  1. Hi it’s a fairly shallow neck and the nut width is around 44mm
  2. 2008 MIM Fender Roadworn 50’s Precision. These are very well made instruments and highly regarded, this is a good example. It is currently wearing flat wound strings and comes with a Fender gig bag. It plays well and sounds exactly like a P bass ought to. Other than the factory worn finish there are no extra dings that I can see. It is well balanced with a medium action, everything works and the frets are in very good order. There is a reissue chrome bridge cover included. The bass is lovely and light at 8.5lbs/3.9kgs. Not a back breaker by any means. I prefer the neck on my JV P bass and need to raise funds for a new project as my 70’s Precision isn’t shifting I’m hoping this one will. UK only no trades, pickup preferred but I can post if necessary within the UK at buyer’s cost.
  3. Pickup is in excellent condition - great upgrade for Squier basses etc. I can post for £3 UK only. From SD The vintage single-coil bass tone of this high output P bass pickup gets a push with more string sensitivity than the Hot model, and a more articulate treble response. The high output coil and quarter-inch diameter pole pieces give you aggressive attack with strong bottom end and lots of mids. It supercharges the traditional single coil with more tonal flexibility. This pickup is a drop-in replacement for any American Standard Single Coil Precision bass. Hand built in Santa Barbara, CA, the Quarter Pound for Single Coil P-Bass uses diameter alnico 5 rod magnets, Forbon flatwork, and is vacuum wax potted for squeal free performance.
  4. Damn that rogue decimal point 😅
  5. Classic Comfort Strapp for heavier basses. This is the shortest length strap. A bit too short for me hence the sale. I can post for £2.50 UK only. Good clean condition, it’s been used but perfectly functional.
  6. I’m selling my 1978 Fender Precision bass in original natural finish. It has a dark rosewood fret board and a really lovely neck with a slim nut width (just under 42mms). It’s not all original. The scratch plate is a WD single ply replacement. I don’t have the original. The nut is a black Tusq type. The knobs are lightweight aluminium dome tops (it had heavy duty replacements when I bought it), the pickup has the original covers but has larger pole pieces and looks like a Seymour Duncan. The pots and wiring are original although the jack socket was faulty so I replaced it with a new Switchcraft output. Case is a generic P bass type very similar to the Fender moulded cases of the era. The bass sounds and plays really nicely, the ash body gives lots of sustain and is a reasonable 4.8kgs in weight. The body has some dings and scuffs to the finish however as it’s natural these aren’t very noticeable. There are two filled holes near the bridge where a different bridge cover has been fitted. I’ve included reissue pickup and bridge ‘ashtrays’ in the case. The neck has one ding at the back as pictured. Truss rod works and the frets have lots of life in them. It is a lovely bass but alas I prefer maple boards and I’ve seen one on here with a maple board that I want to buy! Strings are now Rotosound Swingbass 45-105. I had D’addarios on it but the heavier gauge Rotos sound and feel fantastic on this bass. I can post in the UK only at buyer’s cost but I’d prefer personal pickup as it’s a valuable instrument. Lots of pics including neck butt and pocket. Any questions please ask. No trades.
  7. Moogerfooger Bass Murf MF-105B for sale. It’s in good condition and comes with PSU. No box or manual but the manual is available online. I got it to try out on some recordings but it’s not something I need really for live use so I’m moving it on. These are discontinued and have become quite sought after as there weren’t many made. There’s lots of info and a few demos online. If you want that Moog sound for your bass well here it is. There is a filter section, drive circuit, envelope generator and LFO in one chunky pedal. You can add an expression pedal and tap tempo switch too. You can create subtle to OTT effects. Incredible fat bass sounds and plenty of control over frequencies with the filters. The animation pattern control gives you sequences that you can trigger with your bass. If you are into experimentation this is the pedal for you. One of the slider caps was missing when I bought it so I used a spare from the old replaced set off my Moog Rogue. UK only no trades sorry. I can post for about a tenner.
  8. Yes it is quite similar - the black and maple look is definitely my thing!
  9. Classic Leo Quan Badass II bridge direct fit for Fender basses. Rarer gold plated version. Some wear to plating but functions perfectly with no seized screws. No mounting screws included. Dates from around 1985. Postage in UK only at buyer’s cost

