1. I do hope so. That would be a result for sure.
 2. Withdrawn. Back into the Hiscox case and into the spare room for the foreseeable future I think. Tragic, but there you are.
 3. 3 more hours to go. Ye Gods - I'm beginning to bore myself now!!!
 4. I'm sure you're right - on both counts.
 5.
That and you being fussy
Yep, that's fair comment I think. If you weren't so far away, I'd be tempted to have a play on your MM. Probably daft of me to dismiss it out of hand as I've never actually played one, but there you go. C'est la vie etc.
 6.
MB1. ...So Thats where it went! BUMP!
PMd
 7.
MB1. Think youll need the pics to get the interest! . BUMP!
You beat me to it by seconds. Great minds etc.
 8.
hey, i sure hope you get your bass sold. it's a solid buy! cheers, owen.
Cheers my friend. I'm not holding my breath though to be honest. It's a bit of a bugger - and a sign of the times - when even DFS marketing methods don't shift a beauty like this eh? Oh well, 6hours + to go.............................
 9.
I'm crying here..... either are basses that I'd love to own
Sod's Law innitt??!!

 11.
If I am correct The bass that caught my eye and started me thinking bout changing used to belong to yourself. It's a GB Spitfire prototype. I should have been here earlier man! I would give my life to own a new Spitfire but there's no way i can afford it!
Twas indeed. The current owner is trying to move it on at the moment. Might be worth contacting him to see if you can strike a deal of some sort? This is his Sale/Trade thread: GoodfellowPrototype Hope it works out for you.
 12. "Final"bump number two.
 13. Final (?) bump for the closing 24 hours. Your last chance to own this beauty. Go on - you know it makes sense!!
 14.
i really like your bass! lovely! do you like the Yamaha BBNE2 (nathan east sig model) 5-string thru-neck i have for sale on this very site? (the very bass that is my avatar) regards, owen fielding
Nice looking bass, but not really my cup of meat I'm afraid. Good luck with the sale.
 15.
MB1. Curious and Curiouser?...7.00... Friday the sixteenth?..... BUMP!
Made you look!!
 16. As things seem to have gone decidedly quiet, I'm going to try to inject a little urgency into the situation by withdrawing the offer at 7.00 this Friday evening (16th October) unless a deal is struck, or at the very least on the table, before then. I've also decided to make the bass available on a cash sale basis for £750 (no offers), payable on collection. I am happy to drive up to 50 miles to meet/deliver, petrol costs of £20 payable by buyer. Anyone?
 17. PMd!!
 18. I'd be happy to consider a Precision if it "floated my boat" and had the right neck profile. Several offers received but no final decision made as yet. Anything else interesting? I'd like to have this sorted before the end of the week so, if you are hesitaiting, just ask !!
 19. Tuesday morning bump.
 20. Understood and no problem. A man has to try.
 21.
I always have two basses, when it's two fours, there's no problem, when it's two fives it's no problem either but when I have one of each the four never gets played. I really don't want to sell this bass, I'd rather keep this and sell my 5 which, although I really love it, it just isn't suitable (too Marcus Miller) for the music my new band plays. Sadly, I know there's no chance of getting my money back on the 5er in the current gloom and can't afford to take a big hit on it so my beloved Jazz has to go.
Fancy my Status S1 Graphite?
 22.
I had this one for a while and its a lovely bass. Great neck. It was a toss up whether I kept this or a Sandberg PM5. In the end my Sanberg got the vote as its a bit more versatile - but it was close. As I recall the bass is in splendid condition - with just the afore-mentioned (very small) patch of buckle rash on the back.
Yes indeedy!! Thank you for those kind words.
 23. Unfortunately, I think i'm a bit more "old school" than that - probably an age thing!! Thanks for the measuring tip though. On that basis, I get it to 17.75 mm, so itmlooks like it is the standard 18mm spacing. All PMs replied to. Thanks to everyone who has responded. Any more? Spector or Shuker could be interesting, or a Precision if the neck wasn't too chunky. I realise I'm in danger of starting to contradict myself now so I'll shut up!! Basically, please don't hesitate to offer me anything on the basis that I may not know what I really want until I see it. Comprendez?
