1. Bump for the only bass that has ever given me a semi. Stunning.
2.
Did i just imagine there was going to be a a bass bash today? No reports or photos yet or is there no broadband in the borders.
I think I woke them up.

4. This is good advice. As I said in another post,I work of a courier company and know what can happen. Please don't cut corners. Package it the way you would like receive it.
5. I read the ad as saying that the case is included in the sale and unless otherwise stated, would expect it to arrive in good condition as well. I have sold a few guitars and basses on the bay and always packaged them well but then again, I work for a courier co. and know what a bunch of ***** they are.
6. I have had the same bass for the last 16 years, a USA '57RI and never thought of selling even tho' it's not been played much. Then I found Basschat. Gave me bloody GAS. I even tried to sell it but I had to withdraw it. It just felt wrong listing it in the first place. It's sad to be attached to a bass but I'm a soppy old Hector. It's a keeper until the next GAS attack or the RA over takes me.
7.
Hi, I've been playing guitar for 5 years and I'm fairly adept at it, I want to try another instrument now and ive decided on bass. I'm starting a band with friends and I want a fat rich sound not too trebly that will punch through and really fill out space. If a bassist taking up guitar asked me a similiar question I'd put them onto a Les Paul so what's the bass world got to offer to that will do that? I'm thinking of pairing my new bass with an orange tiny terror 1000watt head if that makes a difference and my budget will be about £800 for the bass
Buy my USA Fender '57 RI if you like the road worn/relic look with a great tone/grunt. Well, it's worth a try.
8. I think it's stunning but I would be afraid to fart in the same room as it in case I damaged the finish.
9.
It used to be across the thigh as I thought that was cool but it's got higher. For a long time now (years) I have it so the strings go across the fly area. I think because I got into bad habits in the early days they've proven tough to break
They may be bad habits but they don't make you blind.
10. I saw some of it and was glad to see that he didn't slap all the way through, that's why he was out of his comfort zone.
11. I'm just waiting for the Sanatogen gig to come along.
12.
I have roto sound and fender endorsements, I don't use fender stuff apart from my CIJ jazz which I had before the endorsement. I love roto strings so that's good. It's handy too, strings are expensive!
That sounds like the ideal situation to me and, yes, when I was a young 'un, I would have endorsed anything if it was free.
13. That, Dear Sir, is all down to morals. How much they paying?
14. My gob has never been so smacked!!
15. Closed my eyes and I was back in the Greens Playhouse 1974. Great playing guys and a great bass sound Craig, Respect Sir.
16. Got me too, I thought F*ck me - already!!
17. Hi, I am 55 and have been an alcoholic for - sorry wrong site. Hi, I am 55 and have been playing bass on and off for 40 years. I was playing in blues/rock bands in the '70's in Glasgow then London but gave it up when the 1st wife came along. I gave the synth a try in the '80's but soon went back to bass. During the '90's I got back into live gigs with an Indie band who just miss out on a contract with a couple of labels when the singer/songwriter in the band got serious stage fright and couldn't cope with live gigs anymore. I left as i didn't want to be stuck indoors but love live playing. Later in the '90's joined a tribute band for a laugh and stayed on for 5 years until love struck and I moved to The North West. At the moment I am doing gentle practise after 4 years of not playing due to arthritis. I am not good at practise for the sake of it but if I have a new project, I give 100% until I have it nailed. Love to get locked in with a drummer and jump about a bit. Have I rambled on too much?
18.
I feel it necessary to mention that my L-1000 was built in 1980 because it was one of the first G&L basses ever built and therefore it proves beyond doubt that I have the largest swinging dick out of all the G&L fanboys.
Love it.
19. Dood, that blow me away. It's an amazing bass and the playing not to shabby.
20.
As the market is so slow at the moment, I will withdraw this soon and wait for better days. Bump
Now Withdrawn
