That's £1400, including a decent case and a Moody strap. I have a few sound clips somewhere if folks would like to hear these - I'll see if I can dig 'em out later. The clips aren't that great, but they do give some idea how these sound.

Bass lessons (visiting) available in Wolverhampton, Dudley, Walsall and surrounding areas. Been playing for 35 years, still gigging regularly, qualified teacher, can cover any style and all aspects of technique, theory and reading. PM me here to start a conversation. You'd be surprised what even a short course could do for your playing, I'm sure. Bill
Can't go wrong with a Moody strap guys, mine was $160 new according to the box, so £70 is a bargain!
Yeah - with the dollar price, shipping and VAT/customs duties, I think I ended up paying over £120 for this one! That kind of crept up on me by surprise (I think beer was probably involved). Crazy! But that's why I think this really is a steal for anybody who wants the very best strap money can possibly buy, as you won't get one over here for any less at present. The other one I have DID cost a lot less, but that was about 6 years ago when the £ was doing so much better. -

We all love threads like these, don't we? Posted here for quick sale, first come, first served, all items priced to sell so no lowball offers please! For local pickup of any of these you need to know that I am in wonderful WOLVERHAMPTON. Obviously, I'd be happy to post the first item, but the other two would perhaps be better for collection - read on for details. First up - 4" leather Moody strap. I bought this to colour co-ordinate (yeah, tell me about it) with a bass I've since sold. Strap is as 99.9% as new, you can tell a bass has been attached when you look at the strap button holes, but otherwise totally clean and unmarked. Maybe used for 4 hours total. This one is black leather, backed with tobacco suede, standard 37"-49" length (it doesn't have the extension). It has the Moody Insignia at one end and the gold embossed bass clef at the other (it came from the TalkBass.com store). I have a black/blue Moody strap for my current main bass and would not use anything else. If you've never tried one then you really should, but they're pricey. New from Moody these are $170 plus shipping to the UK. You can have this one for £70 INCLUDING POSTAGE TO MAINLAND UK, which works out just over half price. Pics of the actual strap: Next - Hiscox "LiteFlite" Standard EBS case, now surplus to requirements as I have more cases than basses! This is rigid as hell but very light. I'm only choosing this one for sale as it's had very little use and is therefore in better nick and worth more than my other cases. Status sent me another one of these (with the Status logo moulded in) with my S2 classic. Again, 95% or more as new, which isn't surprising as the damn thing is probably indestructible. I even have the keys! Fits standard basses - J, P, et cetera, but if you have something really weird I'd recommend checking the dimensions first. These are about £70 new plus shipping, will sell for £45. It would suit local pickup better at this price as shipping would be a big chunk on top of £45. Stock photos: And last - Hercules GS432B stand. Full height stand for 3 basses with their autograb hanger system. I got this for when I used to take multiple basses on gigs, but that was never very often and it's absolutely unthinkable to me now! So, hasn't been used much at all. It's one of three Hercules stands I own and they're all really nice quality. This one is pretty much as new in original box and of course the obligatory polythene bag. These are £60 or so new plus shipping, will sell for £35, so again, local collection will make this more attractive, I reckon. Stock photo and Hercules webpage for this stand: http://www.herculesstands.co.uk/product/85...ri_guitar_stand Some nice items here, methinks. Let's get 'em to someone who'll get some use out of them.

Well, I'm pleased that some folks like it and it doesn't seem outrageously overpriced. I know the market's slow, but the last couple of basses I sold on here (a Jazz and a Ric) went fairly quickly. Maybe I just got lucky. I still think that if anyone's after a Stingray they'll love the condition that this one has been kept in (as long as they like the colour ). There can't be too many used ones come come on to the market after just one gig! JoshL - I said I'd prefer local pickup, but I would ship it if someone was prepared to work with me on that! Whereabouts are you? There's a chance the bass may still be available when you're ready to think about buying and I wouldn't want you to rule it out just because you're too far away to collect.

