1. That's a tasty looking bass. Shame I'm skint. Have a bump on me.
2. Don't listen to The Greek, he will give you GAS. I did and am now a proud owner of a SB301 and couldn't be happier.
3. It sounds a great as it looks. I Love the tone and the looks. Enjoy.
4. You could try PM'ing Bassasin. He might be able to help. I think he had one at one point.
5. I'm getting married in March. I wanted my old Que tribute band to play but the OH wants a harpist. I would live to hear Mystery Song played on a harp.

Top job there Ash, it looks really cool. If it sounds like a Grabber, you're on to a winner.
7. I like the look but I have no idea what it might sound like. I also wonder what the UK price might be. http://www.notreble.com/buzz/2014/08/29/fender-introduces-classic-player-rascal-bass/
8. Thanks for that BassBunny, that's what I thought. Unfortunately, my upcoming wedding means that I can't get one right now. I hope they still have them at this price next April.
9. For £197, the black one seems like a steal. I like the look of these and would like to tr one out. Has anyone got one and could give a review?
10. Sad news. A great player.
11. Very nice. The black pick guard definitely does it for me. After being a P bass man for more years than I care to admit, I'm hankering after a jazz myself.
12. Great story Mark, you must feel like you're getting a limb back. The Limelight is a stunner. It's just a shame that my pension and lump sum don't come through until February or it would be mine. The for sale section will see some action from me then though. You don't need a GLWTS, I doubt it will be here tomorrow.
13. Beautiful. I've never seen a neck like that.
14. Sounds like you have another great project on the go. I liked the Slash Sitar sound. Good luck with it.
15. GH used a P bass when I saw him with DP in the '70's. Roger Glover was using a Rick when I saw him pre GH days.
16. Smoke plenty of weed and go with the flow. Worked for me.
17.
The best thing that came from breaking my wrist was taking up the eub then the DB, do it!
Stop it Pete, you've got me thinking. I started on DB as a teen, maybe I should try an EUB as an arthritic old git. Oh hell, I can feel the " there's a thought" building up. (Wonders off to for sale threads).
18.
I don't need one, I don't need one, I don't need one, I don't need one, I don't need one, I don't need one, I don't need one,I don't need one,
So then is it being delivered?
19.
I don't remember reading Gerry Mcavoy being considered (not mentioned in his book IIRC). However, Rory Gallagher was a contender to replace Mick Taylor, even jamming with the band for a few days. This is mentioned in Gerry's book. I'm glad he didn't, as a big Rory fan, I hate to think what we might have missed out on. Saying that, you never know if he did, he may still have been around, which would have been the greatest gift.
I'm glad Rory didn't sell out to join the Stones. He was too good for them. Thanks for the heads up on Jerry's book, I'll have to get that.
20. If this bass had come up for sale after my wedding, it would have been mine. Keep it safe for me. you've got to love a slag.
21. I've seen Pete Academy playing with Nearly Dan. Great player and a really nice guy. I wanted to nick his Roscoe though.
22.
Hmmm might check those out. Got addresses?
Sorry, I didn't get the addresses. I just came across them while shopping with the OH.
23. Just a thought but Japan websites might be able to help. Basses can be imported to Thailand quickly. It might be worth looking at some of them.
24. I found a couple of guitar shops in Bangkok. They had the usual Fender and Gibson offerings and some Parker Fly basses. The prices were a lot better than here in the UK, VAT being only 7% and import duties much cheaper.
