1. It makes no difference what the impedances of the cabs are. Putting them in series will just add them so 8 + 4 will give 12-ohms. One of the things you need to consider however is whether the two cabs are in-phase or not but that can be easily checked.
 2.
Ok, so I'm a complete dumbass when it comes to stuff like this Would it be possible to have something similar that makes 2 x 4 ohm cabs appear as a single 4 ohm load to an amp?
Sadly not Barry, but you can run the two cabs at 8-ohms and enjoy the extra air movement. Up until recently I've been running 2 Schroeder 1212Ls together as 8-ohms and never got anywhere near running out of steam.
 3. It was a pleasure Jeff. All the sockets are Speakon/Jack combos so that you can use any mix of connectors. There is another version which is a one to two splitter which allows you to run two cabs from an amp with a single outlet. Useful if the cabs have single input connectors.
 4. GK MB Fusion amp complete in original packaging with all supplied accessories, cables and manual. Also includes optional rack-mount brackets. It's been rack-mounted all its life so in good condition apart from a few scratches on the top. SOLD User manual here - http://www.polaraudi...usionManual.pdf
 5.
got mine from gak. it weighs 11 pounds.
Thanks. That is heavy.
 6.
just want to add after using the bass tonight i love it, great sound and it feels great, the bass and treble controls are the smoothest i have felt on any bass at any price give them a try and you will see what i mean. the pre amp is just awesome, tons of bass!!!! just try one they are superb!!!!
A couple of questions - where did you get yours and what does it weigh?
 7. Found Bassworld in 2002 and been here ever since.
 8.
Is there a lot of difference between the CN and AE then?
The CN is almost as light as a Schroeder 1212L and is a very easy lift for me, although I do usually use a trolley from car to venue. I can actually lift it one handed but I wouldn't want to carry it any distance like that. The AE was much heavier and was quite a struggle to get into the back of the car on my own. I used the CN on Saturday with an Orange AD200B head. It sounded good to me, and to the rest of the band too, especially with the tweeter turned off. Problem is the head now weighs far more than the cab.
 9. I took this bass in a trade so am uncertain as to the exact specification however as far as I am aware the body, neck, tuners and bridge are all original 1977. Neck pocket is a snug fit.with no overhang. Pick-ups are modern Fender Vintage. Pots are mid 80's and scratch plate is modern. It is currently strung with 55-110 DR Lo-Riders and sounds great. Comes in Fender gig bag. It has a few battle scars but nothing too bad considering the age. £800 Collect or meet-up prefered. Have sorted out my immediate needs i am now open to trade offers. The only provisos are: - No Precisions - No 6-strings, - Must be under 9.5lb in weight - Within sensible collect/deliver/meet-up range of GU10. .
 10.
This may warrant me a clip round the ear but who is OBBM ?
I am I've been a member here for well over 10 years, since the days of the original Bassworld forum.
 11. We also do it in D. I drop the E down to D with a Hipshot detuner.
 12. What about an Epifani UL502 amp into an Epi UL310 (series 1) cab?

 15. Welcome. You will find quite a few members in the SW Surrey/NE Hampshire area.
 16.
I so love that half rack you've got there too. Going have to invest in one.
It's not exactly a half rack as the GK Fusion is wider than that. I had it made to my design by Flightcase Warehouse. Some time ago I bought a Gator wireless system rack case which had four rack mount trays. I had the case made to take those and the overall case width was just wide enough for the Fusion which is mounted on spacers to the floor of the case using the original tapped holes for the feet. There's a hole in the side of the case for the fan. The half-rack units are a Boss Tu-50 tuner and a Boss graphic EQ which is in the Effects Loop.
By the way it's not Dave's fault I managed to lasso my left ankle after an excursion off stage and back on it's first outing
18. Donated some cable off-cuts to Mike and like a good BCer he popped some lolly in the BC kitty. Top man.
 19. Well I used the CN212 in anger last night. Logistically it was excellent. It was as easy to lift straight in and out of the car and a lot easier than the AE212 I once owned. I trundled it into the venue on my trolley and plonked it down on the Gramma pad. The venue was not somewhere to play around during set-up so I had to make do with some minor tweaks on the Schroeder settings. It was loud and punchy and cut through well according to a friend in the audience. It was neither the place nor was there the opportunity to fine tune things as our keyboard player didn't show and we had to re-arrange things on the fly, but we got away with it. One thing I did notice was that it accentuated the small amount of fret-buzz which was slightly disconcerting so turned the tweeter down a bit however it was not audible out front. I look forward to fine-tuning the sound over the coming weeks.
 20. Nice set of strings arrived in the post this morning exactly as described, well packed and promptly despatched. Just as BC deals should be. Thanks Bob.
 21.
Obbm, Any chance of a review following the gig??
For the past year I've been using a pair of Schroeder 1212Ls and I can confirm that it is light and loud and should be a single cab solution however it needs to run-in. I have a gig tomorrow and another on Saturday so that should help. Any sound quality review would be a bit pointless seeing as I'm 3/4 deaf and have no HF and asymetric hearing corrected normally by hearing-aids, which I don't/can't wear when gigging. Far better for someone with good hearing to do a review.
