  1. Yes it was me. I thought I’d just go for it as there’s no chance of getting a new one.
  2. Would you sell a £3800 bass with an AI description? https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/186793318181
  3. Well done! I missed it, work got in the way.
  4. I’ve bought from this seller a few times and he is great to deal with and very helpful. I’m tempted myself even though it’s long scale and probably weighs as much as my PA system.
  5. Yes I’m on it 😊
  6. Sterling StingRay Shortscale This is my Sterling StingRay shortscale bass. It is in good condition and plays and sounds superb. I’m selling a few basses as I bought something a bit expensive! When I bought it the bass had some neck dive and so I replaced the tuners with some old Hipshot ultra-lites I have in my spares box. The eagle eyed will spot that one tuner is a USA version and this is because the imported versions are not reversible. I’ve kept the original tuners if you wanted to return them to the bass I’ll return it to stock and sell it for £415. The neck has had luminous position markers - front and side - installed. This was prior to my purchase. It’s been done well but I must say they aren’t something I find particularly useful although they look pretty in the dark! There are minor dings and some corrosion to the small scratchplate screws. Other than that there are some cosmetic flaws to the neck and a small ding on the underside of the rosewood board - nothing that gets in the way of playing. See pics. There is a line on the back of the neck that isn’t a scratch or flaw but a grain mark in the wood. Great little bass. Very lightweight at around 3.5kgs. Nice punchy sound. Pickup preferred as there isn’t a gigbag. I can post at buyer’s cost however. UK only. No trades. Thanks!
  7. Squier Indonesian Vintage Modified Mustang Bass A shortscale up for grabs. This is a Squier 70s style Mustang. Made around 2012 this version has the Duncan Designed Mustang pickup and a maple fingerboard. I’ve had a couple of these and have been impressed by how well they play and sound. It is very light on the shoulder at around 3.4kgs - lighter than my old ‘76 Mustang which I have recently purchased (hence this sale). It’s in great condition and sounds and plays well. One of the black side dots has been enlarged with a marker or paint. That’s the only thing of note cosmetically. Sorry no trades. Pickup preferred but I can post at buyers cost. There’s no gigbag included. It’s wearing a brand new set of D’Addario round wounds. Thanks for looking.
  8. I messaged you about it, I had a similar one, an SB-50 with a German carve to the body. I sold it on when I was moving house. Great bass. Sadly they don’t get the attention they deserve but I think that about most Yamaha basses. Especially considering their quality.
  9. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/235826216184?_skw=bass&itmmeta=01JCDM9GBJB5PE570PR96W1VHC&hash=item36e8567cf8%3Ag%3AEfoAAOSwM-VnMfFt&itmprp=enc%3AAQAJAAAAwHoV3kP08IDx%2BKZ9MfhVJKnE7y0Hoz1m4VV66sqMx2SZ4%2BlYzlZJcOqA4w9hZMsRf1KTZddITv5MZiRKSOTDXQowdKdmaNhsrILgcESJveWLg%2BBj2mFZEbXkOZWj4vSioZflDZNcdUepZyp63nQXQRW92bH35ZFezjNl3VbaFCBNroYffrDa%2BQ46b9ZptEpARJSjGOXNGa48qcrYPUy6RzOtskvkksR0uHo92MWZFvV9A%2BQc7RanvJGvIjo%2FuaJtyQ%3D%3D|tkp%3ABk9SR_CFprTjZA&LH_ItemCondition=3000 A very odd mod!
  10. I’ve had a lot of interest but mainly trades which I’m not looking for and very low ball offers. It’s a fantastic instrument as good as any US Sterling I’ve played but at half the price. The new Sterling SB14 passive is nearly twice as expensive as this one! I was thinking of selling it for parts but it’s just too good a bass as is. So if no one goes for the price it’s advertised for now £580 I’ll withdraw it.
