1. Come on Tom, you know the score. Pictures please.
2. I try to vote every month but I get easily distracted by shiny things in the basses for sale section.
3.
Are either of these guys related to John Coghlan? I'm guessing that Status Que are a tribute band, right?
Phone auto correct. Doh.
4. I really like the look of these, glad you've bonded on with it now.
5. Wow, what a beauty. That finger board......
6. I've gigged with John Colhan of Status Que fame. He goes out as Coglan's Quo for a minimum of a grand a night plus expenses. We got 250 a head on a normal gig and on occasions double that.
7. I want to hear this. I live in a small apartment and this could be a good solution to the lack of space I have. I wonder if I could connect it to my smart TV and use it as a sound bar as well?
8.
But amatures and semi pros are more likely to be more willing to listen and even be told there wrong. At present im very willing to be told im wrong and learn.
Glad to hear this as it's " amateurs" and " their" and " I'm".
9.
I've literally just bought this VM Precision for £120 off of eBay, it was only listed for a few minutes before I snapped it up. Well pleased! http://www.ebay.co.u...K%3AMEBIDX%3AIT
Hey, thebrig. Slow down man, leave some basses for the rest of us.
10. Volume full on, tone rolled back a 8th when I had my '57 RI. My '75 was full on for both. Always use the volume to mute between numbers though. I think a kill switch and no tone knob would be the way to go for me. Just turn the fekker up full and then remove the tone control. Do any tone changes on the amp's eq or effects pedals. Knobs on a bass confuse me. The less, the better.
11. Yeah, result. And about time too.
12. I love the mojo this bass has and not a belt sander in sight. GLWTS.
13. My latest acquisition is been bought for me by my wife to be, no problems here. The rest I keep at work.
14. Happy Anniversary Shell, great thread.
15. I have the premium version. I'm sorting out my play lists to use off line so I have loads of music when I'm on my honeymoon in Thailand. I'm also using it for background music at my wedding. Oh look, my 1000th post.
16. A Fender P bass which I'm taking delivery of in a couple of weeks.
17. I was watching that one too. I nearly bid on it myself but grabbed something nice off of here instead. Good score.
18. Nice one Mark, you've got yourself a good gig there Well done that man. .
19.
thanks for this i will take a look, as a kid i loved DP and RB was my idol until i saw how pathetic he behaved, Cannot stand him. favourite album was the gold made in japan album but they never seemed to be able to recreate that sound to a tee. Last time i saw blackmore his playing was disjointed and boring.
I still love the Richie days. They were the first band I ever saw at the age of 14. Richie was my favourite guitarist in my teenage years. Unfortunately, though, you're right, I grow up and realized what a bellend he is.
20. PM sent.
21. That looks lush. I'm guessing there's no neck dive with the larger body? But the price.
22. Are you going to be using it at Cottiers? It looks great. Shame I'm on my honeymoon in Thailand when you're playing there, I would love to be at that gig. I will be buying the DVD when it comes out. Yes, I am a big fan.
23.
It was a long drive (through weather that the Daily Mail said was killing 7 people a second but well worth it). Lovely lovely bass. Very well built - was it really your first? So glad you didn't end up splitting it. Many thanks....good cuppa too
I think you got a bargain there Buddy, it's a lovely looking bass. If it sounds as good as it looks, you're on to a winner.
24.
Lent out a fretless ibanez musician. Never saw it again.
Did you go blind?
