1. I really couldn't live with that bridge, it pains me to look at it. The grain is nice and the body and that bit on the fretboard is lovely
  2. I tap my foot all the time. What ever type of music and even along to music that's in my head.
  3.
I particularly dislike it when the word "like" is thrown into a sentence far too often

That's very unfortunate if you're from Cardiff.
Or Bristol
  4. Pretty sure you're meant to pop that aren't you?
  5.
Still available? Do you know the width at the pocket? Cheers...
Yes, very much so. The pocket is 64mm.
  6.
Wow, this is coming together so nicely. Congratulations on the weight loss! and really nice carving too. I agree it's an improvement on the original. I'm currently in the middle of a 'lack of powertools, money to buy them or space to use them' crisis and I'm interested in your thicknessing-by-hand method. Anything I've seen online makes it seem like a vigorous, violent process with a scrub plane, which requires a very sturdy workbench. All I've see in your photos is a collapsing workmate thingy. Can you divulge your secret?
Just a thought. I've taken some pieces of wood into a cabinet makers in Weston and asked them to plane down a couple of pieces of wood for me. Cost me a fiver. Maybe something you could try if there is anyone near by to you?
  7. Not been waiting at Gatwick for days BUMP!
  8.
Who is it who makes these decisions? Can't one of our current pop "big guns" have a go? - Florence, Sam, Ed, Emili, Ed, Paloma etc Why do we send in the non-league team?
Blue went in the other year. I'd say they were quite a 'big guns' act. They didn't win.. We'd never win, most of Europe hates us
  9. That looks fantastic! Well done

    tonyquipment

Sold Tony some little keyboard and pads I had. He was quick to reply, and even rounded up the postage cost which was very kind. Would definitely deal with him again! Thanks again
  11. And the winner is tonyquipment by two minutes!
  12. SOLD Hey, I bought these off of here to have a cheap experiment with electronic music. Didn't really get used so here they are again. Both work fine. £15 takes both plus postage. Collection welcome. Mike SOLD
  13.
Hey mate. Do you know the wood type? Is it weighty?
I don't know the wood, it solid though not ply. Not sure of the wood though. Using the with/without scale test. It weighs 7lbs.
  14. Hey I bought this off of here a year or so ago to make a P/J bass. In the end I never got around to it so I want rid of it. It's a loaded body. Not sure the pickups work and they look to have been painted. [s]No scratchplate screws atm, if I can find them I'll screw them back in[/s]. Little bit beat up but it seems to be solid wood and not ply. Scratches on the back and front. £25 + Postage Collection from Weston-super-Mare, or somewhere near by for a little petrol money. Can deliver again for a little petrol money. Will post. Edit: Found the screws. The scratchplate is now screwed in properly.
  15. Hello and welcome! I am actually going to Trondheim on thursday for the weekend Any good places to visit?
  16.
Stambaugh fretless: I've played it, sounds great.
Looks amazing!
  17.
And have you received it? I've just been told it's not finished yet. Oh well.
Oh, no I haven't. I haven't looked in ages, didn't even realise it had reached the goal. I got fed up of all the irritating emails everyday 'updating' me.
  18.
Did anyone apart from me buy the film? £20 signed blueray with a download version? Only did it when they announced multi region...
I bought the DVD version not the Blu-ray one. I did it early on and just hoped it was multi-region.
  19. Looks lovely! I have a five string version with humbuckers and it's lovely! GLWTS!
  20.
You know the thing, music with a fashion and a scene. Can't think what the last one was, probably Gunge (Grunge) but that was 20 years ago. The Chav thing didn't have an associated music, but it's more than 7 years ago since that started. What's new?
Emo was a huge one about 5 years ago? Is that the kinda thing you're talking about?
  21. There may well be pros here posting under a pseudonym. We wouldn't know if they never let on.
  22.
My mate said when he picked it up it was soaking wet. He said water was running out the pups. He thinks it has been stored for a long time in a damp garage.
That's really not acceptable is it. Is it ruined?
