1.
Funny, I thought he overplayed the line just a fraction. Good playing nonetheless
Yeah, another Clutterbuck.
2.
Some great basslines in those songs. And in the live clip of Ashes to Ashes, who was the guy playing the slap-bass line?
Just watching it now and thought the same thing. At last, a tasteful slapper. Nice bass too.
3. What, no Rory Gallagher? A wealth of stuff there.
4. Check out the Google Play site, plenty of good music apps there, Load are free and more to buy. Great phone BTW.
5. I would play this in any band, not just metal, it's stunning. Could imagine the Ox playing one of these. What does it weigh, just being nosey.
6. I already played DB at school, so bass was next on the list and my mate's band needed a bass player. At the time it was Andy Frazer, The Ox, Jack Bruce and Macca that I wanted to sound like. Massive fail.
7. Have you been checked out for RA? If not, get it done.
8. That is one stunning looking bass, I would love to hear it up close and loud. Congrats.
9. I'm with you Clarky, it hurts my eyes. Wastes a good maple neck. IMHO, E I E I O etc.
10. I would love to see the old line up if they played with John Coghlan and Alan Lancaster. In the '90's I played in a Quo tribute band and gigged with Coghlan under the name of Coghlan's Quo, doing all the old toons, Big Fat Mamma, Most of the time , Roadhouse Blue and so on. Lovely guy and pulled in the diehard fans but was still bitter about the direction at Rossi and Parfitt had taken the band.
11. Any update on the [s] nipples [/s] Blog yet?
12. Oh, I won, looking forward to seeing the results.
13. Yeah, I got the gateway message. Seams to be ok now.
14.
So we auditioned some drummers. One was really quite good and we agreed that we'd give him 'the call' after the weekend. Saturday night I get an email from him, saying how much he enjoyed himself and attaching some 'funny images' of himself in womens' underwear. The last shot had him bent over in crutchless knickers. Perhaps it was his way of saying 'No thank you'.
I didn't know that Pete Burns played drums.
15. Your links to the pix are down mate. where are you based? Interested in this.
16.
I'm still going to buy it . I agee with most on here that the internet has diminished it's appeal , but I like a physical magazine - especially for the bog .
Yeah, you can't wipe yourself with an iPad.
17. I played one at Dawsons last year. Very light, neck like a wafer. Sounded really good with lots of tonal variation. I nearly pulled the trigger on one but the RA beat me. I don't think you will be disappointed.
18. IMHO, this sort of question gets into a flame war. IBTL.
19. WTF? Are they having a laugh? I've binned basses in better condition. Bet it plays nice though.
20. My old band used to play at Robin's 2 in the Midlands regularly and being Essex based and having no van, we would hire a trailer and I would tow the gear to the gig. We would always make for the bar on arrival for a swift one before unloading but this time we unloaded first and I parked up in the car park at the rear of the venue. 10 minutes later I went back to get my ciggies from the car and the trailer was gone. Some twunt had nick it. Thank f@ck we unloaded first. To get back to Essex, a punter drove the gear from Dudley to Chelmsford in his transit and wouldn't take any fuel money. What a star.
