  1. Not now that you’ve seen Iggy’s knöb, no.
  2. Me too; I like a good, solid chunk of ash and maple. I like my Neoprene straps even more! 😀
  3. WITHDRAWN 2 piece Ash P body Wilkinson P pickup BBOT bridge Not Hipshot A type bridge Guitar Tech machine heads (4 in line) EB cobalt flats cut for 4 in line 45-105 Body has had a light sanding and 2 coats of wax with a coat of varnish over the top which will come off very easily if needed. colour is lighter than the first image, it’s much closer to the colour in the picture of the rear.
  4. I prefer the sound of a 6x10” to a 8x10”, it’s just a bit less ‘rumbly’.
  5. I've always been partial to Tori Amos' version of Happiness Is A Warm Gun.
  6. Pop the back, could be a short somewhere if it's draining batteries quickly; they're only supposed to draw 25mA.
  7. Mine was a short scale Hohner with a P pickup: into a Marshall practice amp; neither of which were great. Fortunately we did a lot of gigs with PA support, so the paltry output of the Marshall wasn't an issue.
  8. Downloaded it and ‘gave it a spin’ on my way to work yesterday. My first impression is that it’s a very, very good album. I’m looking forward to getting more acquainted with it on subsequent listenings.
  9. Would I gig it? In a heartbeat. If the bass is set up according to how I like it and holds its tuning then I see no issue.
  10. Singer keeps changing arrangement? I’d be changing singers.
  11. Get lessons! DB is an entirely different beastie and it’s really easy to damage yourself unless your technique is safe.
  12. Seventh triads (minor, major, dominant) up and down the neck (2octaves) , then pick four chords and play a couple of bars of each as a slow progression, then speed up.
  13. My entry album was the Chronicles compilation, I still listen to it from time to time.
  14. Nickel too, not even stainless steel! Someone is removing the micturate, and no mistake.
  15. I love the EHX Small Clone (and Small Stone if it comes to that) for modulation stuff.
  16. Anything by the Eagles; just can’t bear them.
  17. Up for grabs is my blackface Ampeg SVP PRO preamp. All tube preamp with transformer isolated XLR out, 2 preamp outs on 1/4” jacks, effects loops and tuner out. Manual is online here: https://ampeg.com/pdf/SVP-PRO.pdf Comes with full set of Harma tubes (Watford Tubes’ own brand) and isolating transformer for the preamp outputs - these units can be quite noisy due to the design of the power supply; a £15 passive Behringer box between the SVP and the power amp solves the problem. SOLD will trade for Ampeg SCR-DI pedal as I’m moving to ‘in-ears’ now. Back up for sale now.
  18. I’m going to buck the trend her and say that I prefer their later output; ‘New Adventures In Hifi’ being A particular favourite. I’m not saying their early stuff is schit, far from it. Just my personal opinion.
  19. Agreed; some of their best writing spoiled by too many overdubs. I like Presto too.
  20. Not really using this as much as I thought I would, so it’s up for grabs due to limited pedalboard space. Very good condition with box and instructions. with velcro on the underside: £45 includes P&P to a mainland UK front door fo your choosing. WITHDRAWN
