epi trading with Kevin in a Kenilworth Car Park. Bought his UL310 to pair with my recently acquired UL310 and traded my UL510 for his UL902C. Can't wait to set up the new rig of doom and try it. Amp and cab in top condition and he's a great bloke to deal with. Thanks Kev.
 8. What happened to Louie? Not heard from him in a long while.

 10.
Thanks Seb. Super smooth and easy transaction. Really can't wait to get this bass. Played OBBM's over the weekend and it was amazing.
Good result then.

 12. You need to decide whether you want to standardise on IEC or 13-Amp as your preferred mains connector. If you go to IEC you can get a 1U unit with plenty of outlets however it means: - you have to change the connectors on all of your mains leads o buy additional ones - you can't use 13-amp wall warts without making some IEC to 13A socket adaptors and mounting them - you can't plug anything else into it unless it has an IEC plug If you go to 13A you can get 1 1U unit with /8 outlets however it means - it sits in the back of your rack and just works - you don't have any pretty lights but you have an extra 1U in the front of rack - you can plug in wall-worts - you can plug in anything that as a UK standard mains lead
 13.
Thinking about getting one for my rack. I've checked the Samson PS10 and Furman MX-8, both quite cheap. Are they any good? Any recommendations on other models or brands? Not looking to spend a fortune though. Cheers!
Why do you think you need one?
 14.
I'd also be interested in a trade for an Epifani 502, plus a bit of cash my way...anyone fancy trading their UL502 for its bigger brother ?.
Nice thought but I think I'd be pushing my luck. How much are you talking about?
 15.
These look quite good, but I'd like something half rack size.
Thanks fellers really useful input from some the more experienced contributors - very much appreciated. The focusrite looks very handy, but the comments on the BBE very helpful. When I was reading the reviews there was coment that the input gain controls was over sensitive, but I think this may have beem modified for later models. Any one else got anything to add?
There was a mod issued to reduce the input sensitivity. It involved changing a couple of resistors and removing two capacitors. Not sure if there was an equivalent one for the solid-state version.

 20. Just had a mailshot from Watford Valves. Celestion are about to up their prices significantly. Watford are doing a special offer on 32-ohm 10-inch speakers for Trace Elliot cabs
 21.
whats the going rate second hand and how far does the ad200b go back? (years wise like) almost given up to be hinest....(oi fate, nudge nudge wink wink)
When I got mine about a year ago the going rate was between £700 and £800. It took me quite a long time to find it however. Almost new, very little use, one tiny mark. You just need to be very patient.
 22. Could this be something to do with the fact that the P pick-up is split coil and the J is not, causing half of the P to be out of phase with the J. My PJ has split coils in both positions and no problems.
 23. I got my AD200B off Ebay. What do you need to know?
OBBM used one for quite a while.
Correct although it was the T version. I had mine apart, as I tend to, and the main gain and EQ stages were almost identical to the Alembic F1X, which I also had apart and drew up. The real problem with the Fender/Alembic design EQ is that you can only cut the mids. The BBE has a swept parametric which overcomes this. Also the DI out is very good and the compresoor ain't bad either. Why did I sell mine? Oh I know I kept overloading the input with the MM Bongo. That was one hot bass.
