I'm on the Status Quo Live album, recorded in Glasgow, 1976. It was recorded over 3 nights and I was at 2 of them. I don't know which night they used but me and a couple of mates managed to blag our way back stage and met the guys after the second night's gig. I met them again a few times after. Lovely guys.

I've had the privilege of playing bass for John Coglhan , Ex Quo drummer. He was as tight as duck's butt, never locked in with anyone like that before.

My playing has definitely improved. During the first lockdown, I was waiting for an operation on my right wrist. It was scheduled for 9th March and was understandably cancelled. I couldn't play for more that a couple of minutes due to RA. Last September, I had the op, they put a bar into my wrist and 12 weeks later I was back on bass. I'm playing for at least an hour a day and enjoying it. This must be the first time they put a bar into a Scotsman and not the other way around. 😀

I remember going to Macari's back in the '70's. I asked to try out a Fender Precision. I was asked if I was buying and replied not today but in the near future. The salesman said no, you can only try if you're buying. Never went back.

I failed last year as I bought a Rick 4003s and an Eppy Vintage Pro in February. Not buying anything this year. I lost a Fender Precision though for 3 months. Found it tonight in my Rick case. This comment might have to be transferred to the You know when you are old thread.

My Thunderbird that's going to the Netherlands is still stuck in the UK. 3 weeks now and no sign of it moving anytime soon according to the buyer.

Just had a look. Still at the hub in the UK. What a nightmare.
