  1. What you really need is a £1400 Billie Joe Armstrong Les Paul Junior signature model, they’re perfect for “carving into and putting stickers on”...
  2. I’ve been running a solid stare SP300 Laney power amp in and off for 20 years; never once let me down.
  3. Posted on here a while ago, but my Honey Bee clone has ousted a couple of the other drives at the moment.
  4. Last night was a gig in my old stomping ground. The pub I used to drink in as a student has changed hands, but has retained its air of iniquity. The band were on top form last night and it was my first wireless gig too. Ended up on the shoulders of the lead singer playing the 2nd encore and got home at about 2.30 this morning. Not too shabby.
  5. I enjoyed it from one minute (ish). Sorry.
  6. How about a one knob fuzz? Easy enough to build, even easier to market - available with different sizes of knob; of course the bigger the knob, the more you pay...
  7. I don't see it as massively offensive, just puerile, immature 'humour'. If that's how you want to live your life then carry on. Good luck.
  8. 5 hours use since the service and it smoked - I'd be having words with whoever 'biased' it... I'd have a go at this if it wasn't collection only. From Plymouth.
  9. Yeah, I'm on my 2nd. I sold mine when I lost my job about 10 years ago. Glad to have one back in the fold now though.
  10. Mmmmm. I've got one of those and they're absolutely lovely.
  11. Experienced Musician and Music Tutor at FE and HE levels offering 1:1 tuition in performance, sight reading & improvisation. Also Music Theory from an instrument perspective.
  12. Mon dieu! C’est belle. My yob is ‘75. I already sold my soul in the early 90s, but I can’t remember what for. In lieu of standard supernatural currency I’ll trade a kidney and/or lung. Any takers?
  13. Recently I’ve seen promo material for a hard rock tribute act made up exclusively of homosexual males under the title of... wait for it... GayC/DC Here’s a link to an article with videos etc... https://metalheadzone.com/heres-the-gay-ac-dc-tribute-band-gayc-dc/
  14. I’ve always loved Frank’s playing since I discovered Anthrax in high school (early 90s). Really stoked to be seeing them with Slayer in November; Scott Ian is one of my favourite players too.
  15. Fish - Vigil in a Wilderness of Mirrors. Sublime playing from John Giblin throughout. Pearl Jam - Ten.
  16. I’ve always had a soft spot for Billy Gould’s effort on ‘Kindergarten’ by Faith No More: https://g.co/kgs/DQQKMa
  17. Do most of the best players use a 4 string? Probably. Most of the worst ones do too...
  18. I’ve got the remastered (most recent remaster - there’s been a couple) of LED Zeppelin II and IV on vinyl and they sound awesome; much better than the originals in terms of mix clarity and dynamics. I think if they’re done well then it’s a ‘no harm, no foul’ situation.
  19. Donald Fagan’s ‘Nightfly’. Bought it on the recommendation of my bass tutor at the time (hella player and all round nice guy) and since I respected his opinion I sprung for a copy. Very impressive personnel but utterly, utterly unlistenable to me; stale, insipid lift music from the 80s.
  20. Erm, through body stringing should involve a shallower angle that that shouldn't it? Those just nose-dive through the body!
  21. Most On/On/On switches are set up like this, aren't they? Assuming that the RED and WHITE are the hot outputs from each coil, and H is the signal output the the jack socket then I can't see a reason why it shouldn't work.
  22. Should have gone for the 'Full set' and popped a clip-on tuner on there.
