  1. Looks like the two Thunderbirds are high fiving themselves.
  2. First Concert - Deep Purple. the In Rock tour 1969 Last Gig- Martin Turner, Ex Wishbone Ash, September 2019 Best Concert- Pink Floyd. Earles Court 1994 Worst Concert - Hawkwind. The PA blew up during the first number, gig over and some tw*t nicked my leather jacket. Loudest gig- Deep Purple 1969 Seen the most- Rory Gallagher, 12 times. Most Surprising - Earth, Wind and Fire, Wembley late '70's. I was a rock fan but they changed everything I thought I knew about music. Next gig, TBC. Wish I'd seen- Hendrix.
  3. The Eagles blew Neil Young off the stage when I saw them back in the early '70's in Glasgow. Young kept stopping songs to complain about the monitor sound and he looked like he was off his face. His set was cut short thank F***.
  4. I had a bar put in my right wrist 7 years ago due to RA and last February had to get it taken out as a couple of the screws had come loose. It was giving me agony. I'm now waiting to get a new bar to be put in. As a Scotsman, I've been chucked out of a few bars, never had 2 inserted though.
  5. That looks fantastic Tom. Well done.
  6. You're an absolute star Karl, thanks again mate. I'm totally in love this Rick.
  7. You're not wrong Mark, I couldn't resist it at that price. It is a thing of beauty and plays so well.
  8. Just had this delivered by our resident gear tart Karl to my hotel room in Newcastle. Blown away by the bass and Karl's 50 cash back to buy the strings of my preference. What a diamond geezer.
  9. I'm in. Looking forward to this. The last one was a blast.
  10. I remember that one Andy, played one years ago. Sounded good and well built as I remember.
  11. Yeah, no 3 whatsamything bridge on here. This works.
  12. Now that I like. Not seen one before. Get behind me GAS.
  13. It's the pickups on this version that do it for me. '60's sounding, Martin Turner tone on a budget , if your a Wishbone Ash fan. ( Which I am).
  14. A white one may be on the cards after my wrist op. I can't put this down, It sounds and plays so well. This was the best 300 quid I've spent on a bass.
  15. Just bought this from our very own @JPJ. Was delivered to the hotel I'm staying at in Geordie Land. Playing it through my Vox headphone amp and Phil Jones cans, it sounds thunderous. Can't wait to get home tomorrow and fire up my Ashdown ABM 500 and scare the crap out of the neighbours.
  16. Cheers Reggaebass. I'll just keep giving my collection dusted for the time being.
