1. Also was thinking about trying one sometime soon Please share if you do
2. If i'm soloing over, say, Cmajor (Keeping it simple, for me) I just play any of the modes not for the specific chord tones, just for where I know the notes are on the neck. Not sure if this is the right way to do things but tbh I'm not even sure there is a 'right' way Just thought to add, I never really solo properly
3. Doesn't Pino use them? When he's grooving with the R&B peoples?
4. I'll be checking out your youtube channel
5. Alright cheers
6. Sweet, can i get it after him? or shall I Pm him?
7. I hope to
8. I practice about 1.30 - 2 hours a day. This consists of finger exercises, sight reading (Some thing I'm focusing on right now) and composing but I class all of that as my practice routine. Oh and I'm almost 19, if that matters
9. I am excited for you!
10.
Are you still working on this?
Yupp, but it's come to the refinish stage and I'm waiting for some warmer weather and also I've been at uni so haven't had any time for it unfortunately but I have 3 weeks off at the end of March so I'm hitting the laquering and painting then I realise it has been a while but hopefully it'll be playable soon! Thank you for your interest Whoops spell check
11. They had a jaco fretless in PMT and Pianos (mickleburgs) not long ago. Nice to play as well You could defret one of your own? pretty cheap job, if you have one to do it to of course.
12.
Do you have access to a multimeter? I would start by just checking the pot itself to ensure it is contacting, not hard to do. I'm pretty sure if it is the pot that you could find an alternative pot to use if it is that. Checking a potentiometer: www.youtube.com/watch?v=Eh2cQCLie5A
I think so, I'll check that out Thanks
13. No one else have any ideas?
14.
Young prick! I was 4.
You old bastard!
15. That looks really lovely!
16.
I know now that i was wrong, i forgot to change it. Still, the difference was really only one note, so i'm happy i was even close! I'm not much of a theory man, so yeah.
That's fair enough, I can't really work out a key signature myself.. Sorry if it sounded like I was having a dig.
17.
I WAS RIGHT! Who would've guessed?
Are you sure?
18. Oh man! Well done, looks fantastic!
19.
Yer 'tis! Have just had a Bartolini p bass pick up fitted by the Bass Gallery in the neck position (after this photo). Graham
It's tiny!
20.
Who is to decide what the best note is though
Completely agree.
You might only be a semitone away from a correct note, but you could be six semitones away from the best note.
Surely the best note is the one you were hearing in your head and I assume (I know I shouldn't) that you were aiming for a note and then hit the wrong one or maybe just a bit confused
21.
Why is that guy wearing comedy yeti feet?
22. Looks pretty! Well done!
23. Looks like his jeans were too big, or was the style in the 90s? I don't know I was 3 when this was taken..
24. Would I be able to see if there was a broken chip/resistor/etc?
25. Also I thought to add. When I move the pot the round metal bit in the pictures wobbles, where as when I tried with the Bass pot (which works) it did not
