SO basically your keeping just the body. Prob better selling it and buying a new one. Wd parts necks are nice and so are Allparts ones and little less than the Warmoth ones. but your still speaking of 150 quid or more.

Good call and welcome aboard.
If your going to change it that much, try a second hand Mexican PJ and sell the Squier. Might cost you less.
The first live band I ever saw was Deep Purple at the Green's Playhouse in Glasgow in 1969 at the age of 14. Richie Blackmore trashed a Strat during "Wring That Neck". I was gob smacked and I thought it was great showmanship. After seeing them over the years, it was clear that he was changing to cheap guitars and looked so contrived.
I bet Inti would have called him a clown.
Sorry I'm late to this welcome. Nice to see a legend on board.
Whenever I want to see an honest review of bass gear, you're the man I trust.
I hope you're going to be a regular contributor here.
I gave my '57 RI precision to a luthier in Macclesfield for a set up. He said it would take 2 weeks. It was over a year before I saw it again and he hadn't done a thing to it.

I'll drop him a quick message

You got a death wish?
" Dear Mister Hall,
Can you please make a budget Korean copy of your famous bass so I can sell it within 2 days."
Thanks
Marcus.

Mate, I asked them to change it because I offended myself.

Just noticed this. Great sound Nigel, I'm surprised at the depth of tone from the HB. Dubtastic. The Zulu bass sound as good as it looks. Good job mate.

(We all like Fender's here, except BigRedX who says he doesn't, but is in denial. We're helping him through it)

Well put Nigel. The best musical time for me was when I played for a strong writer but he let me write my own bass lines. Very satisfying when you can put your own stamp on a track.
