  1. God Gave Rock and Roll To You by KISS. Quite an interesting little intro that segues into mediocrity. And not in a good way.
  2. WRT the stacked knob wiring I’d put the one that you use the most on the top-it’s easier to get hold of that one on a gig.
  3. If I was having a master tone control then I think I’d have the 2 volumes on a single stacked knob and the tone control on its own.
  4. 2 stacked knobs with volume and tone for each pickup, just like the old Jazz basses used to.
  5. Do you have a separate preamp (sans amp or similar) that you can plug into the effects return socket? That will tell you if your power amp stage is working, and it’s just a bad / broken connection between the pre and the power stage. not sure if the di out on there is pre or post eq, if you can try it with another valve (12ax7) that would be the first thing I’d do.
  6. I know some players who regularly make massive foot cups when playing live, shall I give them a bell?
  7. I really rate Wilkinson stuff; got their pups on all of my basses, I think I’ve got a couple of their bridges too.
  8. Indeed, although creativity *and* aesthetics is even more awesome!
  9. Are you even a real musician!?! 😄
  10. Built a P bass, sold 4 pedals and a preamp, that’s at least a score draw...
  11. I love the googly eyes on the tuners! Not too bothered about the stars though...
  12. Best purchase: EB Cobalt flats. Worst purchase: not really had one (yet)
  13. Sign O the times - Prince. Awesome!!
  14. Primus. All of it, masters of the ostinato. Check out Jon the Fisherman: Alright, it’s not ‘simplest’ of basslines, but it’s a corker!
  15. Oof!! 😍
  16. Is this affiliated with ‘MDP’ by any chance?
  17. Loud, sweaty & lots of fun. Local gig last night at a venue we play semi-regularly, so lots of connection with the audience. Dancing from the word go, which even the owner was impressed with. All in all a good do!!
  18. Wow!!
  19. Roundwounds, low action and a pick is where I’d start.
  20. Double bass sounds can be had by muting the strings with the edge of your picking hand and plucking with your thumb - helps if you roll the tone off too!!
  21. Want one of those!!
  22. Bumpers. Any offers considered.