  11. A recent purchase but alas the old fretting hand issues mean that I have become very finicky about necks with my limited span. This ticks all the boxes in terms of weight (around 3.6kgs), looks and sounds. It’s a fantastic bass and in near mint condition. Short scale but string through body so it takes medium scale strings or cut down long scales if you aren’t fussy. Comes with gig bag and all the usual paperwork and certificate. It was made in 2022 and hasn’t been gigged since purchased. No trades, pickup preferred. I can post for £25. No offers it’s very cheap for an American Fender. Advertised elsewhere. Thanks for looking!
  12. Fantastic sounding and looking bass from a great player - heard this on Saturday unfortunately long scales and five strings are no longer feasible for me. Great price too GLWTS
  13. You are absolutely right I was mixing up my Silver series with my SQ series! That will teach me to not to comment too hastily at the thrill of a MIJ Squier 🤭. Still a fabulous instrument mind you.
  14. Little Jack Horner bass for sale at a ludicrous price…. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/267036755179?_skw=bass&itmmeta=01JARQ79APAK5EZ88CC7QDEDTC&hash=item3e2ca184eb%3Ag%3AnJIAAOSwACxnFqgE&itmprp=enc%3AAQAJAAAAwHoV3kP08IDx%2BKZ9MfhVJKmeN%2BwaAATtqv3JIa1xEvHnPYc07YyuCHIqSzu1ru9G%2F6szu2ivft9TBFUkBQ3HsLTMwig4fl1tmriluDJrnTVTmQWBQbFIbEWJ07uICoZG5y2vBWAeP--DOQ1rZcjABERAhvKtNQ9c5UM%2BS6k4G3yHTMhveSrSbcjdWXDwen3tnc0%2BLWdORxzw7EV5xYa7MtQIl%2BHdv6QMt%2BjARMozkKiUyrPpI4dN4fg336AdMMr89A%3D%3D|tkp%3ABk9SR7aVnZfWZA&LH_ItemCondition=3000
  15. Definitely equal to the JV series - made at the same time but were marketed as a more ‘contemporary’ design - as good as many a US bass of the era too. Fantastic value.
  16. Ah it’s been revised again and rather price lowered- although still overpriced. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/365177551517?_skw=bass&itmmeta=01JA7PR2JZA5DXJQ7X9VDG1WED&hash=item5506473a9d%3Ag%3A0lIAAOSwYXVnDQvv&itmprp=enc%3AAQAJAAAAwHoV3kP08IDx%2BKZ9MfhVJKmSf7AedpQVnssYB7E9kFphxjCjhBKayBV8dJGuHPD8yOs7jFxdZi7qDnqufEJSq6u6R0GQxgqaHVJ4fRTtHD57h%2Bw%2BKQetv3wc73Zl78voZ8OQfERXaDe6bDb6Khijo3uWLtgz7ylw%2BqkkIWBiiDQrWHlSlmzKePtV55pAQUtr8Q%2FbdTsutPPUOtIn4pbByiX%2F%2B7jUHOfDgxIbEtI9uxoALvgBbiGfQ0F79%2FCczPAAxA%3D%3D|tkp%3ABk9SR8ip4PbRZA&LH_ItemCondition=3000
  17. I notice it’s listed as Precision bass now but still described as a Fender in the main advert.
  18. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/365177551517?_skw=bass&itmmeta=01JA5H6YMNW7N1RBE6S88H9NQ7&hash=item5506473a9d%3Ag%3A0lIAAOSwYXVnDQvv&itmprp=enc%3AAQAJAAAA4HoV3kP08IDx%2BKZ9MfhVJKlG%2FqDGK89O4FWJOxL0nILLevrSGfySRmxhQveZqQuFQ6TUn7yN0g85nAdd7nkQheivxp961jKivedGNHzmMF9ZnxzibaGb%2BCp8TMVaTA4XglzaDW%2BPAjKyVJoNlvONXdH7tjkUeIVvFKUmkIGCOGkH6biOPUu0l%2BhdPbnmWXFjB3jHierAf9w9SjtxdxPhMzHC%2BRE47Ej8qPD8HjS%2Fu36FPlZVOfFPUvO6Jt7dRg%2BjHMgpvKwCdJqU3oc1BseWFPTj51kkyEl1GfOatd3tQshU|tkp%3ABk9SR7Lqm7HRZA&LH_ItemCondition=3000 Looks like a Samick era Squier but the tuners ought to be stamped licensed by Schaller. Anyway a copy of some kind.
