As title suggests, wondered if anybody uses any other place to buy/sell or trade effects pedals other than on this beautiful website or on ebay?? Cheers
sound on sound classifieds and the good old friday free ad
All good suggestions however all still a bit big. The smallest ones all designed to fit at least 3 pedals. I guess I could fashion a platform for them to sit and easy enough to cram in a gig bag.
you could always buy another pedal????

as a footnote , in defense of the poor outdated (thanks to the MP201) CP251, its a GREAT unit!!! i recommend any mf101 owners to keep their eyes peeled for a used one, they really go hand in hand with each other!(or indeed any fooger!) can get a great reverse sweep and a great almost auto wah effect, not to mention LFO wobble the 4 way multiple is great for simultaneously controlling the cutoff, resonance and env amount using just the one expression pedal.... i could go on but...........
Ha! Picked mine up from a Shop on eBay... They are asking £300 BIN... But they are accepting 'Best Offer'... And I can confirm they accept considerably less!!! Here - http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Moog-MP-201-Multiped...=item3a5b998c34 - Came with a US 2 pin plug, but a £4 US-UK adapter from Maplins sorted that (Or you can buy a replacement UK one from DV247). If your anywhere near Nottingham soon your welcome to come see what it can do with Moogerfoogers... Shep
bless ya, thats really decent of you m8.. i shall bear that in mind i darent look at that link though... not this side of xmas at least..... (well maybe just a "little" peek!)
The MP201 is a crazy beast... With so much it can do. After weeks with it, I'm only using 2 of it's preset banks out of the 99 odd in there... Soooo versatile. My main bank of settings is - 3 channels with the FreqBox (Frequency by Expression, Waveform by Triangle LFO and Env' Amount by Saw Down LFO) and the 4th channel on my RingMod (Frequency by Expression). My Low Pass Filter has it's cutoff controlled by a separate EP-2. The combinations of sound from that bank of controls alone are endless!!!
your REALLY not helping my G.A.S !!!!!!!!!
Not carried away... Controllers are important! I use 3 foogers, controlled by an MP-201 and a single separate EP-2... The MP-201 gets used a lot for it's controllable LFO abilities (driving the FreqBox with different LFO's makes the pedal mental!)... I think external control units and life manipulation should be a whole blog post on it's own! Shep
theres certainly enough to write about to warrant a blog of its own............... dan???? lol MP201 is next on my list, i use a CP251/EP2s to keep my foogers talking to each other at the minute.. which is fine, they do have some interesting conversations but my feet cant always keep up with them!!
New blog titled 'Implementation of Modular Synthesis for the Bass Guitarist'. Got any additions I should be including? Dan
hi dan credit to you for another great blog m8 only additions i would make would be the mention of a few more iron ether products: oxide fuzz , cygnet tap tempo tremelo, and the soon to be released bubble chamber ( i believe nicknamed "the dubstep pedal") & tetravox octaver.. this guy is innovative, hes changing the game with his line of effects in my humble opinion... while you didnt want to mention any phasers id happily mention the moog mf103 which kinda opens up the CV can of worms... how foogers interact with each other (as you well know) is incredible, which kinda leads me onto controllers : MP201 & CP251 am i getting carried away???
