1. Hey No pics at mo, but I will try and get some sorted. It couldn't be more immaculate it's as new, boxed with instructions and it's number 139. And it sounds rip-roaring with both bass and guitar, can be dialled back to give a great od sound as well. I'm only really interested in a decent DI really, but could be persuaded with a nice quality delay/verb pedal. cheers

4. Bought an explorer from Muzz - A top gent, with excellent, clear communications during the transaction. A+++ buy with confidence!
5. They don't really update their site much. Word of mouth tends to cover their advertising, or so Jeff said when I went to pick up my gt200
6. No thanks Pob
7. Bump! Need to shift this before I change my mind and withdraw it Perfect old school mojo with plenty of thump and looks the mutts ping pongs. Excellent alternative to a vintage P bass and at a fraction of the cost.

Sad news. I'd met Si this year at his house to sell him my wah wah. He was an absolute gent, and enthusiastically made me play his shuker 5 RIP

14. Selling on my 'as new' Diamond BCP-1 to free up some £. It's the mutts ping pongs. And i've tried pretty much all the pedal comps out there. It comes boxed, with the 18v wall adaptor. Absolutely pristine condition. I've had this for just over a week. It provides subtle to medium comp, with a great tone stack and plenty of volume. It has velcro attached, but I can remove if need be. £125 delivered no trades

I'm considering selling on my 78 Ebony Gibson Ripper, or offering it up for trade. As a mainly active man, i'm finding it hard to switch from my spector to this all passive beast. The condition is pretty much A1 for it's age, not much rash, nothing that penetrates the finish anyway. It has a lovely neck and the action is set low to medium which gives a slick feel to the playability. It's great live and in the studio, it just 'sits' in the mix. It is very resonant and has plenty of overtones, easy to coax harmonics out. --------- The only non original part is the back pup, which was custom made by Kent Armstrong to mirror the sound and look of it's original. It even has copied string marks on the casing! Aside from that, it's all stock and 100% functional. It comes with a hard/soft case which is battered but functional. I am willing to ship and it will be packed very very securely to ensure a safe transit. Interested parties are always welcome to come and give this a blast through my Matamp GT200/NV610 set up although that will probably initiate more GAS attacks ;-) FS £650 plus shipping (this factors in a recent set up and fret stone) FT Stingray 2EQ or what have you? FT Spector Euro LX EDIT FOR LOCATION : Pontypridd, South Wales, CF37 4
16. Agreed. I went through a stage of 'tonedump' consideration, but I think that was mainly due to the amount of press that the issue was getting. It's easy to move with the herd when these things come up. I'm glad though, that I stuck with the TP. It does all I'd want it to do. If I changed it, I think i'd miss 'that' sound. This is definitely an interesting thread though. Let's see what Spector say to Cetera.
17. Hmm, very interesting indeed. Does this mean that with the bass and treble dialled fully back to 'flat' position, that we're in fact setting bass and treble to maximum cut? Would the knobs at 'mid point' then, represent a 'flat' setting of the pre?
18. Definitely my favourite strings, DR. I like the Hi-Beams for their brightness and feel, but am thinking of trying the low riders out purely out of curiosity.
19. I'm not actually sure mate. I'll ask him later
20. Arrakis, no mine's not the basket weave, it's the bubble. I did want the basket but they didn't have enough of it left for my gt200. My guitarist had the last GT120 in green weave. Cracking amps! Your two channel bass amp looks amazing!
21. love it!
22. Lol.... Should of thought about that one
23. I recently commissioned Max (silent fly) at SFX Sound to make me an analog chorus based on a CE-2 with a few tweaks. Here is my review of the unit. BUILD QUALITY - 10 Anyone who has been following the SFX thread in the affiliates forum will know that Max's pedals are very special indeed. This pedal is no exception. The finish on the enclosure is superb, with it's smooth almost mirror like surface and clearly labelled decal that surrounds the controls. The pedal has a look of simplicity and cleanliness to it which backed up with it's solid high build quality got me eager to plug in and have a bash. Plus it's got a blue led! FUNCTIONALITY/CONTROLS - 10 I wanted a pedal based on a CE-2, optimised for bass with tru bypass. In addition to the familiar CE-2 controls of 'depth' and 'rate', we decided to add an 'FX Level' and a couple of switches. One of which controls the 'mode' of the pedal and the other, the 'filter' of the pedal. The 'mode' switch enables you to flit between two chorus types, position 1 being the classic CE-2 sound and the other, a variation of this. The 3 position 'filter' switch enables you to affect your entire signal, your highs and mids or just your highs, i.e very useful! Between these controls I can get a lot of variations in the sound which makes this pedal very flexible indeed. A swiss army knife of chorus! It also has a dual output for either mono or stereo chorus!!! SOUND - 10 Clear lush chorus with lots of variation, subtle to saturated, it's all there! You can't get a bad sound out of it. I've tried it with both guitar and bass and it sounds fantastic on either. I would imagine this sounding lovely with a fretless bass. There is no change in EQ when the pedal is engaged, it sounds completely natural and there are no volume jumps. CUSTOMER SERVICE - 10 Max is a great guy and kept me informed all of the way throughout the build process. The pedal was securely packaged when I took delivery of it. I would recommend this pedal to anyone looking for a good, solid, musical sounding chorus. Max is a pedal guru and the quality and VFM of his creations is second to none. I will definitely be ordering some other SFX wizardry in the near future. to see the chorus, take a look at this thread http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=71973&st=60 To check out Max's website, take a look at http://sfxsound.co.uk If anyone has any questions about the pedal, drop me or Max (silent fly) a PM. Tim
