    Go for the band no question. When I was at Uni decades ago I dropped out after completing my second year because the band I was playing with was attracting interest and were getting some good support slots. Unfortunately it never worked out but if it had worked out I would have regretted not taking the plunge for the rest of my life! Dunc PS managed to complete my studies at a later stage!

    For sale are my two 5 string basses as I have decided 4 is the magic number for me. Both are in mint condition. First up is a Spector Q5 pro in amberburst with BO neck. This has two EMG HZ pups with active bass and treble. Looking for £225. Secondly is a Dean Edge unlined fretless in see through black also BO neck. This has two Dean branded pups with active treble and bass. Looking for £200. Both are cracking basses and am only off loading as they have one more string than I can cope with! No case so pick up from Northampton area only Dunc

    After a couple of rehearsals and a gig last night have to say what a phenomenal bass my new LX4 is. Exceded my expectations by miles! It hangs well (ooer missus!) and the sound is fantastic! Sorry its all subjective but I was totally blown away at how good it is. This was backed up by many compliments on the sound from the audience. If any one tells me there is a similiar deal on a fretless it will be hard not to get the plastic out! D
