A modded 40 year old JV Precision hence the lower price. It has been routed for EMG PJ active pickups with a Jazz pickup at the bridge - a classic mod! The bass also has a countersunk Hi-Mass bridge. The bass weighs 4.3kgs and sounds and plays as a good PJ ought to. Classic JV quality in a lovely original fiesta Red finish. All hardware is original other than the mods. There are areas where the paint has been touched up near the neck pocket and bridge and the Jazz rout but nothing drastic. The mods are from the mid 80s when the bass was toured. At one point there was a switch that has since been removed and the hole on the original white scratchplate has a plastic cap over it. I’m selling my long scale basses that have no sentimental attachment owing to issues with my fretting hand. I’m not interested in trades other than shortscale Fender Mustangs or Stingrays. It has a gigbag and I would prefer pickup. Postage not impossible but at buyers cost and UK only. Thanks!

I have this lovely black and maple US made Precision Bass from 2002 for sale. It’s in excellent condition with only two small dings on the back of the neck and a few minor scuffs to the body. The scratchplate is a replacement as originally it would have had a white plate. I bought it like this so do not have the original. It comes with original Fender case. Sounds and plays as you would expect from a US bass from this era. I’m no longer playing long scale instruments owing to a fretting hand issue that limits my span so all my basses without sentimental attachment are being sold. No trades unless you have a JMJ Mustang in black or perhaps a partial trade with cash on an MIM Mustang black with maple neck. Bass weighs around 4.2kgs so easy on the shoulder. I can post in the UK if you can’t pick it up in person. PayPal F&F or cash. Thanks!

SWR Workingman’s 10 Combo & Cover Reduced £195 - *WITHDRAWN*

SWR Workingman’s 10 Combo These little SWR combos have gained a very high reputation over the years for their sound quality and portability, when they first came onto the market they were a revelation in terms of their performance to size ratio. This is one of the later models and is in excellent condition. Stand alone it produces 80 watts through its internal speaker and horn. You can add a second cab to get it to push its full power of 100. This is not a digital amp and it’s built like a tank. I’d say the wattage is underrated as I’ve used it in gigs with a four piece band and it’s kept up. With PA support tilt it back on its internal stand and it’s a monitor. There have been no modifications and the speaker is original. One or two pots are scratchy and may benefit from some switch cleaner (which I have recently run out of!), some cosmetic wear and bobbling from normal use. Sound quality is excellent and it has the SWR Aural Enhancer feature. It’s quite heavy compared to more recent mini combos but it’s a one hand lift and very portable. It comes with a Roqsolid cover too and mains lead. I’ve not used it much recently and was planning to use it with keyboards but I need a multichannel amp for that now so have decided to sell it. I would prefer pickup but could post if necessary in the UK only however postage will be quite expensive. I’ll put some pictures up with the cover later today. No trades sorry.

I bought this from here last week however I also managed to pick up a smaller MB amp locally which is more suitable for my current rarely gigging needs so I’m selling this on. It’s quite heavy compared to their digital amps so pickup preferred. Here is the original sales thread from Geoff who I bought it from. It’s a really fantastic sounding amp with a lot of punch. One thing I’d add is that the gain knob is slightly stiffer to turn than the others. Comes with the MB gigbag too. I can post at buyer’s cost in the UK if necessary. No trades.

Nord Electro 3 61 Waterfall Keyboard This is an excellent keyboard for producing traditional mechanical keyboard sounds such as pianos and organs. You can get superb Hammonds, Vox and Farfisa organ sounds plus acoustic and electric pianos - the electric pianos are superb. There is also a sampler so you can download various sounds from the Nord website such as Mellotrons, orchestral strings, synth and brass. Build quality is second to none and the keyboard feels fantastic to play. As well as the various user variable programmes you can use the keyboard live using the button operated ‘drawbars’ and live effects on all sounds. This keyboard is in superb condition with only a few dings to the end cheeks. It functions perfectly and comes with a tatty but functional keyboard gig bag. Pickup preferred but I can post at buyer’s cost in the UK only. Sorry no trades.

