I'll be happy with any date as long as my consultant will let me drive again after my wrist op. I'm seeing the occupational therapist on Friday, so hoping for good news. Fingers crossed but that might just be a side effect of the RA. I want to try out different basses to see which would be best suited for me to get back into playing again.

My mate's original '62 P bass in white and rw neck and tort sp. He loaned it to me for my first ever gig in 1969 and I have been lusting after it ever since. Oh, and Martin Turner's '66 Thunderbird. Love the tone he gets from it.

Your stick man is a wimp. My old one has had 4 heart attacks, died twice and is still moaning about the bloody singer being flat. Love him to bits. Hope yours gets well soon, a good one, with a pulse, is hard to find.

When I was gigging, we would hire a PA and sound man as required. Some gigs in London would have an in house PA and monitors but we always would use our own back line and drums. I have gigged with just a DI through the PA and monitors but these were rare occasions.. If I could have gigged without my rig, I would have been a happy bunny. It was no fun lugging a Marshall Superbass MK II head, + a 4x10 and 2x15 cabs and 2 basses + a holdall with mike stands and leads to every gig in the back of my car. You luck bastard Nige.

Great idea. How many stolen basses get reported on this site. Anything that makes it easier to recover one is good in my opinion.

Are these the same tracks as the ones on Spotify? I played them yesterday, loved them and will be getting the album.
