You're right, 'Everyday I have The Blues' is the first track from the Trio set, think I was getting muddled up cos the OP made me put the DVD on and have a play along , love the intro to EIHTB. Si
Me too. Always find it inspiring to watch/listen to if I'm feeling a little musically "jaded,", if you get my drift.
 2. Just for the record, I had a fairly lengthy exchange of PMs with Brian and experienced no problems at all communication-wise.
 3.
What was the track in the OP called?
The track is called: "Who Did You Think I Was?"
 4. I'm old.
 5. Bump and back to the top. Why is it that communication within bands is so p*** poor? If I get a phone call offering me a bass slot in a band and I accept it, am I being unreasonable in thinking that some sort of agreement has been reached? I'm pretty cynical to be honest, but obviously not cynical enough!! Oh well, onward and upward. PS: I'm not bitter, honestly!!
 6. I would strongly recommend you to consider one of the Warwick Streamer Standards currently for sale here. Not only are they of exceptional build quality, they represent incredibly good value for money and have very slim/fast necks. Personally, I wouldn't go anywhere near a Rock Bass equivalent. All IMHO.
 7. Withdrawn as all sorted now.
 8. PMd again.
 9. A bargain, methinks!!
 10.
If you do that I'm not even bothing to learn the tracks I couldn't look more different from Tony Levin if I tried
That's a deal then!!
 11.
Grow a big moustache and you'd be perfect.
Don't imagine for a moment that I'm not considering it!!
 12.
Hi there guys, Bit of long shot, but I'm looking at doing a 'large scale' Peter Gabriel tribute band next year. It will be fully promoted, fully pro mainly playing large theatres so I need serious musos only. Obviously one of the hardest parts is finding a guy who can fill the big mans shoes, so Is there anyone out there????? We are mainly based on the NW England area and have a full 24 hour rehearsal space fully self contained. If anyone thinks they might be up for it I'd love to hear from you. Hope to hear from you soon! Kind regards, Bri x
Well, I do have the haircut and I have latterly been doing theatre shows. 13.
SOLD ON FLEABAY...bah!
Excellent!! Congrats - I think?
 14.
After 40, the cells mutate Far too many band members would have to wear hats on stage Seriously though, the songwriter said: "we're looking for a very specific style and the age range thing is just a guide." Granted, it's harder to find the right bassist using a plectrum, but that's what he is after on his songs. Thanks for your interest anyway.
Hats?? What are you suggesting?! You may well be right about the cells though..................................................... Good luck in your pleccie quest.
 15.
Yeah, me too. I get much more from songs and band performances. I know bass can do a lot of things... I just don't really want to hear 'em.
Couldn't agree more.
 16. Any particular reason for the age range stipulation and/or plectrum requirement? Mind you, I don't do BVs anyway, so I fail on that one too. How very depressing!!
 17.
I know I know, alredy had this conversation with "domestic mangement".. would like to keep, but decided on having a complete purge...(of everything bassy) and starting again. See what there is to buy when I know what I've got to spend, as opposed to usual practice of buying, then seeing how much I have to spend. Luckily my band mate owns a guitar shop so won't go short of a guitar or amp in mean time. This forum has reignited severe GAS!...somebody help!
Sounds like potentially exciting times ahead of you!! Enjoy the journey - sounds like your friend can provide a very useful safety net in the meantime, so make sure you take full advantage of the fact eh??!!
 18.
2000 built warwick streamer standard in green stain. Single pup, passive, coil tap. Nice simple functional bass, used over my active 5 string corvette for main gigging bass. Some dings on back from gigging, but can't see from front. "Proper" warwick neck and finger board, not yer eastern rockbass. £220 +pp, or pickup/delivery (within 50 miles of North dorset).
Thought you were hanging onto this?
 19.
Works fine for me
Does for me too now. Odd eh?
 20. Unintentionally looming retirement type bump.
 21. Good luck with the trade.
