  1. the finish looks a bit rough, I'd send it back.
  2. No worries, just googled it. In the diary now.
  3. Cool. I'll try to make it.
  4. When is the Manchester Bass Show Andy? Might bring an empty gig bag for a quick getaway.
  5. I've just ordered an Ashdown Tone Pocket, I give a review next week when it arrives. I'll be using Phil Jones headphones with it. Looking forward to hearing the Rick and T-bird through them.
  6. I bought one from here last month. It's definitely a keeper.
  7. I was in Stratford-Upon-Avon today and did think about visiting BD but it would have ended in divorce. I've bought 2 basses already this year.
  8. That is one fine looking bass. Been to Bass direct by any chance?
  9. Greg Lake anyone? The voice of Prog for me and what a voice.
  10. Looks like the two Thunderbirds are high fiving themselves.
  11. First Concert - Deep Purple. the In Rock tour 1969 Last Gig- Martin Turner, Ex Wishbone Ash, September 2019 Best Concert- Pink Floyd. Earles Court 1994 Worst Concert - Hawkwind. The PA blew up during the first number, gig over and some tw*t nicked my leather jacket. Loudest gig- Deep Purple 1969 Seen the most- Rory Gallagher, 12 times. Most Surprising - Earth, Wind and Fire, Wembley late '70's. I was a rock fan but they changed everything I thought I knew about music. Next gig, TBC. Wish I'd seen- Hendrix.
  12. The Eagles blew Neil Young off the stage when I saw them back in the early '70's in Glasgow. Young kept stopping songs to complain about the monitor sound and he looked like he was off his face. His set was cut short thank F***.
  13. I had a bar put in my right wrist 7 years ago due to RA and last February had to get it taken out as a couple of the screws had come loose. It was giving me agony. I'm now waiting to get a new bar to be put in. As a Scotsman, I've been chucked out of a few bars, never had 2 inserted though.
  14. That looks fantastic Tom. Well done.
  15. You're an absolute star Karl, thanks again mate. I'm totally in love this Rick.
  16. You're not wrong Mark, I couldn't resist it at that price. It is a thing of beauty and plays so well.
  17. Just had this delivered by our resident gear tart Karl to my hotel room in Newcastle. Blown away by the bass and Karl's 50 cash back to buy the strings of my preference. What a diamond geezer.
  18. I'm in. Looking forward to this. The last one was a blast.
  19. Geedy Who?😉
  20. I remember that one Andy, played one years ago. Sounded good and well built as I remember.
  21. Yeah, no 3 whatsamything bridge on here. This works.
  22. Now that I like. Not seen one before. Get behind me GAS.
  23. It's the pickups on this version that do it for me. '60's sounding, Martin Turner tone on a budget , if your a Wishbone Ash fan. ( Which I am).
