3. Bloody hell, we did a support slot for you years back at devizes corn exchange, still got the flyers somewhere
4. I've been as well, I didn't think it was big enough for a brewery, let alone one with a national media campaign Ive listed all the celebs and music industry bosses I bumped into below 1)
5.
My band Von Nitros performing 'Vile' Live - GoPro on the monitor at the front &amp; a camera resting on my amp behind me. Audio straight from the GoPro. <iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/4vsdBWAFXkU" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> https://youtu.be/4vsdBWAFXkU
How have you found the sound from the go pro for clarity, I'm only listening on a iPad so can't really tell

8.
The very fact that there are venues/promoters who think that music should be provided for free and feed performers no sustenance other than BS about what great "exposure" it'll be if they play their gig is why this article exists. If you can't (or won't) understand that, then you've clearly never experienced it. That's great for you, but spare a thought for others who have gone through what feels like a bruising haggling session just to squeeze a drop of fuel money out of these tight fisted so and sos.
What he said
9. brilliant
10.
Melksham Party in the Park with Purple Fish, 18 July.
Really? Our bloody drummer lives in melksham and never even mentioned they had a festival like that, you wait till I see him next - bloody drummers
11.
Your not alone. We had a couple of fairs that we have played annually ignore us this year. I understand 1 of them is going the route of looking for bands that will perform for free, Good luck with that. Blue
They would find them easily over here, plenty of bands happy to get paid in the new legal currency of "exposure"
12.
What band(s)?
Alter Chaos for both. First band on for old town gig at 1pm. Meaning we get our full time slot as it won't be running late 6.30 pm slot for the chippenham one, it's actually the George inn at sandy lane
13. Old town festival - town gardens, Swindon Saturday 13th june Chippenham beer and cider festival - chippenham Saturday August 1st Not massive events, but just nice to play somewhere where there is a happy crowd and a decent sound man (hopefully on both counts)
14. The timing won't be such as issue as I just want to hold a strings note say on a D chord before the band enter or at the end of a song We won't generally be playing along with the sequence It's more that the band or the sequence take over from each other if that makes sense? A few sound effects may be triggered during songs, but timing will not be important on these
15. Wasn't sure of the best place to put this, but here goes I want to Use my iPad to play some sequences and sound effects live while the band are playing Primarily I want to be able to record a strings section at home and then press a button in the iPad to play it back when we are playing live I've seen these apps which are just a block of pads to press It's not massive parts and not worthy of a full music package like ableton live to run a complete. Backing track and our drummer won't play to a click, however he is massively accurate with his timings luckily It is generally more synth sounds and strings to create an atmospheric intro or ending Any one do this in their band at the moment ?
16. Ok this has been rescheduled due to last weeks cancellation at the last moment We will be in Witney tomorrow night Saturday 21st
17. Nothin wrong with LEDs mate I've stripped our drummers entire kit, fitted RGB LEDs into each drum and then run them through a light to sound controller at our gigs Very nice
18.
TBH a Kanye show is better than most rock bands headlining a festival. How many people have seen a Kanye live set? Typical BC - no previous experience but will judge anyway.
No but I did see that pile of sh*t at the Brit awards. - does that count, I myself would rather sit through metallica again than Kanye west no matter how dull their set was perceived to be But come on let's be positive, at least here we get to see the whinging twat on a stage he's acutally booked to be on
19. Alter Chaos playing the Cross Keys in Witney Come on up for some classic rock
20. Well not so long ago, I was all " I don't need effects pedals" and " I don't know why bass players bother with effects" Along with the " I love the pure sound of my guitar" and " all seems pointless to me" Well I have another gig on Friday and ....................... I now have this lots at my feet Haha how I've changed my opinion, is it bass players preogative ?
21. Turn the guitarist bass right down and then super glue or snap the knobs off I explained the sonic spectrum to our guitarist and he took it all in and we worked well with me to find areas we could both occupy, we were looking for a second guitarist, but once we had sorted our sound it was clearly obvious we didn't need one, I just add a bit of distortion to the top or use the dual rig guitar amp setup I have to fill the gap when he is soloing
22. Oh my god, we are adding one to our set, will that mean I'm not a bassist anymore I'm going to do it proper though, kicking the guitarist off stage for 3 mins
23. I have the drive after the AB switch and octave pedal I have separate drives for the guitar signal and the bass signal
24. Good sounds I've been running dual rigs since the band started about 4 months ago and we decided we only wanted 1 guitarist Currently running into a MXR AB box which is similar to the switchblade, then the bass signal goes through its chain of effects including an octabass to allow me to add a lower note The second signal runs through a EHX Micro pog to get the upper octave this then runs to a line 6 spider iv combo to produce the guitar sound I have the floor controller with volume pedal which allows me to change patches and bring the guitar in and out as required during parts of the song, this I find easier than switching pedals on and off I use this amp as it has a smart harmony feature which also allows me to add an upper fifth to the note and create a power chord if needed as well On the bass side I have added a stutter switch in the chain which allows me to instantly kill the bass note if needed to play a guitar fill before bringing back in the bass
25. Guys Where do you source the boxes for your home made effects pedals I want a simple box to mount one switch in, one about the size of a Mooer pedal would be great Thanks
