  1. The tuners are reverse types rather than the 70’s type so probably replacements back plate has the plastic cushion but no F stamp. It would be interesting to see some shots of the wiring and pickups.
  2. I got this for a project now completed it is in excellent condition and comes with original box. Price includes UK post. Tracking is much better than the original pedals and it’s polyphonic unlike some of its competitors. You can get some lovely and wacky sounds from funk to prog and anywhere in between.
  3. Markbass Traveler TRV102 P4 400 Watt 2x10 Cabinet 4ohms. I bought it recently for some bigger outdoor gigs that have fallen through so it’s surplus to requirements. Italian version in excellent condition. Pickup preferred but I can post in the UK at buyer’s cost. It’s the 4 ohm version so you get the full power of your LM head through this little cab.
  4. Great midi controller and synth - a K Station with an audio interface built in. See review here - https://www.soundonsound.com/reviews/novation-x-station-25?amp Comes with PSU and original box. Very good condition.

  5. Nord Electro 2 61 Virtual Electromechanical Keyboard This keyboard is in excellent condition and very useful for reproducing authentic organ and piano sounds. It features a waterfall keyboard which provides an excellent playing action. Sounds include classic Hammond, Wurlitzers and Rhodes as well as Clavinet and acoustic grand pianos. There is a full featured effects and eq section and it has both midi snd USB connectivity. The keyboard functions as it ought to and is in lovely cosmetic condition. Purchased recently for a studio project and now surplus to requirements. It comes with a gigbag but this isn’t an official Nord one. UK only. Pickup preferred but I will post at buyer’s expense. From Nord - The best emulations of traditional electromechanical keyboards in a compact and lightweight instrument. Specs here - https://www.nordkeyboards.com/products/nord-electro-2

  6. I think it’s happening in every walk of life and online interaction. We have feedback forms in the NHS now and I get them from the bank, estate agents blah blah this cheery ‘How did we do? Please reach out and share your experience so we can improve our service’. To which I generally delete the email. Data gathering - the curse of the 21st century 🤣
  7. The last of my Precision type instruments for sale because I can no longer manage the wider 70’s style F type necks. This is a Vintage V4 Tony Butler Signature Bass. This series of basses was created by Vintage to recreate the classic look of the 70’s era Precision on a budget. The hardware is by Wilkinson and the fit and finish is of a very high quality. The bass was purchased as a back up to my old (now sold) Fender black and maple ‘79 Precision. The classic JJ Burnell, Roger Waters, Bruce Foxton and Tony Butler P style bass. You can of course spend a fortune on an old Fender or get this for much less and not be worried about it in the back of your car after the gig! The bass weighs 4.1kgs and nut width is just under 42mm. It’s a fairly shallow shaped neck and balances well. The pickups and hardware do their job well but could be great for a modding platform. The neck has a suitably retro look with a yellow tint and a glossy but not sticky finish. It’s nice and straight with good frets and working trussrod. It’s currently wearing a set of heavier gauge round wound D’Addarios. It’s in excellent condition apart from a couple of dings and scratches on the back sustained at some point in transit. See pics. There is no gigbag or case so I’d prefer pickup but I’m happy to box up and send this at buyer’s cost. These are great value instruments as a primary or backup instrument. Sorry no trades.
  8. Ha ha yes I just got a weird email from them with the swapped P bass pics asking me if I’m satisfied with their customer service! Well it took three emails to convince them and I’m sure others will have emailed them. They ought to put up some decent pics if they really want a sale.