Fender Vintera II 70’s Telecaster Bass & Gig Bag - *SOLD*

I bought this lovely MIM Tele Bass as my original ‘72 is very heavy. Unfortunately because of problems with my fretting hand I’ve gone back to playing short scale instruments. All my long scale basses are to be sold and only my oldest basses with sentimental value will stay. It took me a while to find one of these that was light enough to justify the purchase. They are certainly not as heavy as the originals but most of these are around the 4.4/5kgs. This one is 3.9kgs and is incredibly comfortable to play. The construction is superb - better than the originals I would say and the pickup is a little more controllable with more mids than the full fat 70’s version. That’s my opinion anyway. It does look and sound great, the colour is stunning and it’s near spotless (rehearsed a couple of times but not gigged), even the clear plastic is on the three bolt neck plate. Strings are Roto roundwounds and it comes with the Fender gig bag. The ‘tug bar’ has been removed but it is included. I don’t want any trades on this and it’s UK only. Pickup preferred but I have a decent box so I could post it if you are at the other end of the country. The cheapest I’ve seen these is just over the thousand mark and there was an ex demo one for just under that. You will be getting a near new (light weight😄) bass at a bargain price. Postage would be around £25. The intonation saddles are small cut down pieces of fret wire so you can make your own. I’ve done it for a few old Hofners.
-
Really lovely I think it’s more likely a 64 as the neck has binding. I’m sure you’ll have visited the brilliant Steve Russell Hofner site and I’d recommend his book about the Hofner 500/1 Bass too. I’ve owned a few vintage, reissues and Contemporary models but I really love the ‘Artist’ 63 reissue I bought recently. It’s a German made instrument but has a more modern poly finish to keep costs down.

I’ve got one of the original Marathon 6 Basses like Hooky’s in cherry red. I’ve owned many over the years including double necks and 8 strings I expect yours won’t have the lacquer cracking that most suffer from. Not tried one with the ‘laminate’ finish, it’s definitely a later model. Looks great!

Selling my Novation Ultranova keyboard. It’s in excellent condition with original gig bag. It’s a great little synth with a lot of useful applications. The synth engine is very powerful and it can be used as a controller over midi and USB. The PSU is a replacement and the gooseneck microphone got lost years ago but you can use any mic with an XLR lead. The software and manual is available online I believe - to be honest I used it with the onboard controls as it is pretty intuitive. Lots of online reviews and videos of it in action. Some minor marks of wear and cosmetic scratches on the bottom. Everything works as it ought to. High quality Fatar keybed. A great little synth for not much money. UK only I can post at buyer’s cost. Would swap for a Squier Mustang bass perhaps. No other trades. Blurb below - This compact yet fully featured synth boasts an innovative, easy-to-use design and great sounds at an affordable price. Billed as the successor to Novation's famous "SuperNova" synth, this modern updated version has state of the art hardware and tactile control, with all the character of a vintage synth! The Ultranova's engine is based on the Supernova's original design with enhancements to the filters, and addition of wavetable synthesis, software control and a great "touch mode" feature where you can manipulate your core sounds with just a touch of the rotary encoders. Here's what Novation say about the UltraNova UltraNova is the new generation of Novation's iconic 'Nova' range of synthesizers. It packs the massive 'Nova' sound into a compact body with a built-in vocoder. A new 'Touch' performance system places deep control of the synth right at your fingertips - so incredible new ways to play, create and perform are just a touch away. UltraNova has 300 onboard sounds that you can browse by type and musical genre, so gigging musicians can get started straight away. You can quickly change the character of the sound with 8 encoders and a large, smooth encoder for detailed control. It also comes with software plug-in editor which gives you in-depth visual editing, and can be opened and controlled in your DAW. There is also a software patch librarian that allows you to store, organize and search for an unlimited number of patches by type and genre. UltraNova has wavetable synthesis, 14 filter types, 6 envelopes, 3 LFOs, 5 effects slots, density/detune and much more. This level of power needs clear control, so each part of the synth has a dedicated button that assigns parameters to the 8 encoders above the LCD screen. This makes UltraNova fast and easy to program, like an analogue synth. UltraNova has an onboard 2 in 4 out USB Audio Interface that can transfer audio directly to and from your computer. It also has a SPDIF output, MIDI in/out/thru ports (for hardware-to-hardware connectivity). Finally, UltraNova can work in 'Automap mode', transforming its eight encoders into a powerful controller for plug-ins and DAWs. Brand new Nova-series synth engine based on Supernova II Single part with up to 18 voices, 14 filter types, 36 wavetables, 5 effect slots Patch Browse enables you to browse 300 sounds by type & genre Touch-sense controls enable totally new sound-shaping & performance Trigger envelopes/LFOs/filters/FX by just touching the encoders Large rotary control allows you fine control of any parameter Totally gig-able with 37 full sized keys, a vocoder, and loads of controls Voice optimized 12 band vocoder with gooseneck mic High quality key bed with aftertouch for expressive playing styles Software plug-in editor and Patch Librarian for full visual editing Plug-in editor allows you to view and edit in with software Software Patch Librarian a organize, store and share unlimited patches Built-in 2 in 4 out USB audio interface and it can be bus powered UltraNova can be used to stream audio to and from a host computer Stereo main (analogue & SPDIF) and aux outputs, and MIDI in/out/thru ports Additional features Arpeggiator Chord function Filter distortion Density & Detune functions Automap controller Powered by USB or the included power supply Specifications Number of Keys 37 Brand Novation Key Action Semi Weighted Digital/Analogue Analogue Key Size Full Size