  10. I recently bought this early 80’s JV Precision from a forum member. It’s beautiful and plays superbly but I got forced into buying an older bass so this needs to go. It’s a lovely neck with birdseye figuring. It sounds and plays brilliantly. Best of all is it weighs 3.6kgs! Some cosmetic dings but nothing bad the main chip is pictured. Comes with case and original scratchplate. The tuners have at some stage been replaced with higher quality but cosmetically correct Gotoh reverse tuners. UK only, pickup preferred but I will post at buyer’s cost. Please note this is a sale only no trades and no offers - selling for what Inpaid for it which is a very good price for one of these. Cheers!
  11. Classic Schaller bridge with rollers to adjust string spacing. Good condition, pitting to chrome underside only, no mounting screws.

  12. Roland Boutique SH-01A Module and K-25m Keyboard Superb modern version of the legendary Roland SH101 with sequencer. It can be used with any midi keyboard but comes complete with the mini version which it slots into nicely. The unit has a tiny speaker and works off batteries or USB so very portable. It’s a well made synth and has some weight for the size of it. Comes with USB lead, keyboard and the module has the original box. Lots of great reviews online the most thorough being Nick Batt on Sonic Lab YouTube channel. Synth has lots of options and a great bass sound. In excellent condition - like new really. UK only no trades. Postage will be around £12

  13. No the person who bid several times immediately cancelled when he won 🤨
  14. The description says it’s home made by the seller. Looks like a Burns pickup at the neck.
  15. Cheers Brian money returned.
  16. Oh dear oops indeed. In fairness Brian I’ll reimburse you as I did promise them to the person who PM’d me. As I said if that sale falls through…
  17. Sorry Brian got a PM this morning if this falls through I’ll be in touch ok?
  18. I’m afraid I don’t know to be honest they were on the JV bought from here recently, they feel similar to the 40-100 Hi Beams I replaced them with. They are certainly not a heavy gauge and have a low tension feel.
  19. Very nice set of TI flats taken from a bass I just bought, however I don’t use flat-wound strings anymore. These low tension strings are in excellent condition although the silks are a bit scruffy. They are cut for a Fender type headstock. Includes UK postage.
  20. I bought a lovely black and maple JV Precision, quick and easy transaction from a very friendly Basschatter. Thanks Paul.
  21. Very nice - it looks like there is no contouring to the body and compared to my US Sterling. Also no coil switch. Not seen one of these for sale in a long time. Does the original preamp work ok?
  22. I bought this Aria Pro II SB600 factory fretless bass as a project however as I’m a lousy fretless player I’ve decided to move it on. The bass was purchased in a poor state as the electrics were completely shot. An old active circuit had been added at some point and was burnt out. Routs had crud in them from bad components. The bass was dusty and dirty with lots of knocks and dings. It has an extra Westone bass pickup at the bridge and there are extra holes in the body where various switches have been and a side jack has been installed. The bass has been routed for a battery and has a crude homemade cover attached with a single screw. I removed the active circuit and cleaned the bass. The original SB pickup has now been rewired to approximate the original wiring with the coil tap switch now installed correctly. I used the existing pots which are 500k rather than 250k. Fortunately the Aria pickup was working properly when I rewired it as these pickups are hard to replace and near impossible to repair. The Westone pickup is currently not wired up but has been tested and works fine, the existing pickup selector is not wired into the circuit. You could wire the two pickups and have a pickup selector but for my purposes the SB pickup was all I needed. The bass is a fairly early one with the ‘batwing’ headstock. Around 1979. It has a fixed neck and weighs around 4.5kgs. The brass nut is original and in my view could be filed down a little. The action is okay and I have used it with light gauge 40-90 strings. It needs a good set up to get the best from it. I wouldn’t want to move the trussrod anymore as it feels quite tight but it will move both ways. I’m selling it on as a project bass for what it has cost me so far. I’ve included an extra matching knob cap - looks like from a Westone and a coil tap switch should you want it. I’ll put these in the battery rout and put some masking tape over so they don’t get lost. Lots of pictures. Construction as ever with these Japanese basses is incredible. UK only, no trades postage at buyer’s cost.