  19. Yamaha DXR10 Mk 1 Full-range Active 10" Speaker The speaker is in excellent cosmetic and functional condition and comes with Yamaha cover. Please see pictures for cosmetic condition. It has been used as a keyboard monitor and also as a vocal monitor. Can be used for FOH and even bass with a suitable preamp/pedal. It’s a compact speaker but quite chunky for its size hence postage cost of £25. Pickup preferred. Note this is the Mk1 version. From Yamaha - The Yamaha DXR10 is an active full-range PA speaker delivering 1100w of dynamic power. The Yamaha DXR10 is the most compact speaker in the DXR series and features a 10-inch low-frequency driver and a 1.4-inch high-frequency driver powered by a Class-D amplifier. 20. All PMs replied to still for sale.
  21. Yep me too. I see those generic descriptions and move along.
  22. A snake catcher with too many zeros https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/276670610660?_skw=bass&itmmeta=01J9DZ33J7K66W0DM10NTRZ6QQ&hash=item406ada7ce4%3Ag%3AwWcAAOSwfy1m8yi8&itmprp=enc%3AAQAJAAAA4HoV3kP08IDx%2BKZ9MfhVJKngJSpRK0pJW2ZLwkzkWUt%2BYeyF5mlKbs43cEN5Qj3IQo7XRceXwF4T7JrxlVHlrF8X4MhZSU333%2BGA09qqKsuzM4lkfeZcND51zs0ArgdVXeWwKzDMuGnSrG6wWfEM24AIVrbwD6ccGJ2Yph40sSKq7aVNgmyR0ek9yEprxnuUYqkD5DWqZqOyKOFSYOIQFm51%2FBR5kQR7Opi6cPHl%2FwSENGSPyAvceuVt4RDn6kE3K7dJjWmOHv8Iv4uiu0THkgap7KAPdwLTmI3tS1p0QNBX|tkp%3ABk9SR5q5jL_LZA&LH_ItemCondition=3000
  23. 1978 Fender Musicmaster in the original wine red finish. It’s a lovely finish and you can see the grain through it. The bass is in excellent condition for the year and weighs in at around 3.6kgs - nice and easy on the shoulders. It’s a shortscale bass and has 19 frets which are in good shape. Neck is very good with a few dings but none that bother the playability. A few dings to the body and marks (see pics) and some nice finish checking. Bass comes with CTS pots and custom made pickup. This sounds really punchy compared to the original (strat type guitar pickup) single coil pickup that the last owner had replaced. To my ears it has more of a P bass tone. I do have the original pots (although the shafts have been damaged) and the original capacitor is in situ. The other hardware; tuners, string tree, strap buttons, bridge, neck plate and knobs are original. When I bought it the wrong era replacement scratchplate had been installed so I bought the correct version from WD Music. There are some extra screw holes hidden under the plate as a result. The bass is a great later example of the small but perfectly formed and punchy Musicmaster now becoming sought after in their own right as a very playable alternative to the Mustang bass. I have two others both rather beaten up and they are my preferred bass these days but work on the house means something has to go….. UK sale only, sorry no trades. Pickup preferred but I can post at buyer’s cost. Thanks.
  24. Yes the neck was expensive and also the Hipshot hardware I fitted. I got the neck originally to swap for a rosewood board on another Sterling but then having bought an SB14 I tried it on that and it became my main gigging bass for 18 months. Unfortunately fretting hand issues mean I’m only able to play short scale basses for the time being.