Weird - I got some interest in this within minutes of posting it and so I thought I might have a sale. Then the guy has to back out (before we'd agreed anything firm, I should add) because he had some very bad luck and his personal circumstances changed. Since then, very quiet. So, BUMP - at least, tell me what you think of the look and condition of the bass. Am I asking too high a price, ya think? Comments appreciated.
thats a lovely stable of mistresses, do you sleep with them all at once or one per week?
All at once - it's the only way! Okay, I took some pics. They're not the most artistic shots you will have seen as my photography skills aren't great, as you can see. But I think they're good enough to show the condition of the bass, ie, like new. If anyone would like me to take close ups of any particular bit of it, just let me know.
Open to offers bump.
Aaaargh! A few years ago I'd have given my right arm for this. I had the fretted version and wanted the fretless to go with it. I ended up giving the fretted one to my nephew - he never plays it and it's just sitting there at his house, as far as I know. If I was buying rather than selling at present I'd have this one. I hope you find a nice home for it, it's gorgeous.
Pics or it didn't happen.
True enough - my apologies to those waiting for pics today, life took over and I ran out of time. I'll get on it as soon as I have some decent light in the morning to take some. Here's the only pic of the bass I can find on my PC at present and this just shows it as "one of the family", doesn't do the bass justice at all. I'll take some better ones tomorrow. Bill

EBMM Stingray 4H 3EQ 2004 up for grabs. Translucent orange, rosewood neck. This was an impulse buy, brand new, on a lunch break from work, back in early 2005. The shop had five Stingrays in stock at the time, of which this was by far and away the best player when I tried them all, and it was in Wolves colours to boot! I just couldn’t pass on that. It’s a gorgeous looking bass and I’ll get some decent pics up later today. Out of all the basses I’ve owned (and I’ve had a lot!) this is definitely one of the best made and best playing instruments. It’s a beauty. But I’ve only ever used it on one gig, even though I’ve had it over six years. That’s because I found the Stingray tone, while great on its own, just isn’t what I want to hear when I’m playing in a band. I still haven’t bettered my Jazz basses for that. On the other hand, if the Stingray tone is exactly what you’re after, this will obviously do the job for you, and you won’t find a better one anywhere, in my opinion. Because it’s been used so little, it is MINT – like new, not a mark on it. Of course it will come with the EBMM case (made by SKB, I believe?) with all the original tags and case candy. I’ll also throw in a new set of the stock EBMM Super Slinkys 45-100 with it. The bass is not getting played by me and it should go to a good home where someone will get some serious use out of it. I’m looking for [s]£800[/s] £750 cash, which I think is a great price for a Stingray in condition like this, and would ideally prefer local pick up (I’m in Wolverhampton) or possibly a meet halfway if that’s a bit far for you. Shipping and insurance available at buyer's cost.

Not using this since I got my VT bass. If you want a DI and the footswitchable 3 presets option, it's a nice little box. Typical Tech 21 high quality. These are going for £207 new at Thomann currently. This one's like new apart from one TINY little mark on one edge, still with the box, £100 cash (firm price) for quick sale. Would prefer local pickup in Wolverhampton but will ship at buyer's cost. Payment by cash on pickup or internet bank transfer.

Okay here’s the long awaited pics, sorry for the delay. As I said, my photo skills don’t do this justice, but at least you should get the idea. Ask if you’d like me to try and get better ones of any particular aspect and I will try if I get some decent daylight tomorrow or Saturday. These are the best I can take this evening and they’re really for people who have already asked about the bass to give them a rough idea. It is, as far as I can tell, the same as the day I bought it. The marks on the lower body horn really look bad in one of these pics – they’re just fingerprints from me handling the bass and I’ll give it a clean before taking some more. I can hardly see the marks as I look at the bass here now. I’ve included a shot of the fingerboard up close as the wood grain is gorgeous – I hope you can tell.
I can recommend buying this bass off Bill. I bought a Status S2 Classic off him in 2007 and it was in absolute immaculate condition. He looks after his gear.
Thanks for the recommendation! My apologies for being slow with the pics - I've just been so busy (or maybe my subconscious is trying to stop me selling it, heh). I'll get some up very soon, promise.

Rickenbacker 4003 Fireglo, mint condition. I bought this new early in 2004 as I’d always wanted a Ric, but the reality is that I’ve hardly played it (used it on maybe two gigs). I think I’m just a Jazz bass sort of person. It’s a shame it doesn’t get played enough. Anyway, it’s a real beaut- the fingerboard is just gorgeous. I’ll try to get some pics up later, although my photography won’t do this justice. I’ll include the Ric case, of course (some minor exterior marks – the bass itself is perfect) with the genuine Ric cleaning cloth (lol), a realy nice matching padded red leather strap by Eagle Music (with Schaller straploks, as the bass had the strap buttons for these from new) and a new, unopened set of Rickenbacker strings. The bass does NOT have the tone control capacitor mod that was introduced a little later, but this could be easily added if wanted. Anyone who wants to save a few quid on what is essentially an as new 4003 and skip the wait might do well with this one. I’m asking £1200 cash (no trades, thanks) which seems pretty fair to me given the current retail situation. I would prefer local collection rather than shipping – I could be willing to meet halfway somewhere if Wolverhampton is a long haul for you.
