Cool. I'll hopefully get some shots of my (soon to be finished) board up here next week. Just waiting on a last pedal and a couple of patch leads which are in the post and I'll take some shots. I've managed to squeeze 7 pedals onto my diago, took a bit of arrangement/headscratching but it looks the biz. All kitted out in obbm's finest. I will at some point order the voltage doubler from diago so I can operate my cool cat from the same supply. Really really pleased with the diago overall though (thanks JJ!!). Cracking power supply and a very durable board to keep my pedals/settings happy. Packing away/setting up at rehersal is so much easier now as well!!!!

A funny thing happened on the way to the gig..
Basszilla replied to silverfoxnik's topic in General Discussion
Yeah I've managed to do the same if that makes you feel any better bro. Only outside our rehersal unit with my old band. I had to call out the AA as well, but I didn't have a mobile on me so had to walk about a mile to the nearest pay phone!! Played with Anthrax up in Manchester a few years back, our opening song and I wasn't even plugged in! Probably the worst gig of my entire life! Still, gotta laugh eh! -
You need at least some of those mids. If you prefer a scooped sound then back off the lows and highs by around 50/60% and introduce some mids into that setting, there should be less noise as well. Use your bass to make small EQ adjustments as you go along.

I'm going to be joining this thread soon with my new board set up. Have to get some shots done later on.

Top guy - recommended seller. Bought a pedal a few days ago from Pete which arrived today. Superb wrapping and speedy delivery.

My cabs are rear ported and I've never noticed any major sound differences as such compared to my old front ported cabs. Wasn't that point discussed on BW, where the conclusion was that there'd be no change in sound regardless of where the ports are? What is the official word on this? Sorry to hamper your point Dave, but this got me wondering again Alex/Bill?........

That warwick is looking badass Gaf.

Absolutely stunning. My main bass is practically identical except for the flame top I have. To me spector basses are the pinnacle of sound, aesthetics, ergonomics, playability and build quality. All boxes ticked everytime! I seriously have a hard time switching to other basses as I'm so used to the curved cutaway body. Beautiful basses! Slap tone is to die for. And we all know how well these basses cover hard rock, metal and pop. Well just about any style or genre really.

Have you got the tip on the adaptor correctly? (assuming it's of the multi tip variety) The EBS probably requires a 9v regulated negative tipped adaptor. I had a similar problem with one of my pedals - I was using a unregulated 9v and there was a lot of whooshing and background noise. Switched to regulated neg tip and it worked flawlessly.

http://www.furniture123.co.uk/layouts/item..._Drinks_Cabinet What about something like that? It's 4 ohm, 1000 watt. Plus you can look classy with a glass of pinor noir onstage, saves going to the bar as well. Sorry man, couldn't help it.

I'm liking that bro. Fair play. The guitar tone sounds quite menacing!

This last week I've been totally bitten by warwick gas, and this thread certainly isn't helping matters

Ant I quite like Trancing, it sounds cool. Good job on the vox on that track. Bass could be a bit louder in the mix as could the kick drum, on the whole though, sounds really good. The start of the guitar solo reminds me of something off the prophets second album. EDIT : I can see the WAS comparisons, the vox kinda remind me of Weezer in a strange way, from the song Buddy Holly.

I blew one of my amps up a while ago in practice. I had to borrow a mates Hartke 3500 to carry on with the rehersal. I thought it sounded excellent at the time, and as such I'd have no qualms using one again. If I remember it sounded quite gritty with a very quick response. Vasquez - I quite like that flesh and blood tune.

Both, if possible. Gives you more bass girth out front

+1 OBBM FTW Great guy, great products and great service.

I'd love to try out the SD800. I had an awesome tone last night in rehersal through my generation 1 little mark. More power and headroom would just be divine

Roto swing bass stainless steel for me. I used these when I first started playing and from there migrated onto DR strings. But I've gone back down the roto route and am well happy. A lot of people don't like them, but for me they're just perfect.

The DT10 is highly recommended even though mine died just recently, which is just my luck. For some reason I can't power it from an adaptor so have had to use a battery instead. But aside from this it's a great tuner and defo recommended above the boss. Very accurate and doesn't tone suck.

No, the markbass just alters the sound coming out of the speakers. That won't remedy the issue. He's talking about making his active electronics more inline with the performance of a passive bass when used with a fuzz. As tayste said, barge can make you a impedance buffer into a vbf2 which would sort the issue out. Failing that, get a passive bass or a different fuzz. I use a couple of fuzz pedals and they both work fine with my spector (bluebeard and a UF-01).

I've used one on a couple of shows through sharing a stage with other bands. I thought it sounded nice and certainly did it's job, although the guy who's cab it was was talking about upgrading to an Ampeg 810. I used an SWR and a Markbass on the seperate occactions I played through it. Sounded cool. Tone was quite nice I thought at the time. Seemed to do the job re:projection, althought PA support was used both times.

Standard tuning. Spent a lot of time in previous bands downtuning, my first proper band was tuned to A which was just silly. When I started my last band I wanted everything in standard for the true sound of our instruments. It just sounds so much better IMO. Finally found a singer who can actually belt it out in standard as well, which is half the battle with tuning.

That spector is well nice. Best of the bunch for me :-)
