Looking good Dave,more photos please.

I had a fretless Rickenbacker 4001 in 1973. Maybe I was the second person to use one.

In the late '80's I saw some of the guys from the Climax Blues Band backing a female singer at a nightclub in Stafford. The band played a couple of song on their own then the singer made her entrance from the back of the club, singing into a radio mic and dancing towards the stage. About 6 feet from the stage she slipped on a spilt drink and landed on her arse, the radio mic flew out of her hand and hit a punter at the bar on the back of the head. The band had to stop playing as they were pissing themselves and help the poor woman off the floor and onto the stage. The only person not laughing was the guy that got hit with the mic.

I now own this Roger Waters '70's P bass built by cd_Dave. Hope he don't mind me using his photos, far better that any I could take. It plays great, looks fab and I am mad for it.

I took up DB at the age of 14 after playing piano for 4 years as I preferred the sound, bass guitar followed a year later. Still hanging in there. If I couldn't play bass anymore then it's back to keys for me.

Just found this and I'm knocked out, ace. Why were you lot not about when I lived nearby and went to all the Bees home games? More vids please and get up north for a gigs.

I am a Fender nut and I like the look but not the price. I just wish that Fender would have had the balls to bring out a brand new design to mark this anniversary. Something that says that was our history, this is our future. Take the best of the past and design a bass that other manufacturers would say, damn, wish we had thought of that, just like 60 years ago. I know it won't happen as Leo got it right first time round. .

Like this a lot, I would come to see you live if you can let me know when your gigging in the NW. The other half is now asking why I don't play stuff like this rather than " the load of headbanging crap" that I play.
