1. Some fine basses there Eric, good article too.
2. Sounds great to me. Lovely tone.
3. When I was in a covers band in the '70's, we occasionally did two 90 minute gigs in different venues. Lunch time in one venue, break down and travel to the next gig for 5pm. Out by 9.30am for the first and getting home about 2am. Some weeks we would play 9 gigs in 7 days while holding down full time jobs. I'm knocking on 60 now and I couldn't imagine doing that now.
4. My all black one is nice but this lot blow it out of the water looks wise. King Tut, your one is a beauty.
5. That looks great, as does the rest of the bass. Lovely.
6. King Tut. I was just about post the same question. Do you know what size allen key is needed to adjust the saddle heights? My bridge has the locking screws missing.
7. A quick look at Andy Baxter's website shows a decent '87 T-bird going for less than 1200 quid. Tell the seller to jog on.
8. Hi, I'm Sam and have taken to hiding basses at work so that STMBO doesn't know I've bought another. I also have an amp there so I can play when everyone else has gone home. I am worried what's going to happen when I retire and have to clear out the warehouse at work and bring everything home. It might mean moving to a bigger house.
9. Just checked this out on No Treble. Versatile but must weigh a ton. Would be great if I had 4 arms and 20 fingers. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pfvQmDhN9pU
10. Sad to hear that Bobby has passed away at the age of 70. Another great lost.
11. Sounds great Mark, just like a classic Jazz should. That Fender logo makes all the difference.
12. I love the attention to detail on this Mark, the corner of the scratch plate in particular. Enjoy your new old bass.
13. Doh. I just bought a Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 and I'm disappointed in the crap that I can get compered to what Apple Apps can offer. I dislike the Apple ethos but I want one for the apps. The Moog apps look right up my street, Anyone want to buy a cheap Samsung?
14. That is one beautiful bass. I love the body on this. I can't see it hanging about too long. GLWTS and have a bump on me.
15. That sounds lovely with the flats on, great tone.
16. Engraved scratchplates sounds like a winning idea. Good luck with that.
17. Good man, a break can give you some focus on what you want to do. Have fun and enjoy learning new things. You know it makes sense.
18. Very nice. What pickups are in there?
19. Cracking bass mate. Watch you don't ding it.
20. Wow5. That's a bit nice. Good score.
21.
While we're on, did I ever post this clip from a gig I did a year or so ago? I probably did, but I'm going to post it again. http://youtu.be/j1Ys3SBl17g?t=5m59s
Good video but John Illsley has let himself go a bit.
22. Signed.
23. Stevie, got the download and just loving it. Congratulations on a great album. I can't stop playing it. I love the whole vibe of it. Superb playing all round. I can hear some Yes influence on it, right up my street. Well done that man, sorry, that band.
24.
What are Tribute news stories?
Last night's Sky news, today's press. Duh.
