I recognise this one, one of Simon's stash! Nice piece of kit... worth noting that V&R have a '73 4000 in stock for £1895, so the price offered here is extremely good for such a collectable piece! Good luck with the sale!
Yep its a beaut and at a bargain price methinks.
Dan Armstrong bass guitar for sale, this is a London model made between 1972-75, I bought it new in either 74 or 75. It is the short scale model with a sliding pick-up and a mahogany body, the guitar is in excellent condition and never been gigged. Vintage & Rare Guitars in Denmark Street London sold the last one they had of this for £850. It comes complete with a case with is a bit battered due to my dog Rosie ripping of some the case covering and chewing off the handle when I lived at my mums years ago – BAD DOG ! See pictures attached, I’d prefer collection only but open to other means as well. I live in South East London. Link to the Dan Armstrong site http://www.danarmstrong.org/londonbass.html PRICE £750.00 (I’m open to offers) Thanks John
These are great basses, restoring one at the moment I got from fleabay, needed a refret and new pickup but the neck is lovely, very high quality construction and mega rare. Good luck!

Here is my beautiful Rickenbacker 4000 bass in azureglow (blue in Rick speak). All original with serial number dating it to 1982. The bass even has the bridge pickup cover! It has the rarer 'wavy' Grover USA machineheads and original mute on the bridge. It has great tonal variation for a single pickup bass from aggressive Squire like tones to Precision warmth. Its a rare bass in this finish and has a set neck which is beautifully set up with a low action, very little fret wear. No issues with either trussrod. Superb tone and balance. The bass has very little cosmetic wear with only minor dings to the headstock and grazes to the finish. I love this bass but it really does not fit in with the sound of my band so its not being played. Purchased off here just recently. Pickup only due to the value of this item and the fact there isn't a case with it. Although open to negotiation. No non UK buyers (because I won't ship this) sorry! No scammers or timewasters if you are looking at this you know how rare these beasts are. More pics on request. Potential buyers may view the bass by arrangement. Thanks for looking! Please note I am not interested in swaps or part exchanges. Looking for 950. John Birch 4001 copy plus cash my way. Gibson Grabber 2 (new version) Grabber 1 or 3 or Ripper Plus cash my way. Gibson Thunderbird or Les Paul 5 string plus cash my way. Epiphone Rivoli (not Korean) swap. Gibson RD Artist plus cash my way. Not interested in modern basses apart from Trace Elliot T bass 5/4s plus cash my way or an Overwater Jazz 5 or an Esh 5 string Jazz Cheers!

Here is my Yamaha BBN5 bass guitar, its in excellent cosmetic and working condition with only minor scuffs and dings to the natural finish. The bass has two J-type pickups and sounds great, very versatile with a nice low B string. The bass is light, well balanced and has a low action. A great 'workhorse' 5 string at a bargain price. Comes in original box. Its around 5 years old. Need to get some funds back. 125 and its yours! I can post at buyers cost.

I sold my Sandberg bass to Thom today and the transaction went incredibly smoothly. He gave me a specific date and time for the collection of the bass and stuck to it . Cash on collection no messing about. Its a good job I had to do the deal on my lunch break otherwise I think we probably would have been talking bass for hours! Great guy to deal. Thanks again Thom enjoy the Sandberg! Ash
Ahh man, xmas time is the wrong time to get a good price for this unless someone is buying it as an xmas pressie. If it were in The Spring i might have had it off you. Good luck with the sale though, hope you get a decent price.
Thanks! Its a very nice bass and has had a good playing action and fast neck but I was tempted (again) by the real thing so this must go....offers please!

