It's funny how we all differ but i thought this one of the most pointless threads on BC. It just seems like moaning for sake of it to me.

So every bass you've ever played has been flawless?
You're a lucky guy.
On my bass playing past, I've played some dogs and some greats. The greats were outstanding which made the dogs seem even worse.
I think that I'm doing a service to the bass playing community if I tell them about the dogs.
Deep Purple, In Rock. Thin Lizzy, Live and Dangerous. Black Sabbath Masters of Reality. Led Zep, PG and I'm another one who forgot Montrose.

There is something odd I was switching browsers an IP addresses to get the votes? oh well they all count regardless who did it
[/quote]
Agreed. I just went back and used the same browser and IP address and it let me have another vote. Something strange going on.
I got the 700th. Yeah.
Just seen the post above, the totals don't match up. WFT? The counter showed I had 700 and 701. Are we losing votes because 2 of us clicked at the same time?
I got banned for growing one on the first day of November by the OH. She hates me with a 'tash and promised to donate if I didn't grow one. £50 going to a good cause.

SO basically your keeping just the body. Prob better selling it and buying a new one. Wd parts necks are nice and so are Allparts ones and little less than the Warmoth ones. but your still speaking of 150 quid or more.

Good call and welcome aboard.
If your going to change it that much, try a second hand Mexican PJ and sell the Squier. Might cost you less.
The first live band I ever saw was Deep Purple at the Green's Playhouse in Glasgow in 1969 at the age of 14. Richie Blackmore trashed a Strat during "Wring That Neck". I was gob smacked and I thought it was great showmanship. After seeing them over the years, it was clear that he was changing to cheap guitars and looked so contrived.
I bet Inti would have called him a clown.
Sorry I'm late to this welcome. Nice to see a legend on board.
Whenever I want to see an honest review of bass gear, you're the man I trust.
I hope you're going to be a regular contributor here.
I gave my '57 RI precision to a luthier in Macclesfield for a set up. He said it would take 2 weeks. It was over a year before I saw it again and he hadn't done a thing to it.