I’m selling my Mellotron Micro keyboard. It is the smallest modern version of the Mellotron with a two octave keyboard. It has 100 classic Mellotron sounds which are mixable so you can have two sounds playing at once. The build quality of these units is amazing - they are constructed from steel and have a very easy to use interface with the classic Mellotron and Chamberlain sounds and pitch variation. It’s a small unit so very portable and comes with original packaging and PSU. There are some great demos and reviews on YouTube if you want to listen. These don’t come up for sale very often. Condition is like new. UK only I can post at buyer’s cost if necessary.

Here is my 2018 Ric 4003s in near mint condition. It plays really well with no neck or fret flaws, truss rods work as they ought to and frets have no discernible wear - it looks like new. Bought early this year as a back up but as I’m playing my EBMM Sterling US almost exclusively this is not being touched. It has a custom treble pickup bezel fitted but the original and cover are included. It weighs under 3.9kgs and balances well. The maple board has a nice stripe/flame to the wood. It’s a UK sale/trade only sorry and I’d prefer to deal face to face if possible. Similar to my P Bass Special I’d prefer a trade or part trade - cash either way depending on value. Please don’t contact me if what you want to trade isn’t on this list : EBMM US Sterling or Stingray Shortscale, 70’s Fender Precision with a maple board, Fender US Musicmaster or 70’s Fender Mustang with maple neck. I’d prefer a trade to a sale to be honest - the price is much less than I paid and a big saving on new if you can find one in this finish. Now £1625 cash on pickup or £1650 posted in the UK via PayPal friends and family. That’s a good price for a Ric in this condition. Thanks. Note I’ve added pics with the new chrome finished bezel fitted - this prevents you catching your thumb on the treble surround and is a better fit. The one in the first pictures is perspex on a chrome plate (Retrovibe parts I believe) whereas the one now fitted uses the original Ric treble surround and fits more snuggly.

Sale only and a very reduced price for a nice old Fender. The bass is a 1980/81 Fender Precision Special. They weren’t made for long and are quite rare. This one is in Lake Placid Blue and has all the original brass and gold plated hardware. I even found the thumb rest that is made from solid brass hiding in a box when I moved house recently. Pickup is the original Fender and I had one side recently repaired by Aaron Armstrong. You will notice that the bass is wired passively. I still have the active circuit and extra brass knob but the circuit will need attention as it wasn’t working at all when I bought this back (I’ve owned this bass twice). It still sounds great as a passive bass however. The scratchplate is original and the extra holes have been plugged with removable plastic caps. I believe a non-original LED may have been fitted at some point as there is an extra plugged hole. It has dings aplenty as it has been gigged a lot over its 40+ years. Frets are in good order as is the trussrod. Action is nice and low and it is currently wearing Dean Markley Blue Steel heavy gauge strings. It’s got some tone to it and it’s a heavy bass at around 4.8kgs. The brass parts are heavy and when I was gigging it I had it fitted with lightweight tuners and a spiral bridge to cut down the weight. That said it’s a lot less than some 70’s Precisions I’ve played. The original Fender case is included. I’m afraid I won’t ship outside the UK. Any questions please ask.