  9. They have amended it - ‘78 https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/175851527396?hash=item28f1915ce4%3Ag%3Aj14AAOSwB4lk0ZhR&amdata=enc%3AAQAIAAAAwEdPK4xAbTUjoq8ompMmPhUEeWRrPmrK2kI9SY8l%2BHFkdHMlhqTgFwNBLksMpqX49WdBSgDwJR5L79GhQal8otg4hFZO3mMvwysyz04hx367hlw0V%2BfnbA2d2Z71%2BZkNpOj1ylHzuxsOGw2TsoxYI1Mpv5MO3aFtH0lsyj53dy5ykf9gp1jeEWIMDb8F0FtprWHo3aAFX9fD0vLX0iD46fuVbAnm8jJzgbRYeXC3WigNcAGbIYBKHJoix117BA5boA%3D%3D|tkp%3ABk9SR5yMtsi6Yg&LH_ItemCondition=3000 and RW https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/175852981025?hash=item28f1a78b21%3Ag%3ALCAAAOSwVmVk0ung&amdata=enc%3AAQAIAAAAsKMDOpLTbfrsTu7vQ8t%2F%2FwNBbeWSRKKJS3RxsESSCcpgWjVA9ysYVAMHVD6xnQvZTXmTzD5LsWvWAvQ7Tx7%2F%2BGr38sxldtyvJqVBreDFShqVn6BW3bqEDobBzS9WrjpDIxF%2BSbs1A9CklWyEf36cw3m%2BIzNl0fWfWuAi75EsOa8kY%2Bdluws85PcMWJQPvbThTyR0jfOjYLXMorI5oZF%2FQggVPvyfqerCWfkJFZ1gcJJV|tkp%3ABk9SR8D4waK7Yg&LH_ItemCondition=3000
  10. None at all, although it’s a light bass the body is quite dense and of course the tuner placement helps too.
  11. Sterling By Musicman StingRay Short-scale SS4 Bass in Olympic White The bass is in excellent condition, barely a mark on it and plays and sounds great. I bought this to help my recovery process by using a short-scale bass before moving to a long scale following surgery on my fretting hand. This is now surplus to requirements as I am using my Sterling US bass now - which you can see in the pics for comparison. The Shorty comes in Olympic white and has a nice new Fender gig bag with it. They retail at around £600-£749 online and are definitely a step up from the Sterling SUB series. I also owned a US Musicman StingRay SS and this compares very favourably. Check out Lowend Lobster’s review on YouTube too. I can post in the UK only for an extra £18. No trades sorry just want to get some money back. Pickup and chat welcome too. It weighs 3.8kgs by the way. Blurb from Sterling - Body: Mahogany Neck: Maple Neck attachment: Bolt-on Fretboard: Rosewood Inlays: White Dots 22 Medium frets Nut width: 38 mm (1.5") Scale length: 762 mm (30") Fretboard radius: 240 mm (9.45") Pickguard: Parchment Pickup: Music Man Designed Neodymium Humbucker (bridge) Electronics: Passive Controls: Volume (Push / Push), Tone, Rotary (parallel, true single- coil, Series) Bridge: Music Man Designed Hardware finish: Chrome Colour: Olympic White Original Strings: Ernie Ball 2852 Regular Slinky Short Scale Bass
  12. It looks like it’s got a brass nut - also a sign it’s a RW sig. See pic taken from the Fender Bass Book of a late 70’s Precision logo
  13. Yes the logo on that is totally wrong for a 70’s bass I’ve asked them to confirm what makes them think it’s a ‘78
  14. This is what I got back - Hi, This is a Fender 1978 Precision Bass MN Black, the Roger Waters sig model just looks very similar to it.
  15. Exactly
  16. Wrong logo, non original pick-up, scratchplate and bridge. It’s from a reputable dealer but this looks all wrong to me - more like a MIM Roger Waters signature…. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/175851527396?hash=item28f1915ce4%3Ag%3Aj14AAOSwB4lk0ZhR&amdata=enc%3AAQAIAAAAwEdPK4xAbTUjoq8ompMmPhUEeWRrPmrK2kI9SY8l%2BHFkdHMlhqTgFwNBLksMpqX49WdBSgDwJR5L79GhQal8otg4hFZO3mMvwysyz04hx367hlw0V%2BfnbA2d2Z71%2BZkNpOj1ylHzuxsOGw2TsoxYI1Mpv5MO3aFtH0lsyj53dy5ykf9gp1jeEWIMDb8F0FtprWHo3aAFX9fD0vLX0iD46fuVbAnm8jJzgbRYeXC3WigNcAGbIYBKHJoix117BA5boA%3D%3D|tkp%3ABk9SR5yMtsi6Yg&LH_ItemCondition=3000 I’ve emailed them and asked I’m sure it’s a Fender RW sig and as such worth about £650.
