1. I will open it up again and look for a loose wire but sure there was nothing obvious, will also try a blast of canned air in the pots and see how that go's before taking it to a tech. Thanks for the advice all
2. Hi All, Happened again last night at band practice, however the wiggling and pulling brought it back to life again, no crackling involved just came back to life. Could this be a capacitor problem or something, will take it to a tech to check out but am interested as to what this may be. Regards Rob
3. Hi all thanks for the advice, i think something must be wrong with the j tune / volume pot, after moving if backward and forward and pulling it up and down a bit (i know it does not move that way) it has come back to life again. Cannot send back as maker is in the USA, however he has kindly offered to pay a tech in the uk to fix it so great customer service from those guys. On the question of the volume decreasing as i turn up the j pickup the answer is no, was only killing the entire signal when at full volume. this same problem happened at a band practice once before, is it just dirt in the pots? When i opened it up i found some small would chips in the cavity. regards Rob
4. I have an issue with my new Bill Nash pb57 bass. Plugged in today and nothing coming out at all, removed scratch plate and looked at electrics that look good and squirted some switch cleaner in both the stacked pots and put back together, the the front pickup volume and tone is working fine now, however when i roll the front off and roll the back J pickup up i get nothing at all, no signal crackling or anything. There is another strange thing that is also happening, with the front pickup volume turned up, if i turn the rear J pickup up to full it also cuts the signal completely. The controls are stacked volume and tone for the P pickup and the j pickup. Does anyone know what may be causing this issue? Kind Regards Rob
5. Thanks guys, i was and still am so chuffed never win anything.
6. Hi All, I won this in bass magazine and i cannot believe how good it is, yes it looks like its 60 years old rather than 3 months old which it is. Would not normally go for this kind of bass but i have to admit i cannot put it down, think this one may be a stayer, will look a little out of place against the Warwick Dolphin pro 1 and the MK Alembic but the sound is awesome. Other must own one of these come and show. This one is a PB-57 Sorry for the poor quality pics:

12. The bass has a through neck but is wood but gives the bass a little more warmth. The top is american walnut and the electronics and parts are status. If i can give any more details then let me know. Cheers Rob
13. Anyone want to make me an offer or a trade, Warwick Corvette $$ German made or Sandberg (money your way). Needs to have a symmetrical headstock like Warwick, Jaydee, Alembic, some Sandbergs. I do not understand why but just don't like the fender type headstock. PM me for offers or trades. Kind Regards Rob

19. Hi All, Brand new in the packaging they came from, directly from Status. Brought about 3 weeks ago but brought the wrong gauge silly me. These retail as £17:99 once Status add the 20% vat at the checkout. £12 if picked up in Oxford area, could post but would put price up to £14. Cheers All, Rob
20. Nice Bass, Should not take too long to shift at that price. Regards Rob
21. Hi, I lifting the strings a little at the nut using the adjustment on each string, just one turn and its slapping a good line now.
22. This is my Washburn Status 1000 series S70 in trans red, great condition for its age with only one ding (see pics)and a couple of marks on the back of the bass which the camera cannot pick up. Status sound at an affordable price. Comes with hard case also, Oxford area. Might also consider a trade for a German Warwick corvette $$ (even willing to spend a little too, but not too much).
