Thanks for that BassBunny, that's what I thought. Unfortunately, my upcoming wedding means that I can't get one right now. I hope they still have them at this price next April.

GH used a P bass when I saw him with DP in the '70's. Roger Glover was using a Rick when I saw him pre GH days.

Just a thought but Japan websites might be able to help. Basses can be imported to Thailand quickly. It might be worth looking at some of them.

I found a couple of guitar shops in Bangkok. They had the usual Fender and Gibson offerings and some Parker Fly basses. The prices were a lot better than here in the UK, VAT being only 7% and import duties much cheaper.
