2.
Peter, your nemesis definately needs this pointing out to him
+1000. Sounds like a case of paranoid delusions of adequacy IMHO.
 3.
Cheers chap! Hope we'll see you in Sutton-In-Ashfield in October? You must let me know when you're playing down south with the Dan Collective as well....!
Gigs permitting, I'd certainly like to catch your next show at The Diamond. Unfortunately, getting work for The Dan Collective, down south or otherwise, is proving to be a little like platting fog. The majority of venues/promoters either haven't the faintest idea what we are talking about or, even worse, expect a rendition of "All Around My Hat". The only work we have looming/possible this year is jazz festivals in Yorkshire and Nottinghamshire.
 4.
Had a STORMING show in Glasgow last week! Such a HIGH! So....Bumping for our show at 'The Office' in South Shields this Friday night!
Great little venue. I'm sure it'll go down a treat!!
 5.
They arent going to either. This bloke is not prepared to compromise or learn anything new or different, he isnt ready in himself to gig, he just likes his social hour each week. Get another band. Now..... Let the band know exactly why you are looking for another band as well.
I agree 100%. This is just a weekly social outing for this moron. Move on now before you regret it!!
 6.
Sorry Bassicinstinct, I'm not always "on-line" at the weekend. PM about to be replied to.
And likewise.
 7.
Sounds like you have attained a state of Gear Nirvana! Actually I'm planning on buying one of those short Comfort Strapps too - how do you rate them in terms of comfort/adjustability/reliability? I've been wearing my basses up quite high recently too and some of my straps just aren't short enough!
PMd.
 8.
PMd.
And again - sorry!!
 9.
That my friend, is a genius piece of software! Good man!!
+1!!
 10.
It would be like, a sort of public duty
Certainly sounds like it. Life's too short etc etc.
 11. I respectfully suggest that you make it a priority to tamper with his crampons. Go on - you know it makes sense - the world would be a better place.
 12. This might give you a fighting chance: SouthYorksEntertainment Good luck!!
 13.
No worries. Great little loop feature on it too. Either put the start and end times of the phrase, or just press the "Now" buttons at the appropriate times and click the loop box. Loop away to your heart's content. (Never fails to irritate the wife this )
Thanks for that. I shall unleash that particular delight upon my wife when she is least expecting it!! I have now down loaded it and it is indeed precisely what I'm looking for, so sincere thanks again. You may very well have saved my (musical) life.
 14. Fantastic!! BestPractice looks to be exactly what I'm looking for. Thanks guys. Problem solved in less than 20 mins. I love this place.
 15. As my search for a Tascam CDBT-1 or the like has thus far proved fruitless (see Items Wanted), I'm wondering whether I could achieve my aim via some FREE software? I'm looking for some freeware which will enable me to: - tweak the tempo up or down without affecting the pitch. - tweak the key up or down without affecting the tempo. I've found demo versions of one or two programmes which will do the trick, but the price to upgrade to the full versions means that I may as well buy the Tascam machine - if I can find one!! All/any help gratefully received as always.
 16.
.. but only every do that in rehearsal. If you loose the argument about a tune and it gets into the set list then play it as if you love it. Every time. There's always something in every tune that you can work on to help you improve yourself as a player. And once you've learned to fake sincerity you have it made as a covers artists ....
+1000.
 17. My band regularly takes an enforced prostate break to accomodate my advancing years. It does worry me sometimes to think that I'm old enough to be the parent (if not grand parent) of the majority of our audience.
 18.
I think that'll depend on the discharge curve of the battery and the minimum voltage the preamp requires to work. Alex
Yes indeedy.
 19. +1 on the battery diagnosis.
 20.
Thanks for the heads up anyway. We're booked in for an overnight stay so looking forward to a few beers afterwards.
Hope it works out OK for you.
 21. Chiropractor.
 22.
Cheers mate - do I take it you've had experience of this venue?
Done it on a numerous of occasions with several bands - always on a Sunday night. Some of the very earliest gigs were fairly well attended, but the venue seems to be suffering more than most from the current situation. We don't plan to do it again and I do know of other bands who have come to the same conclusion. At least it's still open I suppose.
