  1. Yeah, I'm on my 2nd. I sold mine when I lost my job about 10 years ago. Glad to have one back in the fold now though.
  2. Mmmmm. I've got one of those and they're absolutely lovely.
  3. Experienced Musician and Music Tutor at FE and HE levels offering 1:1 tuition in performance, sight reading & improvisation. Also Music Theory from an instrument perspective.
  4. Mon dieu! C’est belle. My yob is ‘75. I already sold my soul in the early 90s, but I can’t remember what for. In lieu of standard supernatural currency I’ll trade a kidney and/or lung. Any takers?
  5. Recently I’ve seen promo material for a hard rock tribute act made up exclusively of homosexual males under the title of... wait for it... GayC/DC Here’s a link to an article with videos etc... https://metalheadzone.com/heres-the-gay-ac-dc-tribute-band-gayc-dc/
  6. I’ve always loved Frank’s playing since I discovered Anthrax in high school (early 90s). Really stoked to be seeing them with Slayer in November; Scott Ian is one of my favourite players too.
  7. Fish - Vigil in a Wilderness of Mirrors. Sublime playing from John Giblin throughout. Pearl Jam - Ten.
  8. I’ve always had a soft spot for Billy Gould’s effort on ‘Kindergarten’ by Faith No More: https://g.co/kgs/DQQKMa
  9. Do most of the best players use a 4 string? Probably. Most of the worst ones do too...
  10. I’ve got the remastered (most recent remaster - there’s been a couple) of LED Zeppelin II and IV on vinyl and they sound awesome; much better than the originals in terms of mix clarity and dynamics. I think if they’re done well then it’s a ‘no harm, no foul’ situation.
  11. Donald Fagan’s ‘Nightfly’. Bought it on the recommendation of my bass tutor at the time (hella player and all round nice guy) and since I respected his opinion I sprung for a copy. Very impressive personnel but utterly, utterly unlistenable to me; stale, insipid lift music from the 80s.
  12. Try the auxiliary input
  13. Aren’t those D’addario flats with the black silks?
  14. Erm, through body stringing should involve a shallower angle that that shouldn't it? Those just nose-dive through the body!
  15. LOVE IT!!!!
  16. Most On/On/On switches are set up like this, aren't they? Assuming that the RED and WHITE are the hot outputs from each coil, and H is the signal output the the jack socket then I can't see a reason why it shouldn't work.
  17. Should have gone for the 'Full set' and popped a clip-on tuner on there.
  18. Even if they were the same diameter they have different thread angles; Metric has the threads at 60º, Imperial has them at 55º. Just another reason to get a Metric grub screw.
  19. Really enjoyed that, thanks for sharing!
  20. I've had this before - I seem to remember using a smooth file and removing the silks like that, it's either that or ream the E string hole on the bridge...
  21. 2ME 2U. Unfortunately not a real tribute act, but should be.

    NUX Pedals

I had the NUX mod core and loved it.
  23. if it's preamp clipping, as much as you like, (🤘) power amp clipping is to be avoided at all costs though.
  24. Has anyone ever had to buy one of these to ground the bridge on their Jazz bass? Looking to fit one to a bass but unsure where to get them? Basically it’s just a bent bit of copper, no?
  25. An 1153 would be my recommendation; great little(ish) cab!
