1.
Thanks Lozz. Hope you're well and staying out of trouble I bought it from OBBM but I'm not sure where he got it from. I've just bought a new Berg cab otherwise I'd be hanging on to this one
Yes it came from Lozz. Excellent cab. Which Berg have you got Nick?
2. I'd go with another 4x8. I ran a pair of Ashdown 4x8s for several years and found it a superb rig, very loud and punchy. Having two of the same is technically better and infinitely more flexible.
3.
Think smallest stage I've played is the 12 Bar club on Denmark St....... we managed to get the drummer on.... that was it.
I'll second that .... although we got everyone except the keyboard onto the stage. The split level audience is novel as well.
4. Used mine with a Schroeder 1212L. Great sound.
5. Sean bought my GK MB200. As he lived reasonably near I dropped it over to him and we had a nice chat about this and that. A thoroughly nice guy and a pleasure to do business with.
6. A pair of new and unused Nordstrand NJ4SV pickups. These were originally bought separately. The neck pick up is the straight NJ4SV, the bridge pick up is the NJ4SV R which is exactly the same pick up just with slightly raised A and D poles to cater for radiused fingerboards. Apparently they are fine to use as a pair on either radiused or non radiused basses. They are split coil pick ups and retail at £200 for a pair as below http://www.bassdirec...nd_Pickups.html £140 posted. Cash, cheque, bank transfer or Paypal gift.
7. Nice work Silvie. Hall 14 picture is Sibob and self but not sure of the other two.
8. It was just nice to be involved in organising such a successful event, meeting old friends, making new ones, seeing some interesting kit and listening to our guests. Roll on next year.
9.
Just a quick shout to see if anyone has any wall-hangers/fixings for basses that they might want to sell?
I have a couple Nik. I'll make sure to bring them.
10.
I for one would be most interested to audition different heads through my BF Midget. Please form an orderly queue.
In that case I'll bring my GK MB200 as well as the TH500 as I'd like to hear how they sound with a Midget.
11.
We'll have something almost as small with us!
I look forward to trying it.
12.
Hey Dave, would it be too late to order a 2ft patch lead, right angle both ends for Saturday?
Can do, will do. See you there.
13.
Smaller option needed than the CN then Dave?
Something that would fit easily in the Smart.
14. Is anyone bringing a Barefaced Midget that I can try? Does anyone need any specific cables made and brought along?
15.
Based in London according to his website http://www.bassandbiscuit.com/
The why not say so. It's so much more customer friendly.
16. It would be helpful to indicate where you are located.
17. Some weeks ago a Sadowsky UV70 appeared in the For Sale section. It was just what I was looking however the seller, jack_b was in Poland, which meant there was no way I could go and look before buying. I contacted Jack and he answered all my questions about the bass. We agreed the price and then to my surprise Jack offered, as I was a long established Forum member, to ship it to me saying I could pay him after it had arrived. Everything went according to plan. The UV70 is exactly as described and it arrived promptly with no damage. I certainly have no reservations about dealing with Jack again.
18. So that's why you need the new cable.

Keyboard Amps
Did he ever get sorted? As I have one of these http://www.roland.co...ails.aspx?p=698 with a flight case that I'm just in the process of putting on her via the for sale section ..... when I figure out how to pay the £20 or whatever.
Not sure what's happening as I decided to leave the band and havebn't been in touch with him for quite a few weeks.
20. Two 8-ohm cabs in parallel gives a total IMPEDANCE of 4-ohms.
21. Thanks for the heads-up Colin. We are there in October so I'll get it checked.
22. As a temporary fix it will be fine however if you plan to do it regularly I would recommend replacing the complete combo cable with a longer one that will reach both amps.
