1. Well done Flanker, that is a milestone in your recovery. May there be many more.
2. I remember seeing Lindisfarne in the early '70's headlining in at the Green's Playhouse in Glasgow. I was so blown away by the sound from the bass live, I saved up and bought a S/H Rick 4001 fretless 12 months later. BTW, the support band was Genesis who were promoting the Foxtrot album. So, at a guess, it must have been around '72 - '73.
3.
Hi basstech Sorry to hear you are having an issue, that doesn't sound at all right to me and from what you write sounds like a faulty amp unfortunately. I would suggest getting in touch with the shop you bought it from to get it sorted under warranty. Which store was it so I can keep an eye on its progress? Before you do that though where abouts do you have the input gain set? Best way to check this part isn't wrong is by plugging your bass directly into the amp, turning the input gain up whilst playing hard until the peak light is flashing, then backing it off a little. It's important to get the gain structure right to achieve the best tone/volume etc. I personally don't think you'd need the SansAmp in the chain due to the APM/TubeTone etc. TBH Apologies if you've already done this and I hope I'm not telling you how to "suck eggs"
Great PR, I am really impressed. This is the way forward in customer service. I wish more companies had this attitude.
4. This is identical to the first cab is ever had in '69, I wish I still had it. Beautiful. Good luck with the sale ( not that you'll need it).
5. Could you post some more pix while I nip out to get some tissues.
6. I hope the gig went well and you're gonna keep this. If it were mine, I'd miss it too much if I sold it.
7. Rick, that looks great, I like the swap shop build method. Might give it a go.
8. Suzie and my old band used to use the same rehearsal studios in Chelmsford. Always supportive and a nice lady. Jammed with her ex Lenny and Bill Legend with her daughter on BV's. Good times.
9.
Been playing it all day & i'm in love with it
This might be the answer for me. My RA is stopping me playing bass but a bass synth would work.

Please make public, I wanna drool.
11. I've had gigs like this. My Marshall head packed up at the sound check at one gig. I had to ID into the desk with nothing but inaudible foldback and no IEM. Kinda focused the concentration and cured the constipation in one go but it was a great gig.
12. Thanks for the fastest deal I've done on BC. Lovely bass and well looked after and Burg is a gent. Good luck with the new baby, I hope it's going to be a bass player too. Sam
13.
I remember the nack radius thing very strongly actually.
Are we still talking bass necks here?
14. I'm glad all the sales are going well but I hope you've got a keeper. If so, what is it, as I'm a nosey git..
15. I'll have some of what you've been smokin'.
16. PM'd regarding the Godman acoustic.
17.
Unless there's some specific reason why he needs an acoustic I would say that a cheap acoustic bass will probably put him off bass for life.
I know what you mean but the school don't do one to one teaching, imagine 10 practice amps all blasting bum notes for a hour. Hence, the acoustic route.
18. My mate has asked me to look out for a cheap acoustic bass for his lad as he's getting lessons at school but I've no idea what I'm looking for. Any help welcome, BTW under £75 only.
19.
I had this exact problem, i've just downloaded opera mini from the ovi store for free and it let me sign in straight away. Matt
Downloaded Opera, sorted. Thanks.
20. As it says above. I'm using a Nokia X6 and when I try to sign in, nothing happens for a bit then I get jumped down to the bottom of the screen. No option to sign in that I can see. It used to work but I recently cleared the cookies on the phone and I have not been able to log on since. Any clues?
21.
She's home tomorrow, just a short visit to see her Mum on her 80th. So she'll be home before the bass gets here Luckily she's very understanding usually
Bloody hell, your missus is 80? How old's her Mum?
22. Loved Gerry's playing, saw him dozens of times when he played with Rory. He was a big influence in my playing style.