This bass was made in Japan in the 70s by Aria at the Matsumoku factory. Its a rare bass, especially in this condition with only minor dings, paint touchups and tarnishing to the chrome wear. Unusually it retains its original pickups, pickup cover and trussrod! It has a bolt on neck, very thin and fast with beautiful abalone inlays and a glassy finish, the machineheads are era appropriate Grover copies. The truss rod turns each way and has plenty of adjustment play. Everything plays and works as it should with the exception of the wiring which needs some attention due to dry joints. Both pickups work but the bridge pickup has been disconnected to bypass the selector switch. It sounds pretty authentic. Its a good weight and balance and in summary its a great looking and a very collectable bass. I'm looking for around 310 cash or trade for a nice Status Groove 5 bass. Its on Ebay too but for a bit more dosh! Collection preferred but I can send within the UK only for 25 quid ish. For those non bass playing people out there who occasionally abuse these forums do not contact me if you are looking for a husband, adoption or any other money making scam! Go on you know you want it!!!!! Cheers. Now sold. Here's my Sandberg JJ5 in a rather fetching fiesta red. Its a light relic with tasteful 'wear', it has active delano pickups and circuitry. A nice preamp switching between active/passive. Its an older 'custom shop' model and has a 34" scale but a great tight B and killer neck. Action is low and the bass is balanced and light. It comes with gig bag and allen key. Its a gorgeous bass that I traded recently for a JJ5 Californian with a 35" scale - I prefer the 34'' scale. Well I'd like to sell or trade this simply because I cannot justify having such a beautiful pro level instrument when I've virtually stopped playing 5 strings so much and need a cheaper 5 for recording only. Price wise I'm looking at around 670, trade wise I'm looking for a Status Groove 5, Status wooden neck 5 or Energy or T Bass 4 or 5(plus cash my way). I'm always looking for Gibson Grabbers vintage or reissues or Overwater J types (cash your way for the right one). Its a lovely bass and plays and looks fabulous (and very festive!!!!). Will post if necessary at buyer's cost.
Here is my short scale 30" 'Kydd Bass' prototype EUB. It has a small, beautifully figured maple chambered body, ebony curved fingerboard (ideal for bowing) with a headless "steinberg" type nut/tailpiece. The electrics are a fishman under bridge pickup, no controls. The bass produces a realistic upright tone from the hollow body, it's small and very light. It comes with an old Hohner headless gigbag that fits it perfectly. The bass has a mount that fixes to an adapted mike stand (production Travellers had a tripod stand), this works fine and the bass is very easy to travel light with. I've had great fun with this bass and lots of positive comments on the tone. When I bought it it had been trashed and needed a new bridge and set up which was done locally. I also had some small position dots inlayed on the fingerboard edge to help my intonation! I have now moved to a full scale EUB hence the sale. I was told this was a one off prototype by the a guy I got it from, its certainly well made and plays great. A nice introduction to the EUB. Offers or trades - no idea what this is worth in monetary terms, cost to me and the work costs plus case set it around 450 GBP. I'd prefer pickup but will post within UK at buyers cost. I would consider trades too.
Up up up!

Here is an old Ricky 4003 that has seen a lot of life, the paintwork has been touched up and scuffed, dinged and has the genuine 'roadworn' look. The hardware is tarnished but works well and appears all original. The bass is one of the earlier 4003s where the trussrods were adjusted at the body end - hence the two piece scratchplate. The lacquer on the fingerboard has flaked and is flaking off in places. Electrics work well and the bass sounds fantastic. The neck is straight and both trussrods turn. The bass action is high and it needs a setup as it has been strung low and hanging around for a few years (I'm not attempting to adjust those 2 trussrods!). Its a cool looking vintage bass but I just don't play it so I'm pricing it realistically as it will need some work. I would also consider px/trades (anyone near me fit a boiler?!!) especially for a Gibson Grabber Model 1 2 or 3. Offers around 875 would secure the Rick. I'm prepared to post at buyers cost by pre arrangement but only within the UK. Sold!
It's worked for me - in both directions - very well on many occassions. I expect half the community is writing something similar as I type - so I respectfully suggest you wind your neck in toot suite.
Yep I've bought a nice bass off here, traded one and have not quite sold another!
