1.
Has anyone successfully put the kettle in the fridge yet? You know, you get up in the morning, make a cuppa & get the milk out the fridge whilst you wait on the kettle boiling. Pour the water in the cup & walk to the fridge to put the milk back. I haven't as yet, but I've looked at the fridge door a couple of times with kettle in hand.
No but I have tried to put the butter into the dish washer.
2. That's a great build diary and what a cool bass.
3.
Always on the look out for what is happening in the super light bass department. What is the make of bass you are due to take delivery of?. The one positive is that my shoulder issues really limit the GAS I experience regarding basses. Anything over 7 lb is of little interest
It's a Bass Collection SGC Nanyo SB310 which I am buying for Psycoandy for this forum. He's kindly holding it for me until I get back from holiday in Prague next week.
4. Another sufferer here. I have RA and Spondolosis in the 3rd 4th and 5th vertebrate. I gave up playing for a couple of years due to the RA causing damage to the bones in my right hand. I had surgery last year and had a metal bar inserted with means I have limited movement in the wrist. I used to b e a pick player but now use fingers. I am just about to take delivery of a new bass which weighs in at around 7lb so hopefully I be able to stand up and play again. Good luck with the op and best wishes for a speedy recovery.
5.
Well I would beg to differ. I am as sceptical as the next man about such things, but power cables can make a substantial and substantive difference to the sound of various kinds of audio equipment. You can argue at a theoretical level about the science all you like, but have any of you ever heard an A/B comparison for yourselves? Power cables, connecting cables and, perhaps more importantly, power supplies can make a profound difference to the overall complexion and quality of the sound. I know it's true because I have heard it with my own ears on more than one occasion. O.K , let the bloodbath begin . I'm back in the Secure Unit on Monday morning , so lets get on with it.
I miss you on Off Topic, I hope you get back there soon. You crack me up, in a nice way.
6.
Sorry, mate, but NO, it won't. This is a ToneCord. You'd need a TasteCord. Your coffee will sound better though.
It might do, it's a kettle lead after all.
7. The snake oil salesmen think we're really stupid. http://www.essential...-cord/index.htm If I use one on my kettle, will my coffee taste better?
8. If I can capture the sound of me chucking up and pooping my pants after seeing that photo, I'm in. Yip, I'm sh*t scared of heights.
9. I loved the sound of the Smiths......until Morrissey started singing.
10. I think you did the right thing Pete, I know you would put the band first. I once broke three ribs a couple of hours before a gig, I fell badly down some stairs. I played sat on a stool, trying to find a comfy position to hold the bass and breath at the same time. The guys in the band carried my gear out for me, the only time they ever did and reminded me for years if thought I was slacking.
11. Good call on the p/g change. Just need to change the neck to maple to make it perfect.
12. That's a very nice looking bass. You're building a lovely family there.
13.
Well, I've gawn done it. Should be here Tuesday... Bit nervy as I'm going on the strength on the demo video alone but I can always return it if it's that bad. Review to follow!
I'm looking forward to your review. I might be in the market for amp shortly if the stars are in the right alignment and this is ticking a lot of boxes for me.
14. Voted. Some great funky vibes going on here, congrats to you all.
15.
I didn't realise it was just the two of them, cos I heard before I saw. He could be playing a kazoo up his ar5e for all I care, it's the sound, the feel and the energy of the tracks I like. I have to agree though, that they may be a one-trick pony. Time well tell.
I have to agree with this. I heard the track first before I knew they were a two piece and liked what they are doing. It may become tiresome if the songs don't live up to the hype.
16. That's a lovely set up.
17. Just like the '75 that I stupidly sold years ago and still miss. Another cracking bass Gary, glad luck with the sale.
18. Mel, you're not making things any easier. It's my favourite colour combo for a pbass too.
19. Gear4music have them at £209. That's a lot of bass for the dosh and they only weigh in at 7lbs. GAS attack (again).
20. Here's a conservative body shape that you might like.
21.
I have a morbid fascination with the place... You can't beat a 70 year old woman dressed as Eminem or the classic shiny, red trackie bottoms with black slip on shoe combo
How much did they want for her?
