2. Also this: In the context of the rest of the bass it works quite well. That's sh*t as well.

Now with added sound clips. https://soundcloud.com/paul_5/sets/sft-clone
4. My first introduction to DS was my Dad's 'Alchemy' double LP. Awesome, awesome stuff. I still favour it over anything else they did, as good as it was.

SOLD

It's a clone of the version 1 SFT, so it doesn't have the stones/stoner switch. I'll try to get some sound clips done over the weekend.
6. I nominate this thing...
7.
Just had a mail from "See tickets" advertising Dylan at various venues. Not a huge fan but I see him as one those names you sort of ought to maybe see before either of us dies.
Had tickets to see Dylan and Mark Knopfler a year or two ago, gave the, away. Reports back were that Knopfler was very good, Dylan much less good.
8. Too many Jazz basses? No such thing!
9. Hohner Baron Bass (30" scale) Rotosound strings Dreadful Marshall combo (open backed, single speaker with black knobs and white piping) Tandy (remember them?) leads

11. Some nice stuff on here; I'll do what I can to lower the tone... SOLD

Made using Fuzzdog's PCB and 8 JFET transistors to replicate the dynamically sensitive input of a tube amp - so the harder you play, the more grit it delivers. Switchable (internally) to run at either 9v or 18v (onboard charge pump doubles the 9v input) and powered by standard 'Boss' style 9vDC centre negative adaptor. True bypass and metal case. I made this on a whim just to experiment with different dirt pedals, but it's not what I'm after. 2 band EQ (bass and treble) allows you to tailor sound to your own liking. Price includes delivery to mainland UK. REVISED PRICE OF £40 SOLD
15. I'd be inclined to get them to buy a bass for you to play at their gigs - see how serious they are about the look of it...
16. Down that road madness lies; start with a spare bass and end up taking a spare amp and cab and strap and pedalboard etc... I just take the one. If it's set up and maintained regularly then it minimises the chances of failure. One caveat though, if you're playing in different tunings then it's a no-brainer
17.
How do you power this? I've been looking at the voodoo lab 2 to power the board but it doesn't seem to provide the 1000ma required for this pedal??
One Spot. It delivers 1700mA centre negative, so I just put an inverter to power to DHA. I used to run it at 12v on its own adaptor but it's easier to run just one plug. I prefer the sound of it at 9v too - it's a bit dirtier.
18. As above, if I'm gigging with just one pedal it's a light overdrive and DI - currently (and has been for a LONG time) the DHA VT1 EQ. Magic.
19. I'm putting it together myself. Will post some audio samples once it's done.
20. Off the back of this thread I've just ordered a 'Blue Juice' bass O/D PCB from Fuzz Dog to do a 'boutique' low gain circuit and see how it sounds.
21. I've had boththe LH500 and LH1000 and been really impressed by their sound. Never had any reliability issues either. Seems I was one of the lucky ones. Twice.
22. Not cheap, but tiny/wee and great for targeting specific frequencies. http://ews-us.com/item_bassmid.php?item=custom