  17. Byron bought my old microKORG synth. Quick payment and great communication - many thanks!
  18. I bought this at the beginning of July to compare with my Moog synth. I have previously owned Moog Taurus pedals and a Minitaur and believe me this does a fantastic job and nails the power and tone of the original. This one has been plugged in for a couple of sessions and is now sitting idle in my gear cupboard because I prefer the flexibility of my much more expensive Mother 32. It can do the traditional bass pedal sounds as well as prog and big synth filter sweeps, etc. It also has a bigger range to the Minitaur so you can just about get away with lead synth sounds on it. It is like new and comes with all packaging. Post in the UK included too.

  19. A quick and easy deal with Paul, who picked up my Precision bitsa and chatted about all things bass before heading off to play a gig. Credit to Basschat, many thanks!
  20. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/225697573409 This bass is nothing to do with me however I have one in the same finish and it’s a fantastic little bass. Unfortunately it looks to have a home made scratchplate. It is a very rare Ric model, I wouldn’t sell mine. Price is rather high but if you want one desperately you could always make an offer. 3000 short scales have become quite collectible thanks to the Mani connection. I know a couple of people on the forum who have asked me about mine. Now is your opportunity to buy one (if you have deep pockets).
  21. Korg microKorg Synth/Vocoder Another of my mini keys synths used whilst recovering from hand surgery. Apparently this model has been manufactured by Korg for over 20 years and as such is the longest running synth continuously produced by a single company! The synth is not a toy and has some great features - it can emulate classic synth sounds and music genres and is fully programmable with a full effects section. The vocoder is excellent and easy to set up - the original mic is included and works fine. The unit can be used with batteries or the included PSU. It’s light and portable and is great for using as a midi module for bass pedal triggers, etc. Cosmetically it is faded in parts and there are dark patches where stickers were attached by the original owner - the wooden end cheeks have some bumps and scuffs to the varnish. The keyboard, fascia and controls work perfectly and it sounds as it ought to. It’s a great little synth for a pro looking to expand their sound arsenal but also for a beginner as there are lots of online tutorials as it’s been around for such a long time. No trades price includes UK delivery.
  22. A reluctant sale but needs must - selling my late 70’s Fender Precision ‘bitsa’ bass. Put together by myself using all Fender parts sourced online and from this forum. Sadly the P bass neck profile no longer suits me following the recent op on my fretting hand so I’m playing slimmer necked Musicman US Sterlings these days. Hopefully continued physio will enable me to play wider necked basses again and I still have my faithful JV Precision and my old Tele Bass to keep me company when that time comes. About the bass - neck is from a 1979 US Precision and has a lovely maple board. The person I bought it from also sold me the neck plate and black neck cushion, all from the same bass. The tuners and string retainer are original to the bass. The nut has been replaced with a brass one. The body I bought from here and it’s an early noughties late 90’s MIJ Fender body. Nice and light and probably made of alder the Fender Japan pickup and electrics are original to that body too. The bridge is also from a Japanese Fender, the scratchplate is aftermarket but I also have the white original MIJ one which I can include. The bass has no case but I should have a gig bag knocking around for it. The body and neck match up better than many late 70’s Fender I’ve owned and at 4.2kgs it’s much lighter than the basses from that era too. Trussrod works as it ought to, frets are in great shape, neck nice and straight with very few dings (see pics). Currently strung with D’Addario round wounds. It sounds like any great Precision bass ought to, played with a pick you can get those classic aggressive rock and punk sounds and finger style from funk to jazz and anywhere between. It slaps well too. I’m pricing it at what it owes me to put it together. Sorry no trades. Pickup preferred but I can post in the UK for free if required.
